I am an Oppo Enco Buds 2 user and am planning to buy my first IEM. I mostly listen to EDM and songs by Anirudh. I'm looking for something with good clarity, vocals, and bass that is not overpowering. I was considering the Tanzu Waner SG, but I heard it lacks bass. I've also been thinking about Zero 2. Could you suggest an IEM under ₹2500 that is enjoyable and lively? Thanks!
If you want bass but not overpowering I'd say you can go for Zero: 2 I have a Tangzu Waner and love it, but it's neutral sounding and the bass is subtle.
Tangzu sounds pleasant like blon BL03 but will not have the clarity that salnotes zero and chu 2 has. You can compare different graphs and decide between these two according to your preference.
Blon has slightly warmer mids and more bass in comparison to Wan'er. If you prefer BL03 tonality, Zero 2 is a better tuned and sounding IEM. Plus BL03 QC is bad.
What if you try KIWI Cadenza. Or Kinera Abyss Because I'm from the Blon 03 sound tonality too... It would be easier if I really got to try IEMs before Buying. Because frequency graphs are very brief ... It's the soundstage and how frequencies sit in it that changes the game...
The battle of graphs and adjectives! :P Lovely review. I have been extensively researching these options and was leaning towards the BLON BL03s. I am NOT a bass head but I do feel good accurate and tight bass is the soul of music, and acts as a filler to the whole soundstage. I am extremely sensitive to Sibilance - or shouting ... I Love lush tonality/timbre .. Musicality if you will. And an airy top end rounds off my wish list. Everywhere I see people seem to be singing peans to the tuning, musicality and tonality of the BL03s.. From past experiments I realise that I don't exactly like a Flat Analytical sound - esp for enjoying music for extended periods. I will be using these for over 10 hours a day... Due to the lack of any avenue to audition them I am genuinely confused. Will be grateful for any inputs you can give.
Nicely put preference. My suggestion would be good with QKZ x HBB for a bit relaxed signature like Blon. Blon has very bad QC Otherwise Truthear Gate if you want to feel accurate timbre and tone.

Also, I want to experience instrument separation and cleaner sound output. I am new to this, so I am not sure which one would be suitable to my needs. My phone (S23 base variant) doesn't have a 3.5mm jack, so I am looking for a type-c IEM only. There are type-C variants of Tangzu Waner and Moondrop Chu 2 DSP at the Headphone Zone website. @@bhagwatusture1938 Chu 2 is metal build, since you do not like heavy IEMs. Not for you Wan'er is vocal forward so again not for you since you want to focus on instruments clarity. Gate is the best option, and it has one of the best cable as well, you mentioned you want good cable.

Go with Red. Chu II DSP is tuned very similar to Red, so it's a perfect upgrade over Chu II DSP. So you will feel instant resolution upgrade with similar sound signature you like.
The zero 2 bass is really good i use it daily for listening music like jazz and edm, the tuning for zero 2 is fun and safe so a lot of people will like it.

What is qdc connector 🤔 I only heard about mmcx and 2 pin.. how is this different from 2 pin connector 🤔. I think this might be a good topic to discuss
QDC is like 2 pin only, however reversed polarity. It's a C Pin design, pins are not hanging out, and fits like jigsaw in layman term. KZ and CCA are famous to use QDC connector. However a good idea, I will try to make a video or short to explain this. I'm no audiophile but I like music, I listen to everykind of music be it old Bollywood, new Bollywood , Rap , Ghazals, Bhajans, music be it from 60s , 70s , 80s , 90s , be it Kishore Kumar or Tom Jones , be it Satyam Shivam Sundaram or Slim shady. @@Moon-tj8kp No, Keep listening to your Wan’er for 6 7 days and then go back to CX80, you will perceive the difference. It’s called Brain Burn In, you mind get used to the sound. Burn in is a myth, IEMs sound good out of the box. Lastly, CX80s are already very good earbuds.

For some it gets a bit fatiguing, however, it's really difficult to cater everyone because of subjectiveness. Though Wan'er is not that fatiguing. As compared to simgots or some KZs

Go for Wan'er best for Vocals and Mids in this list. If you want slight Bass to enjoy Bollywood beats go for Chu II Avoid Blon and KZ, Blon especially (QC is not good)

Go with CHU II DSP it has mic, and it's a better version of Chu II if you want gaming and movies. Very good uppermids and overall tuning in them. It's available on the audio store
I have a 7Hz Zero first version, I wanted to upgrade but I don't know if I should buy the Zero 2, Wan'er or Truthear Gate. I like listening to electronic music, pop, and sometimes alternative rock with modern metal influences and epic soundtrack. That combines emotional vocals and intense instrumentation. And sometimes I listen to vaporwave, dreamwave and drumstep too...
I think al the option you said are sidegrade, 7Hz zero is already a top IEM in budget. My suggestion go with EQ, build 2 3 EQ depending on the taste and save for $50 IEM

For best bass under 2k, CCA CRA and QKZ x HBB If you are coming from Z2, you are accustomed to that bass, so with above you will feel good beats with clean signature overall. However, if you are looking for something almost similar to Z2, go for 7Hz Zero 2

Go with 7hz Zero 2. With you preference you need some good bass with good tonality. There's no ultra sound stage in this budget, average at best. That's with gate and Wan'er SE but at the cost of Bass. For your preference Gate might cut it, but 7hz Zero 2 is a better choice

Yes at that time I started comparisons. In latest Truthear Gate video and Fiio JD1 etc I compared all the budget segment you can check it out. Tanchjim Zero I have not reviewed on the channel yet, buts it's amazing if you like mid bass focused tuning
Yeah if you want a multi purpose earbuds, but for that we have Chu 2 DSP. In audiophile hobby people mostly care about sound quality so companies do not focus on mics. However it’s changing slowly with Truthear gate and 7Hz zero 2

I only heard about mmcx and 2 pin.. how is this different from 2 pin connector 🤔. I think this might be a good topic to discuss
QDC is like 2 pin only, however reversed polarity. It's a C Pin design, pins are not hanging out, and fits like jigsaw in layman term.
KZ and CCA are famous to use QDC connector.
However a good idea, I will try to make a video or short to explain this.

It is good for that, however soundstage is a bit narrow.

It’s called Brain Burn In, you mind get used to the sound.
Burn in is a myth, IEMs sound good out of the box.
Lastly, CX80s are already very good earbuds.

Yes it is good enough for gaming, since you want to upgrade later, imaging is good on these and they sound neutral.

I have a 7Hz Zero first version, I wanted to upgrade but I don't know if I should buy the Zero 2, Wan'er or Truthear Gate.
I like listening to electronic music, pop, and sometimes alternative rock with modern metal influences and epic soundtrack. That combines emotional vocals and intense instrumentation.
And sometimes I listen to vaporwave, dreamwave and drumstep too...
I think al the option you said are sidegrade, 7Hz zero is already a top IEM in budget. My suggestion go with EQ, build 2 3 EQ depending on the taste and save for $50 IEM

If you are coming from Z2, you are accustomed to that bass, so with above you will feel good beats with clean signature overall.

There's no ultra sound stage in this budget, average at best. That's with gate and Wan'er SE but at the cost of Bass. For your preference Gate might cut it, but 7hz Zero 2 is a better choice
