Infinite Restoration with Ergo Sum

- You can get infinite restoration using ergo sum. This is the only sword that takes special ammo which means we can run a normal heavy weapon for DPS and also use stronghold for survivability. Stronghold makes it so you can block indefinitely with swords and each time you block damage, you build up stacks of perfect guard. Then whenever you hit an enemy with your sword, it will consume your stacks and give you restoration times 2. But it gets better because you can use Ember of empyrean to refresh the duration of restoration with solar kills. So if you have a solar Ergo Sum, you can block with this weapon to get the best restoration in the game, then just get kills with it to keep it going forever. And if you ever let it run out, just block again to start it back up.

It’s hard to say you’re doing crowd control when the entire room is dead after a few swings.

Don’t go for heavy, go for vortex, it’s spawns 10 telesto bolts instead of 7.

That caster frame perfect 5th ergo sum is alluding me so hard. I'd sacrifice my best class item just to get that roll

I honestly prefer perfect fifth with the vortex frame.

I’m running this set on prismatic with a perfect 5th caster frame and a stasis sword as heavy to cosplay as Kratos. new void super for the axes is a must and entering transcendent feels like activating rage in God of War.
A similar build you can use is the Edge of Intent and the Karnstein Armlets. Basically infinite regen and cure if you can chain glaive melees.
If anyone is wondering, Ergo sum comes from the Latin phrase “cogito ergo sum”, which means “I think, therefore I am”
It’s also the phrase AM uses from the book “I have no mouth but I must scream”

Got arc conductor wave frame and I thought to myself "I become a walking tesla, right?" so I went ahead and paired that with strand warlock, running weavewalk (and threadlings for the sake of it). Basically, activate your heavy attack to launch yourself up in the air, consume your melee to weavewalk = indestructable living tesla

I kept lfg-ing til I got lucky with a lore accurate trio who carried the final damage phase by themselves lmao. Big thing to let the randoms know is that you all get a free rez even if only one person is left standing when you get to dps. Some still leave, but most just assumed they were down for the duration.
Just be patient when attempting brotha. I did fireteam finder for my catalyst but there was only like 2-3 guardians who knew what they were doing. Prioritize farming revives for the team off the constant champions spawning using transcendent pools. If everyone can still alive, it’s just a matter of time for success. 3rd damage phase was up and we still had the witness at about 80% health. People were leaving the fireteam because of not enough DPS but that last dps phase never ended😂 was able to burn the rest of his health away with primary until completion lmao
I got mine by being warlock. The only other two warlocks and I kept healing constantly. I mean CONSTANTLY. Rifts, healing turrets or anything. Just keep an eye out for the champions, they're mean in that activity.
The activity has Multiplicity, I consistently did mine with 6-8 people (multiple other successful runs). So you don't need to find all 11 other guardians

If your using a caster frame you can proc it from a distance

The problem with this setup is that the Ergo sum roll is gonna run out of ammo very fast. Ergo sum is meant to be run on prismatic

If only the ergo sum perks were not tied to element then you could have an arc conductor solar ergo sun that this season can have infinite ammo and restoration
As an old strongholds veteran i have to say that the ergo sum frames are not as efficient at reducing as the heavy weapon swords are, while it's probably to balance out for being a special weapon strongholds are just completely unnecessary in content that isn't difficult, which means to get the most use out of stronghold, you'll want to use it in content like gms and legend or master lost sectors, the DMG resistance the ergo sum gives isnt good enough for that level of difficulty so you'll have to stick with either crown splitter or throne cleaver, since heavy ammo aggressive frame swords have the highest dmg resistance stat of all swords (I know strongholds says it maxed stats but sword frames do have varying dmg resistance stats that go beyond the visual stats on the sword) it's great for being a tank or anchor for your team, I primarily use it to distract enemies or bosses so my teammates can attack without being obliterated immediately, it also helps it getting revives in areas where there might not be any cover so you become the cover that shields your teammates, while the restoration is nice it's not primarily gonna save you by itself in higher difficulty content so I like to pair it with strand for woven mail, using into the fray and banner of war, and of course it'll also boil down to how well your sword skills are, juice your build as much as you want but if you don't know how to use strongholds right you're not being much help for anyone other than yourself

Plus, if you have Sol invictus, after getting max stacks of perfect guard, Sol will bring you back to 24 seconds of restoration x2

@@m_the_third I tried it against my normal testing site and I got down to half health quicker then prenerf, it use to be what I ran for legend lost sectors and nightfalls but now I’ve had to rely on new builds
