- As we get close to our departure for the cross-country trip, we take a look at both of the Jeeps that will be going on this Adventure and discuss the work that went to preparing each for the trip.
Check out Ken's JL Rubicon Build here:

Very nice build! Love the idea of sound deadening the tub and hard top. I might have to incorporate some of these mods/DIYs in my TJ.
That Sahara is a very capable well built animal. Great work! 🇺🇸
Great video and a really nice overview. That fold out tailgate table is one of the coolest I have seen! I will definitely be adding that to my 2002 TJ.
Scott
I like the fender flares. Similar to mine but mine are bare aluminum. I think i like the black better though! And from Michigan!! Sweet!
Great jeep! Very nice clean and capable!
Bobs Jeep is freaking sweet!!!! I wanta put real $ in mine but it's 4cyl. I know you're saying even better but its going to be a huge bill to build it.
Jeep yang bagus dan mengagumkan👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Nice walk around.
I'm not a pro at this. It's just fun to share the journey
@Odorous Smegma haha you funny guy
Nice booger welds at 9:22, looks OEM xD polishing a turd that's rotted out.
On behalf of Holiday inn Express I would love to thank you for staying at our hotel. You are now a certified expert in everything!! Thanks and come again
Never claimed to be an expert, but hey it's got plenty of "rusty" parts. Maybe y'all can stay at the holiday inn when the frame cracks xD.
Do you think we can really afford to stay at a Holiday inn? We can't even afford a non-rusty frame that won't crack and fall apart.
@@AllProAutoOffroad Haha, got me there.
Awesome jeep!!!
What did you use for the roof liner? Been wanting to do that with mine for insulation and noise reduction.
We used Boom Mat for the TJ headliner. It comes in a few different colors and is offered at multiple different sites. here is a link to Amazon.

Nice work 👍keep it up....
Thanks
I just got my first jeep. It is a bone stock 01 sport, 4.0 with the 32rh and 3.07 gears. I am looking at either getting the complete rustys offroad 3" longarm kit or just getting their arms/joins/skid and getting either metalcloak or rock krawler springs. I was wondering if you would recommend the rustys kit as I have seen lots of mixed reviews on their stuff but see that you have featured a lot of their products on your channel
I would keep it simple, do the short arm 3 inch Rusty's kit with rx800 shocks, high clearance fenders and up to a 35 inch tire.
If you call the shop I can hook you up with parts and save you some money
Nice Jeep build!!!!! Now I'm not sure about your state but in Texas a vehicle is required to have a functional emergency\ park brake to pass annual state vehicle inspection. Fun fact: there is a little know law in Texas that no matter the transmission you must have the parking brake applied when the vehicle is parked and driver is out of the vehicle.
We don't have inspections in Michigan.
Nice
how is the license plate lit with that new bracket?
Are those the 4in or 6in metal cloak fenders?
4 inch
Beast of a Jeep, where did you get the headlights and the thing behind the grill?
Thanks! Headlights were purchased from Extreme Terrain... LED headlights with integrated turn signals. I don't remember the brand of the grill inserts, but they are black stainless snap on individual inserts. They go on the outside of the grill, not behind it.
Do you have a video on your current overland setup, mostly interior layout etc. How are you sleeping in it
We string a hammock from corner to corner across the Jeep. we used plastic totes and an arb fridge/freezer. If you watch our latest video you can see briefly how his hammock was at the very end of the video. Thats all I can offer for now
I’m just curious what that box was on the back window
It's a cover for the wiper motor
Que trabajo le hizo al techo para aizlar calor?
On the Rockslide Engineering site they only have the tables for the JK and JL. Did they stop making the TJ model or is yours one of the existing two options?
Scott
It appears they don't have them anymore
@@AllProAutoOffroad Thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate it.
Scott
@@gorillahd9247 my pleasure
@@AllProAutoOffroad I might need to call them and see if they have one being used as a doorstop in the shop or hidden away in a closet somewhere. lol
@@AllProAutoOffroad I just got off the phone with them. The JK model also works for the TJ.
Scott
What gears are you running & what did you do to the third brake light on back? Is the wiring still there or delete all together? I might have more questions since I have a 97 tj. Thanks for the input.
456 gears, air lockers and alloy shaft
No third brake light. It's been deleted
The tire on tail gate is much better than a tire carrier on bumper? Just asking before I go buy or have one built.
Yes, most tire carrier bumpers suck and fail often. I have seen litterally every brand fail.
This is a Rusty's off road tire carrier. They are crazy strong and reliable. It's the only good choice IMO
where did you get the stuff to do the floor with? Does it help, ever though about rhino lining over it? Any support or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Awesome TJ..
nice tailights, but how do you light the license plate?
l
There is no more license plate light. It went away with the old tail lights. Has not been an issue yet.
Can you do a video for the tire carrier alone?
It's already mounted so not at this time
On short arms? How’s the ride?
It's only 3 inches of lift so it rides amazing with dual rate coils and killer shock setup.
Αδελφέ εισαι ελληνας; Bro are you from Greek?
Έλληνας είμαι αλλά γεννημενoς στην Αμερική.

I know I am pretty randomly asking but do anyone know of a good site to stream newly released tv shows online?
@Benjamin Marley i use Flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
Are you in Michigan I’m in flint was wondering if you could help me out
H3armitage@gmail.com
Yes. We are over by Lansing.
Call us 517-485-8662
How do you legally get it inspected without an E break
We don't have inspections in Michigan
AllPro Auto & Offroad wow no kidding. I didn’t know that. Thanks
What's the back spacing on the wheels
I think 4.5" but not 100% sure. They are Cragar Soft 8 397 steel wheels.
What battery terminals are those?
something from amazon
not sure
Does he say how many inches of lift?
He is about 3.5 inch
E-brake removal 🤣
👍
What rear axle are you running?
Built d44
Not a fan of rustys got the rustys 5.5 long arm kit nothing but problems.
No company will keep every customer happy. It sucks but it happens.
Cross country in a 3 speed. No thanks
How many more would you need to go cross country? hahaha
@@greekboy5155 well I've got a tj 3 speed auto with 4.56 on 35s and could really use an overdrive. I just hate the sound of that straight 6 spinning at 3k+. Hurts my feelings eating up that great motor
@@humzilla707 what do u mean? Like u wanna gear it higher?
@@benjaminarredondo3038 no , I want more gears. It's a long spread in a single gear and by the time I get to 65 mpg I'm at 3k rpm. If I try to leave town the speed limit is 75 and most are doing 80-85.
@@humzilla707 so do you plan on doing a Manuel swap?
