Josie, I live in a resort town in the south. We have many churches. Every one of them offers free meals one day a week. Together they structured it so that each church has a different day. The need is great! Our church had to make the decision to only allow adults to do the volunteering. We learned that some of the children in need recognized the volunteer children. They were ashamed of their need and some stopped coming. 💔Our children understood and were able to contribute " behind the scenes". The need is only becoming greater. Praying for our country. 🙏🙏🙏💪🇺🇸
Lovely talk. We do need the Lord to fill us with compassion for others.
Enjoy your growing up stories. Please keep them coming!
You are such a sweet soul. Thank you for reminding us we need to help those who are hurting. Love our neighbors whether near or far. His bless you Josie.
Such a great video Josie I teared up a couple times. You are exactly right we need to pay attention to our neighbors needs. ❤
Thankyou Josie, for reminding us…. God help us all !
Josie, once again have blessed my heart with your your sweet loving stories and information that I sometimes take advantage of. You are a true sweet, encouraging, blessed special lady. Thank you for sharing.😊❤
Extremely good talk Josie. You brought us back to center of who we used to be in America and that we MUST zero in on compassion for all around us, especially being in tune to reaching out and making a difference in someone's life as we had in our grown up years. Stay warm and God Bless you and yours.
Thank you so much
What a special video....thank you for a quick reminder of loving your neighbor. God bless.
Our temps ,here in coastal SC, this week, are going to range from 19° to 70°. Of course we certainly not use temps that low in the south. Praying for everyone everywhere! 🙏🙏🙏
One of your best videos. Thanks 👍❤
Wow, thank you!
Thanks for the encouraging words!! Great message.
Thank you for your wise words. I love you Josie, I really do!
What a wonderful video Josie! You and your family are a true blessing to us❣🥰
I love your videos!! You inspire me to be a better person and remember the really important things in life! God bless you always!!
Thank you for the reminder Miss Josie, we all need to be aware of those around us and think of simple ways we can show our love just as Jesus told us we should do.
This may seem silly, I have a coworker that has been through some rough times (some of them by her own actions). She is really trying to do right by her children. She doesn't really have good cooking skills.
I wrote down about 10 recipes that are easy to make and use wholesome ingredients. She had already tried a few and is so excited! Hey kids are excited!
I feel blessed to be able to share such a simple thing with someone who needed it.
Many blessings to you as always. 💞
That is a great idea. Sometimes it's a lack of knowledge to be able to do better with something, and we can all use that.
I wish i lived somewhere like you guys ...where people talk to each other ☹️ thank God for you Josie and the videos you make🙏x
Something that I'm acutely aware of is "a touch" .... with the homeless they are treated like the lepers in the Bible - unclean! I introduce myself with my hand extended, "Oh no! I'm dirty." "You're not too dirty for me" as I grasp their hand with both of mine. Remembering their name brings tears to their eyes. Just a touch on their arm or hand. Compassion! But for the grace of God go I.
I love you Josie.
Very awesome video thank you for being you.
I serve with another Christian lady in two homeless soup kitchen outreaches. Spokane, nearby city, has 2,300 homeless people! We serve at least 100 every Monday. We gave away 16 pairs of gloves and could have given that many more if we had them. The other one is on Thursdays and is in a small community of about 2,000 and has few homeless people, but there are low income people. Matt 25 - "you fed me when I was hungry".
An article in a local paper said that they reached out to 200 churches in Spokane to open up as warming centers and only 4 agreed. What has happened to our compassion? The Lord loves those folks as much as he loves you and me! It makes me want to cry.
It is heart wrenching
Days are getting very dark and stressful for so many. Stop, look, listen. Give kind words a hug a handshake. Assist with physical needs as you have the ability. Pray and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Thanks
Thank you Josie. Great video.
What a wonderful video. I really enjoy listening to stories of your growing up. I have a special aunt that tells me all kinds stories of her living at home with my mom and my grandparents. I could listen for hours. We have a warming centre here in our small town and it's over full many nights. So many people in need here. Thank you for reminding us we need to have compassion and help in whatever way we can. It's cold up here in Ontario and we have a ways to go yet before spring!
In Edgewood Maryland were I live is 30 degrees Fahingt . We received 4 inches of snow.
Hi Josie, we live in central Alabama, and it has been so cold. Take care sweet family. 😊
Down here in ga I also have the windows covered with quilts. 😊 do what you gotta do
