    Due to water polution of ocean and so indoor shrimp farm mix with lotus growing is perfect urban food production in food shortage may resulted from fuel crisis challenging logistics. Also indoor seaweed is hidden gold mine too

    All closed high density super intensive systems like these are inherently very capital intensive, and infinitely more risky because not only they are prone to diseases by virtue of very heavy density in a very small space but also, they virtually don't have even little response time. from view if treatment or harvest in case of disease outbreaks.
    And by the way indoor super intensive culture is an old concept. Nothing new. And most importantly most of them have failed commercially. Examples from Americas are many.
    Also, I heard you saying that the post larvae were from the US? Are you kidding? You don't have a hatchery? Can't imagine the cost of the fry brought from the US.

    i'm very interrested in inland fish farming, fish is sold with higher price then most meat where i live, and we should not relly on ocean fishers for food, yet we should use their expertice to farm it inlands.

      +Jasper van Manen - Fish are High $$$ anywhere. The only Fishes that is not High are Fresh Water Farm Fishes in China or Asia. Anything come from the Ocean are Top $$$.

    • @JasperKlijndijk
      @JasperKlijndijk 7 лет назад

      you think with use of tech, can it be produced inlands cheaper then fished at sea?

    • @stinkygreenmonkey1245
      @stinkygreenmonkey1245 7 лет назад +1

      You could use aquaponics to farm fish. It is a closed loop system that grows plants to syphon waste nitrogen from the water. Herbs, lettuces, and cabbages are preferred. The fish are usually not profitable in most places due to electrical and expensive start up costs, but cost of electricity can be curbed with solar energy. You can work in fresh water prawn into the cultivation, as well. If you live in a cool climate, you could grow rainbow trout and possibly crawfish. Any fish waste (poo and guts) can be turned into fertilizer and sold.
