I’ve torn mine completely down disconnected the buttons and all. Not to bad of a job putting it back together was a bit of a pain though. I wanted to deep clean the one that I had bought for longer life of the console and ease of mind.

I did this and it worked!! Much easier than repairing the trace all the way past the damage.
