  • In this video, I'll walk you through my approach to working with porcelain to create a porcelain BJD. It's a lengthy process, but I enjoy it so much. Can't wait to finish this new doll!

    This was very interesting. Seeing the mold lines removed was the most relaxing process to watch. I love the doll's beautiful, warm, skin tone.

      Thank you! I will definitely film everything, I like to document the process even for myself. The shoes and embroidered fabric video tutorials are already available for my Patrons. Not everything reach RUclips at the end. ☺️

    Nice video. :) Latvian shares the same word for head - galva. Will be watching for more linguistic eastereggs. ;) Čau no Latvijas.

    I’ve watched this several times, but I can’t find a single video that shows how to embed the wires into the hands n feet- porcelain, I have a basic idea, but would be nice to see it

      I have videos about this on my Patreon. But basically you drill the hole when the porcelain is still raw and perfect it after the bisque firing if needed. Then after the final firing and painting, you insert the metal bars through the holes and secure them with some super-glue. I also do some polishing after the glue dries. ☺️

    Hello Adele what about lessons to create the porcelain doll and did you use vacum chamber?

    • @Nymphaidolls
      @Nymphaidolls  9 месяцев назад +1

      I'm still working on a course about porcelain. But I will share on all my social media the minute it will launch! I don't use a vacuum chamber, it's more needed for resin dolls.

    Hi! I just discover ypu channel! You work is so beautiful and I am so happy that you have a master class!!! I always want to make a BJD doll! ,and I have a question ,for doing the master doll class , do I have to make the mold class?

    • @Nymphaidolls
      @Nymphaidolls  4 месяца назад +2

      If you want to later cast your dolls in porcelain or air-dry casting slip - then yes. If you only want to sculpt one doll and be done with it, then you don’t need the mold class ☺️

    Where did you get your kiln? I want to start making dolls but i have no kiln and very little money 😅 how did you start?

    • @Nymphaidolls
      @Nymphaidolls  2 месяца назад +2

      It’s linked in the description. The kiln was shipped to me from Germany, so this only works if you’re from around here. I saved up for it, and it took me a year. It’s a small 20l kiln, but it’s still quite expensive. I recommend to sign up for some porcelain or ceramics classes around your area to learn how firings work, and maybe fire your pieces there before purchasing the kiln.

    Can you use an oven for it?

    • @Nymphaidolls
      @Nymphaidolls  9 дней назад

      Nope, the temperature has to reach more than 1200°C (2192°F)
