You can't argue against a malignant narcissist. Just watch any channel discussing narcissism and they all say the same thing. They lie, they gaslight, and they deflect so don't argue It is impossible.
This is the truth, I have tried, its like trying to swat a fly with a straw. You just gotta let them ramble, pick your points and land them strongly and decisively, that way you take control and sound in control. Chasing them around the debate, especially with a time limit is going to put you at a huge disadvantage. It is quicker for them to flip off a quick distortion and move on than it is for you to analyse that pull it to pieces, fact check, assemble the proof that it is so and present it. By that time the bells gone.

I believe the CNN didn't conduct and moderate the debate very well at all. The presenters should have prepared the facts and interrupted Trump about the accuracy of his facts and claims he was making. The debates should have some strict restrictions and regulations about candidates telling the truth, but only the truth . Not conspiracy theories!!
i am a board certified Emergency Medicine Physician. The most common cause for acute confusion in the elderly is infection. All infections can cause confusion, but typically are much more likely in the elderly, especially after age 75.
The most common infectious etiologies are urine infection, pneumonia and bronchitis. Elderly Confusion that is relatively sudden in onset will often wax and wane until eradicated. This could explain the intermittent confusion mixed with periods of a clear mind, such as with the north Carolina rally the next day. His cough requires a chest x ray and if negative a chest CAT scan, along with blood work and a urine sample. If all negative, then a full dementia workup as certain types of dementia, including alzeimers, can cause impaired short term (anterograde) amnesia. The workup can be completed within a few days and typically requires a brain CAT scan or MRI, blood, urine, and geriatrician evaluation, possibly a Psychiatrist as well. Simple, clear, logical and fact based approach to the etiology of his poor debate perfomrance that can allow for improved confidence in his continued ability to remain president.

This is not a sudden onset! Some of the videos are hidden or downplayed. What was going on was a classic case of sundowning.
@@kellidetring2698 sundowning is a symptom from a previous diagnosis of alzeimers. He does not have that diagnosis so you cannot comfirm that symptom. Of course whether his behavior is acute or chronic depends on factors we cannot access without his full evaluation. So whether his behavior is acute, subwcute or chronic recurrent behavior cannot be fully determined. However, his behavior witnessed on televised events do not reflect a chronic issue. But the televised events may indeed not reflect his true chronic abnormal behaviors. We are basically both speculating but possible sundowning and/or delirium require exactly what I previously mentioned. A full medical evaluation.

He started his day EARLY at Camp David, with two appointments in addition to his daily briefing. Then he traveled to Joint Base Andrews, and then he flew to Atlanta for the 90-minute debate, starting at 9:00 that night. So yes, you were right to question his campaign people -- but not about sending the "wrong" Joe Biden. Question them about why they put him through such a grueling day leading up to the debate. Also, why didn't Biden's campaign people insist the debate be held in D.C.? He is, after all, the sitting president of the United States, while his opponent is an unemployed private citizen.

I am confused about what happened. Unless it’s a form of sundowners or medication interaction or something…. There had to be some explanation. I am deeply concerned about another Trump presidency and I do know Biden has a really good record and has been governing well, but I was stunned and literally cried before I went to bed that night. Had everyone just tried to spin and not acknowledge what I (and everyone) saw with our own eyes, I would have been more stressed. I’m concerned that the Biden team is doubling down and not appearing to consider what happened. It was not a “little stumble.” Every friend I know texted me in a panic. How are we going to get out the vote when there isn’t a real explanation for what happened. I don’t think any democrat will switch to vote for Trump, but I can see people being discouraged and not voting, which is frightening. Aside from how much we cannot let Trump win, we also do need to know that he can do this job until he’s 86. It is frustrating that Biden and his team aren’t responding to what we saw and can’t “unsee.” I was devastated and his completely different performance at the rally the following day only confused me. I’m a therapist. Was he fighting a panic attack? It appeared neurological. The very soft voice and brain-melting down into incoherence. What was going on? I’m fully aware of his stutter and typical problems speaking. Minimizing doesn’t make me feel better. Owning what happened and coming up with a solution now is necessary.

he has a stutter and has had it since childhood. When people who stutter have to talk under pressure it is hard to get the words out. He was angry in the beginning because Trump talked about his son. It took him a bit to calm down and focus. I think he was also trying to decide what to argue against that Trump had said and answer his own questions and in the end, he decided to ignore most of what Trump was lying about and just answer the questions. Also, he had been to an international meeting the night before the debate and was fighting a cold. I think the rally shows that he can bounce back from a bad experience and kick butt.
@@waughtercolors It did seem like after that first really bad stumble he kind of had a brain shut down. I get what it’s like to struggle getting thoughts or words out… I was top of my class from high school through graduate school but now in my 50’s after autoimmune disease (Hashimoto’s), two bouts of breast cancer and going under anesthesia 7 times in the past four years, I especially notice time post-op where I really struggle and get things mixed up. As a therapist, I can’t nod off from exhaustion in the middle of a session, so I’ve had to take time off after each surgery until I’m able to really focus. I also absolutely cannot stay awake for an all-nighter to meet a deadline for documentation or a grant. The body wears down and you have to respect those limits which might be trauma-related or illness, not necessarily age- I have two parents that are both still very active in their late 70’s, but not in their prime- I think it’s amazing that he can even tolerate international travel and the stress and demands of all his responsibilities. But none of us like to face when we are struggling as we age. (I will add, I’m a very “young” 57, my partner is 45, and most people think I look and act like I’m in my 30’s.. so I wasn’t a person that automatically had a major issue with a candidate in their late 70’s, there are people that are more youthful and fit physically and mentally, but I am concerned. 82-86.. I just think of how a 4 year presidency and stress ages anyone. Biden has resiliency. Had he not chosen to do this job, he might be one of those guys living well at 102, but he has tremendous demands most every day. Again, I get the stutter and we’ve all seen him struggle to get words out, but whatever the cause.. his team was crazy to have him do an international flight and take on Trump at 9pm with a cold with our democracy on the line and nearly 50 million people watching… I do think it warrants a real honest discussion. There was a big change in my parents from 68-78, I imagine 78-86 would be more so.

If the skeptics or concerned democrats didn't speak up Biden may have thought oh I did a good job I got this in the bag, instead he sees where he messed up and what to do. The debate went as much in favor of Trump as possible and it still won't make the difference for 99.99% of Americans. I doubt anyone who was voting Biden changed to trump and only a very few small percent of undecided might be leaning more towards Trump now. A lot of time for Biden to clean things up.
