NRG short hub Install 240sx s13

Today we are installing an NRG short hub on a buddies car. He is planning to do a quick release in the near future.
The NRG short hub is about half the size of the MOMO hub that was on the car.
Note That if you only install the Short hub on your s13, you may have issues where the horn button hits the steering shaft. If this is the case you might need to change your horn mount. In this car the recessed mount doesn't work as it touches the steering shaft and will trigger the horn. We decided to leave the button off for now as we will be doing a quick release soon.

Is there suppose to be like a little space between the column and back end of the shorthub ? I installed mine on my civic and theres like this tiny gap between the back end of the short hub and steering column
