I got the Pro model after getting rid of my dell alienware laptop and honestly Lenovo completely ate with the Pro gaming laptop because its far cheaper then alienware and you get so much more bang for your buck with it. I love the fact that they put vents on the back and the sides of the laptop and raised the bottom for better airflow, I overclocked the laptop on graphically intensive games like G2W on max setting and it handels it really well!
I looked at Alienware too but, after reading several reviews, I went with the 5i Pro instead. Never owned a Lenovo but they are typically at the top of the gaming laptop list so looking forward to putting it through its paces.
Im being so fr when I say they literally cost the exact same, B&H has frequent sales on the Pro 5i 2023 Model which has a 13900HX and 4070 or a 13700HX with a 4060, all come with 32GB or Ram and a 240Hz display.
Lenovo's wave of mega silent firings in early 2023 were absolutely despicable. They laid of thousands of really great people after posting record profits and bragging about moving up the Forbes list each quarter in their "All Hands" NA org sales meetings to those people that moved the needle for them. They ruined thousands of people's lives, especially those that relocated and even bought new homes during the peak of covid when Lenovo asked for their dedication to support and grow the business. Their warranty process is atrocious and considered terrible by anyone who has had to deal with service claims on top of this.
I am using a Legion pro 5i (32GB, 1T SSD) and love it very much. I added a 2nd 4T SSD and its as good as it gets for my usage. Just one downside about this laptop is the battery life last about 2.5 hours which can be a bit too fast. If only there's a higher capacity battery (Maybe 100 or 120W) that will be great.

Got an XPS-15 9500 in 2020 for almost $4000 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!). The thing is limping out its last this week, was constantly malfunctioning throughout its entire existence. Even as someone who will use my laptop for absolutely everything, I look at the selection of gaming laptops available and I feel like I got conned. If it is possible to fit such high performance into a package that costs half of an XPS-15, then what in the hell did I pay for in the first place? Why are high performance business laptops even a concept?
I always thought Dell laptops were a scam (in terms of value for money). Till date I have owned HP dv6 (2010), Dell Latitude 3450 (2016) and LOQ 2023. Dell was much worse than HP. Even today I see the specs of Dell XPS and wonder why are they costing a bomb 😄

It apparently is a faulty mother board. I have seen others who purchased the same computer late 2022 early 2023 have had the same issues as well. If it was an automobile there would be a recall, but not with the computer. I bought it in the usa and brought it back overseas. The others I have read about were in the usa and have had terrible service with lenovo getting it fixed. long waiting times and excessive cost to replace the mother board. I have since replaced it with another brand and I will never buy lenovo again.

Luna 5i in that slim case with 14650hx is getting hot even in basic use mode (up to 157 TDP)!. Lenovo Vantage gives you opportunity to turn coolers manually and with higher rpm..but it was Not so usefull. They new "cooling sistem" its just marketing, does not the job.I sold it after 1 week usage, and I am so happy I got rid of it.
I had 5i, i hated how loud it was so I turned it back. Lenovo doesn't even give you full control of the fan speed, but that doesn't matter because even at full speed it was getting hot.

What CPU? A 14900HX/13900HX (or any HX really) is pretty much a desktop processor. It is going to yield shit battery life in anything. It’s the price to pay for all that power. Also, you lose like half the computing power when running off battery. A gaming laptop isn’t meant to game when unplugged. To get decent battery life in a gaming laptop, have to bump down to an H series processor, which hurts performance.

That gave me an idea that you could make a very in-depth comparison between an Android phone and an iPhone (could be a comparably priced Samsung, Xiaomi, Pixel or just about any Android phone at about the iPhone price). But I'd love it to be *extremely* in-depth. There are many features no one talks about when comparing Android with iOS, like the enormous gap in functionality between Android keyboards (e.g. Gboard) & the iPhone keyboard, the fact that on iOS some settings are in the app they're related to and some in the global settings, or multiple various flavours of customization, which iOS just simply lacks. I feel like the vast majority of tech RUclipsrs don't even touch on these topics when comparing Android phones with iPhones, creating the fake impression that they're... comparable. While the way I see it, iOS is basically impaired in comparison to Android, because of so many features lacking. What do you think about doing such a video? Very interesting up 32GB of RAM GAMING laptop computers, difficult to choose between them, so OS, I choose BOTH of them and or TWO of the same kind, one for Gaming and the other for personal usage only. Other than that, I don’t really like the trackpad in the middle of the Keyboard, I think a better designed laptop trackpad should BE move to the right under the numeric keypad of the laptop’s keyboard and that is that, but yes I guess is difficult to place the keyboard in the middle of the Laptop, which should be ideal, except when there is a numeric keypad involved, right? 😺🥰💻✨💎

My lenovo legion 5 died after a year and a half. I used to be a big lenovo fan but not now. Unacceptable. Surfed the net and I find I am not alone.

Other than that, I don’t really like the trackpad in the middle of the Keyboard, I think a better designed laptop trackpad should BE move to the right under the numeric keypad of the laptop’s keyboard and that is that, but yes I guess is difficult to place the keyboard in the middle of the Laptop, which should be ideal, except when there is a numeric keypad involved, right? 😺🥰💻✨💎

Somebody talked about Ella doing the ecosystem of Samsung and Apple personally I prefer the Samsung I have one of their very good tablets the s24 ultra and one of the qled TVs 75 in of course anybody that wants Apple that's up to them I wouldn't have one but you hear a lot of Americans say bye American and then they go out and buy an iPhone made in China now apple is an American company but it still made in China although I don't have any problem with anything made in China I've had two of their Hisense tvs and they're very good
