Some tarriffs in some situations make sense. Not tariff walls around the country that will drive massive inflation.

Yes, agreed, where you have tremendous manufacturing and agricultural potential, some tariffs make sense, as long as you can foster innovation, greater quality products and more efficient processes at home. Without joining the EU, the French agricultural sector would have collapsed, as neither their pre-EU tariffs, nor their efforts to make their processes and supply chains more efficient, were working. So one can't really work without the other.

If I made over 400 000 $ I would agree that I should pay higher taxes .We need better public services ans investment into the environment , education, infrastructure , public health, and so on .there should be a progressive tax increase for high earners .

And how much more WOULD that be? Here's my actual biweekly paycheck and my tax breakdown that's hitting my bank account on friday. How much did I earn? $35,103.89. How much of that did i get to keeep? $22,199.98. In the past two weeks, I paid $9,410.58 in Federal income tax, $507.12 in MED, $314.76 in MEDHI, $1,575.00 in state taxes. I already hit my max of SS, but that was $1,300 per paycheck. How dare you tell me that me sending $9,410.58 every two weeks to my government to spend on education, infrastructure, and public health ISN'T enough and should be more. I give almost 40% of my paycheck to my country every two weeks and all you people who "earn less" never even thank us. You should thank us.

I'm registered independent. I'm listen to both sides. At this point, I've definitely made up my mind. BUT............and maybe I missed it.....the one question I've never heard anybody ask or either candidate answer........How are you going to manage Congress who, in my humble opinion has been a failure the past 12 years. The President can't implement anything unless they can get the 2 parties to work together to work for all Americans and not their own personal interests.

Hello Stephanie. I have a question someone should ask Trump.
How can he expect to promise lower energy costs when he simultaneously rejects any Climate change measures?
Does he not realize that the adverse and might I say unusual weather anomalies are a result of climate change and will only continue.
Very soon people will need more air conditioning and more home heating to manage extreme weather conditions as a result of the climate changes.
This will cost the average households hundreds more each year.
Moreover, utilities suppliers (electricity and water) will most assuredly try to take advantage of this.
Let me ask you a question? Hasn't the Democrat Party been promising climate catastrophe since 1970 and running on a platform that if we don't do something in 10 years we're all doomed?
I remember one decade it was rapid warming. The next decade it was we have destroyed the ozone layer and have a massive hole in it that's going to get exponentially worse and causes all to die from radiation when that ozone hole healed itself pretty quickly. Then the next decade they talked about how we were going to spark a new ice age. Then after that the next decade they ran on the platform of global warming but then the global climate started to cool so they decided to switch that to climate change because of course the climate always changes and always will and has and they can never be wrong on that assertion.
I guess my question is, considering Democrats have been running on this 10-year claim of Doom and continuously switching their claims and of course being wrong each time then why should we believe them now and why should we sacrifice the American dream and sheep energy over that when we're not ready to use renewables?

Inflation is currently 2.5%. Lower than where it was in mid-2018.

Please note that this election is not about how good Harris is, but rather, about how the GOP self-destructed by going with Trump. The GOP has many decent and qualified candidates, and there was no good reason for the GOP to go with Trump. That's the real sad story.

Again not an opinion, it's a fact. Kamala Harris's mother is Indian. Kamala Harris's father is Afro-jamaican and Irish-Jamaican and he never identified as a black man though technically he would have a right to do so given the fact that he's roughly Half Black & Half White given the fact that both of his parents were Afro Caucasian mix. Kamala Harris is 30% Black at most. Oh and you know what? That's a beautiful thing. There's nothing wrong with that whatsoever. For kamala's entire life she has been celebrated as being the first Indian American district attorney. Then she was celebrated as being the first Indiana American attorney general of California. Then she was celebrated as being the first Indian American US senator. Then in 2020 She became a "woman of color" and a "person of color". Oh and that is a term by the way that I absolutely LOATHE and that is because it is so close to the phrase "colored people".
Oh and by the way, I think the fact that the United States brands somebody who is half black and half white as being black or somebody who is half Hispanic and half black as being black or even somebody who is one quarter black as being black is racism. I think it is white supremacy and practice? Because anytime that somebody has a little bit of black in them you brand them as black over all of the other races within them and I think that's disgusting.
