Honestly this dude could play any role and kill it. One of the greatest actors of all time. It's been a privilege to watch his work and it'll be a shame the day he is no longer here with us.

Oh man. I never thought of it. But my goodness he could embody it visually so well. If we could have him work with Mark Hamill and somehow get the voice right, this would be 10000% perfect.
How Willem Dafoe still doesn't have an Oscar to his name is beyond me! He even admitted that, it's nice to be nominated. Really should've gotten one for his incredible performance in The Lighthouse.
I really think he should have gotten it for At Eternity's Gate and was so disappointed he didn't.

There is not other actor alive that looks EXACTLY like the Joker. He looks just like the Arkham games version specifically. No other person has the chin, nose, eyes, smile, EVERYTHING like he does. And I have no idea how it hasn’t happened yet.
He naturally sounds a lot like Hamill’s Joker too. So it’s all right there.

Willem has this uncanny ability to make me smile. Just look at those mannerisms, the way he interacts, that approachable charm, not a hint of arrogance, his cuddly demeanor... I'm Stanning right now, but I love him, that's all there is to it. I really love him.

Man, I felt the exact same emotions when watching him in this interview. I've never seen him in an interview actually, and until now, I had no idea to to expect from his RL personality. Reminds me of a down to earth, lovable uncle that I could hang and laugh with at a family members bday party.
He seems so down to earth and just a humble guy. Would love to meet him one day and just say thank you for the great movies .

I never realized that on top of being a fantastic actor he's also an incredibly kind individual
He can fly under the radar a little, but Dafoe has been my most watched actor 2 years in a row. He’s always working with interesting filmmakers and choosing good material to work with and he’s been doing it like that since the 80s. His on going collaborations with Abel Ferrara are some of my favourites.

Most people only know him for Goblin but He is SUCH a talent in so many other films. His smaller rolls in Platoon and English Patient are stellar. Florida Project is also incredible.
His performance in "The Lighthouse" was spectacular!

I grew up having nightmares of him partly because of the spider man movie partly because he looked like my abusive dad who i didn't see for years (so his face kinda became my dads.)

They’re probably gonna go for a younger actor for Joker in the new DCU (and they probably won’t explore Joker until later since Joker’s been done to death already), but still. It would be a dream come true if they pick him as the Joker for the new DCU. Or for any DC universe as long as that universe is executed well. He’s got my vote to play Joker. All day, any day.
