Next up would be the aprilia. The ducati is fast but is rather dull of an experience because it is so tame. If you want the fastest bike your in the wrong category all together.
The Z H2 does not beat the Tuono, it's a draw. And then since many bikes are quite close, the outcome is not 100% deterministic. At the end, the best clutch feel helps the rider to achieve more often an optimal launch, which explains why the Tuono comes out the best. This is a tournament and the number of starts has an impact.
What? Did you guys make an error or what. In the Aprilia vs ZH2 race, you said it was a tie, but then later on, it now says Aprilia wins? It looks like the ZH2 would be the overall winner since on both races it "lost", the front wheel went up... and at the later races, the difference between the competitors is huge. On the fight of ZH2 vs Aprilia, the wheel went up, but it was a draw... so what now if it didn't wheel up?
Sorry but we do not get your point. Every single race is different and this is a tournament, so it can happen that different races have different outcomes if the two bikes are tied in performance. Yet the Tuono has been the most consistent, while the Z H2 has a lot of raw power but its electronics does not fully come to terms with it. The ability to convert torque into acceleration is the result of the combination of good chassis + good electronics, and the Aprilia has shown to have the best overall package, altough its engine is less powerful. "If it didn't wheel up" simply is not what it has happened.
@@dueruote I also don't get your point. You can see with better management, the wheels didn't go up. You didn't have any electronics upgrade in-between rides, only an improvement in technique. It seems that you are blaming the motorcycle for the lack of technique of your rider. How would it be a fair comparison between the bikes if the rider component is vastly different between each race. Put a beginner on the Aprilla, and put a professional on the Duke, I'm sure you can guess who would win.
Well, we drew straws on each race between our two guys, more or less equally apt in starts. They are both senior testers, of course you cannot rule out the human factor, but a lot of criticism has come from people who do believe in "intrinsic bike performance". There is no such thing unless you would love to live in a future fully ruled by machines (and still). The performance of the bike comes from a combination of sheer power, chassis, electronics, clutch behavior AND the way it all translates into feedback/feeling for the rider. The Tuono has won our race because it is largely better than any other in putting the rider at ease each time, making it simple to pull a good start. This is of capital importance in a tournament, whereas the Z H2 is one of the most difficult bikes to launch because of its tencency to wheel up. You are asking if without this tendency, or in that single, perfect launch out of 100 the Z H2 would win over any other bike? Probably so. But life - and races - are also made of the other 99 starts, and you cannot expect that anyone else waits for that perfect performance. The Tuono launches nearly perfect each time, with ease, and that's why it won. Imagine you are racing with your friends on an airport lane on a single run: if you had some experience of all these bikes, we're pretty sure that you would end up wanting to be on a Tuono, even if the some other bike is hypotetically faster.
But The Tuono is using akrapovich exhaust maybe full system as I can see, and Streetfighter the OEM… so it’s no fair… should be stock all of them for the test

Don’t know about other bikes, but I had 1100 Aprilia tuono factory and Streetfighter v4s. Sfv4s is no doubt both easier to launch and faster pretty much at any speed after 100kmh, gap increases dramatically after 150 kmh or so. Tuono was an awesome bike, nevertheless.
Vostre impressioni ?
Siete fantastici, come sempre.
Hi Greg. We do not really get this "intrinsic bike performance" thing that many viewers seem to favor. When you do a drag race you assess in the process the torque amount; torque distribution over the rev line; clutch feeling and behavior; ability of the chassis to use the torque by limiting the wheeling of the bike and the spin of the rear wheel; ability of the electronics package to assist the chassis in doing so... and it's for free! All those aspects are relevant for a rider in a real street (or track) use of its bike, therefore we think the quarter mile drag race is good for the show bur good as well for the evaluation of the bikes. When you do a rolling test - viceversa, and possibly over greater distances - you essentially assess only the sheer power and power distribution of the engine. That's maybe interesting in itself, but we feel that it's a lot less interesting than a drag race from standstill. Even though the rider skills of course kick in - but that's how life goes, after all. But to level off things, in this tournament we drew the rider of each bike in each race - and had the same tyres for every bike, for instance. So while we're always thinking of new formats and tests, it's unlikely that we'll perform rolling starts. We hope you will keep following us nevertheless!
@@dueruote A drag race from a rolling start still tests all those things you listed it just removes the variable of the rider getting a good launch and "winning" the race. If a rider gets a better launch than the other how is that testing the performance of the bike? A perfect example is the tuono beating the street fighter, the tuono has inferior electronics and is down on power, the only reason it won was because of a good start by the rider.
That's an interesting point. We believe that there is no such thing as "intrinsic bike performance" as the influence of the rider (its weight, size, the way he moves forwards or backwards, the way he pulls the handlebar and so on) is never negligible. Not even in a rolling start test. The performance ALWAYS comes from the combination bike+rider - we have clear evidence of this on any race Sunday in MotoGP - and that is why we love motorcycles so much. The Tuono V4 is second to none in terms of electronics and we do not see why you assume it is inferior to the Streetfighter V4, or that our testers purposedly let the Aprilia win. The Tuono won because it has a better clutch feeling and makes it easier to pull a great start than the Streetfighter does. Additionally this was a tournament, meaning that to consistently get good starts is better rewarded than to get one exceptionally good start any two or three mediocre starts. It is not the rider who decided to start better with the Aprilia; rather, the Aprilia does a wonderful job in putting the rider at ease in any run: once again, it is the combination bike+rider that wins, and in a quarter mile drag race you most probably end up wanting to be the rider on that bike - even if the Ducati comes really close, and would surely win a 500 m drag race. Unfortunately, the 1/4 mile is a standard race and we do not want to set up arbitrary rules just to have a different winner!
@@bobaslavefett111 typical ducati owner cannot except the result, why dont we make the drag strip further than 1/4 mile, until the ducati streetfighter wins ..lol
Because this is a tournament and not a single race. So the clutch feel and strength are of capital importance here. But we're not sure on what basis you say that the Ducati is actually a second faster than Aprilia. "Actually" by which metric? We and our measurements strongly disagree.

@@barbieandbellaadventuresby9134 Actually Panigale 1299 faster than Panigale v4 in 1/4mile. 1299 is very capable of 9.6s-9.8s but v4 struggles to go under 10s and pretty much 10.1s is the best. It's just a nature of the Panigale v4 it's peakier and top-end oriented while 1299 got brutal mid-range but not as powerful on the top end as v4. So shorter drag races 1299 is faster especially out of the line. So it's not about the fairings.

Did you use DPL for the Ducati ??
Hi, no we did not use the launch system for any of the bikes, for reasons that we have explainded already (you'll find the discussion below)
But The Tuono is using akrapovich exhaust maybe full system as I can see, and Streetfighter the OEM… so it’s no fair… should be stock all of them for the test
Where is the z1000?

Thank you so much for this really enjoyed and really hope one day i will keep one of them

It's a 2021 bike, not available in 2020. You see her in our 2021 Drag Race
Brutale ❤,tuono ❤
Insomma MV e tutta scena..grande Aprilia
Awesome show Guys 👍👍👍
Vostre impressioni ?
Siete fantastici,come sempre.
If you did not understand what his saying..He said "He don't like the race."
your subscriber here from the Philippines, yeah beybe
Great video.. 👏👏
Great video. You guys should do some roll on tests that would show more of the performance of the bike and not the rider.
@@JoUtan01 No I just like seeing what the bike can do not the rider. I actually own the 2020 super duke.
Something's wrong here..ducati is actually a second faster than aprilla...it is the fastest hypernaked bike.....why did it lose here?
Because this is a tournament and not a single race. So the clutch feel and strength are of capital importance here. But we're not sure on what basis you say that the Ducati is actually a second faster than Aprilia. "Actually" by which metric? We and our measurements strongly disagree.
Fantastico! Forza Aprilia!!! E solamente incredibile!
The most beautiful drag races of 2020😘
It's kinda unfair coz the Aprilia does not look like a naked bike
EXCELENTE PREUBA, SALUDO DESDE COLOMBIA.
Bella sfida complimenti.
Why is kawasaki stock exhaust always look ugly.,?
Great job 👍👍👍
Oh come ci godo... Se non si è in MotoGP, i 200+ CV servono a poco.
Case produttrici, smettetela di pompare le potenze! Diminuite i kg e i costi zioccane!
A drone cam wud help give better footage
dove è la speed triple ?
Awesome! Bello! Next time, make the distance double and watch the Ducati's horespower!
The gap between the zh2 (its best lauch) and sdr is much greater than the SF and sdr. Give that zh2 a good launch and itl beat all these no matter the distance or skill of rider.
No bmw? They make a hyper naked aswell
Yes, they'll join in 2021!
Ducati is the best 👌🏻❤

I have aprilia SRV 850 my next bike will be the Tuono V4 1100 seguramente
Where is mt10
Nice mate
Is it me or the race between the Duke and The Ducati seems wrong? The Duke can't be smacked right from the first gear like that, even with the old verson.
I'm prefer the Ducati streetfighter v4s the Aprilia have a so good launch but the no is fast i think the Ducati can win with 50 metres more. The Best drag race I expected this race months ago
What really you want is 1/4 mile strip + 50 meters so the ducati streefighter will come out on top in this test...lol
@@JoUtan01 Actually in my local drag strip stock tuono 1100 does stable 10.4s 1/4 mile and sub-10s with experienced drag racer. 1/4 mile
Numbers on Streetfighter v4 wasn't that impressive so the best I've seen so far is 10.7s Panigale v4 the 1/4mile was 10.1s beside the v2 twin models like 1199 and 1299 which could easily go sub 10s Ducati v4 doesn't do well in 1/4 mile.
Anton Newman - To be expected really, the Street fighter is a naked bike where as the others such as the 1299 are fared and much more slippery at higher speeds.
The streetfighter actually a limit on how much torque it can put down during the 1-4 gears so the bike won't end up flying, hence why you can almost always see the panigale screeching ached with quite similar specs🙃
So the most expensive bike is the slowest among these hmmmmm
you don't buy an MV to be the fastest though..
MV's are more of a status symbol, a collectors item, for the connoisseur that only rides bikes like a sommelier only drinks the finest wines
Guys, what about BMW?
We choose to stick to 5 bikes only, for with 6 bikes you jump up to 15 races and with 7 bikes to 21 races... which the clutches would not stand. Knowing that BMW had already updated its S1000RR and S1000XR, we decided to let the S1000R aside waiting for a new release.
@@dueruote Thanks!
So Panigale is the fastest one and that's why Aprilia won 😉
Panigale is shit
@@TheMeridian808 hater?
aprilia has an akrapovic full system.Streetfighter is with the oem exhaust
You guys should have included the s1000r it's old and not as fancy as the bikes here but it's very fast in short drag races also the clutch is perfect on the s1000r.
Yes Anton, that's because we chose to only have 5 bikes in this running. But be sure that next year we'll have the MY21 S1000R included!
Awesome, but the repeated music clip before and after every single race was a bit silly
We want the M1000RR VS THE DUCATI STREET FIGHTER V4S

something is wrong with MV Brutale 1000rr 🙄🙄

lol ducati sf v4s is better...
very difficult to start with ducati, the old strretfighter 1098 was even worse
I think the results more depend on each rider's skill.
The two testers are specialized in instrumental measurements and are able to repeat very similar performances;-)

After all the aprilia bike RSV4 was a motogp champion and the turno is its naked version. And im surprised how the bike with lesss power compares to others seems to overcome and become the winner . Aprilia!!!
the bike has a slip on exhaust or a full system..So is stock. And so is faster lol
Depends on riders.
