He eventually walked off telling us maybe next time. Saw him during the championship tour too and it was fly so yea he needs to be more confident on stage even if the crowd ain't with him. Q shouldn't feel that way about the acceptance of the Blank Face LP. Hands down his best work. People were expecting the continuation from Oxymoron. Easily embraced by true ScHoolboy Q fans as a true classic album. Just overlooked like Illmatic and Reasonable Doubt were when both albums were released.

On me the album brings memories when I first heard it when it came out.
I remember being one of the only ppl that bought both albums when they came out especially b/c west coast ppl didn't want to support the east coast (due to that stupid tupac/bad boy beef). Anybody who doesn't think illmatic was overlooked is a liar or wasn't actually buying hip hop in the 90s, lol it sold lousy and got no radio play. It was only appreciated over time by most ppl despite being an instant classic.

I'm late but I wanna say this was the realest interview I've seen of Q. Straight up. Respect. And I got emotional too when he spoke on death of friends and then his mom. My mom was, is, the world the me.
Everything she did was for me to be better off. She couldn't go to school in the US to learn English. No time. Work all the time. Raised myself then had to look out for my lil bro.
Until we fought so much, she sent him (he was too angry) to Colombia to be with my grandparents for a bit. My mom would work nights and pick me up late to go home from a friend's house or something.
I remember us missing a bus and having to sleep on a bench for a few hours until the morning. I felt the struggle to some degree. She tried her hardest to hide it and keep it going. She used to say. There's no time to be sick. You gotta get up and shake it off. Shower, eat, whatever but get going. The day ant waiting for you.
She was tough enough but I could tell she really wanted the best for us. I miss her man. Best person in my life which I'll always remember. May she finally rest. She suffered enough until the end. She deserved a better life. Too many stories.
Fuck cancer. Ruined her final months on this planet. And fuck my dad. Bitch never was there. I knew him too. Tried to connect with him. He never changed. A lying ass bitch. Talking his way into everything. Borrowing money. Getting $10, spending $20. Somehow. Walking scam. He died after he hit head on the floor being too drunk going home. Security in that apartment building didn't do shit either. They were used to him being a drunk. What a waste of space. He ruined people's lives all his life. 15+ half brothers and sisters.
