Taking parts of Reefs isn't really fair to the creatures on the rock that die in boxes, or the inhabitants of the reefs that lose their homes. I think it's very important to use man created rock in your tank if you can, especially if you intend to have a lot of base rock. The future is important too,....not just the present.
Amanda Wilson Fair life isn't fair. Man made rock isn't going to make a lot of difference. A lot of these places use live rock for bases of their roads and septic systems etc. if the current trend continues it won't matter anymore because their won't be many if any reefs left. As long as it's available I'll only buy real live rock. You do you
