Same here. It's for me a completely different kind of pain and annoying than The Chasm or the desserts of Sumeru. Whereas Dragonspine was pretty fun to me, I could not eeven explore the other 2 without wanting to just delete the game entirely.

Also iirc, you only need 60 out of the 80 agates on the map to unlock unlimited agates

I loved Dragonspine, because it was so much more difficult than any other regions back then. Still one of my favourite genshin areas ever
The first time I entered Dragonspine it was to help that poor child, went to the other side of the bride and instantly started running in desperation. Those treasure hoarders hit strong 😢
7:06 Man, this challenge was a total pain. Did it like three years ago when I was seriously under-leveled. Dragonspine's sheer cold was already kicking my butt, and to top it off, the challenge had two cryo mages and a hydro mage cranking up that freezing effect. Didn't even have a pyro character in my lineup, just rolling with electro and the basic team. Spent a good two hours on it before throwing in the towel. Back then, I was clueless about the game mechanics, so it was hella frustrating.
Ha. I remember calling for assistance from a high-leveled Diluc.

Just a quick correction. The Heart Island belongs to Liyue, not Dragonspine. You're supposed to reach it from the Geo Cube boss area, using anemo in a windmill mechanism. Heck, there's even a geo occuli there, I still remember going there in the 1.1 days.
As a 1.0 player, the 1.2 Dragonspine update was MAGICAL. For context, almost all players have explored Mondstadt and Liyue to 100%--we were DYING to have new content. Also as a tropical country-dweller, it's twice more magical for me lol. It was certainly funny with the pyro and sheer cold memes, and tbh I wish mihoyo would bring that kind of challenging environmental condition back. I think the closest was the Withering in Sumeru.
The Eula and Amber interaction, was in fact, actually ver. 2.3. So not the first Dragonspine event obviously during 1.2 which heavily featured Albedo and the Festering Desire. (Btw, I do miss Albedo, I need his C2 mhy pls-)
Also, the first sad story of genshin? No?? Remember Childish Jiang? And the other world quests in Qingce or Mingyun Village? Or even the man in Mondstadt who mourns his daughter behind the cathedral? Yep, those were released right on 1.0.
...add to that the hidden lore in books, artifacts, and weapons dropped right at the game's release. Tons of sad stories there.

The comment was left on January 14th - that's exactly 4 days after January 10th when the state New Year holidays end.
Typically that's when universities are open again and you should go there to take the term exams (schools don't have winter exams, only summer finals).
But to take an exam you first need to hand in the homework for the whole term AND an original term research paper, which actually should've been done weeks ago in December (because you're supposed to work on it for the whole half-year semester).
Naturally, that can pose quite a problem if you were slacking for the whole term thinking «Oh well I'll still have 2-week NY holidays, so there surely will be enough time to do EVERYTHING and prepare for the exams».
But surprisingly every year you procrastinate till the very deadline, so usually at that time of the year you have an insane weeks-long crunch with 5 hours of sleep on a good day.
And only after all that work you're allowed to proceed to the exam itself - which you still could easily fail because you ain't studied shit when you were supposed to.
The 3rd failure means you're expelled; also if you're not allowed to an exam due to the lack of papers, it counts as a failed one as well.
So the whole picture is: the poster's university scholarship is hanging by a thread, and yet as if life's too good they chose to put out fire with gasoline by spending DAYS of their precious time farming the Dragonspine instead.
And while this decision lacks any sense, for some reason it's also so relatable.

MERRY CHRISTMAS WOOOOO
Dude I spent like 2 straight solid weeks in Dragonspine at a low AR and I loved every minute of it. One of my favorite areas in the game, second only to Enkanomiya.
I explored Dragonspine up to 100%. Finished all missions. Picked all crimson agates and still have an extra one in inventory. Got all achievements possible, a claymore, and, surprisingly, a lot of great memories... It started when my stupid 15 AR ass thought that after finishing Liyue it was ready for the last region left.
It was a lot of pain, but looks like I was quite a masochist back then 💀
I still have my old veteran team (Aether, Kaeya, Noelle and Amber) untouched since then in honour of that experience.. I love dragonspine ;;
I loved Dragonspine..... i loved the challenge, it was funny to run screaming from a simple hellicurls and thinking about the plans to kill the big group of enemies by taking one by one

I actually love Dragonspine, it brought a challenge and that's why it may be one of if not my favourite region to explore. I used to spend weeks there and always discover new things wich made me laugh but also shiver in pure anxiety when I didn't expected them
I fully explored Dragonspine (within the first week it came out) and enjoyed doing it. There was just something about the unforgiving yet beautiful snowy landscape that blew my mind. My friends look at my maxed tree, forged Dragonspine weapons and 100% map completion and think I'm insane.

personally dragonspine was and still is my favourite place in genshin and playing with the freezing bar constantly rising made the experience more fun for me and i wish i could go back to when i first started exploring it because I've already completed everything that has to do with it and just go walk around the same paths for fun every now and then but it'll never compare to the utter joy i felt when i was still exploring it

What makes 1.1 was so special to me is that majority of the player (at the time including me) is still new and also fact that lockdown still happend make players tend to explore and finishing this area as soon as possible.. I still remembered My discord mates where we were 3/24hour call on helping each other in this area. Man its 3years ago now

Wait so you couldn't collect 5 Crimson Agates by doing missions every 3 days (or maybe it was every 7 days) because I clearly remember doing simple world challenges to get half of the Crimson Agates required to max out the tree (I started playing around 3.3), I probably still have like 5-6 Crimson Agates floating somewhere in Dragon Spine.
