When I see Madonna live and she sings Like A Virgin on every tour since Truth or Dare came out, I akways always think about Donna and Nikki on the bus making fun of madonna singing LAV when she's old. It always makes me chuckle.😅
FANTASTIC interview. Niki and Donna are forever part of pop culture history for so many of us and this interview was just great. I agree with Niki that the arrangements on the Girlie Show tour were the best of any of Madonna's tours. I also agree with Donna that 'Truth or Dare' would not be anywhere near as impactful if it were done today, with pop stars being so overexposed through social media. 'Truth of Dare' was really the first of its kind and, as with everything Madonna did back then, it was ahead of its time.
I’m glad they mentioned about the phones at concerts. I saw Madonna Celebration tour in Amsterdam last year and the amount of times people in front of me blocked my view filming it was too many times to count. Ban phones from concerts so that people are forced to be present.
I was at Who's That Girl and Blonde Ambition in Dallas (both stadiums are gone now), so it's really great to see you two lovely women in this interview!!!
I was first introduced to Donna & Niki when they preformed Express Yourself with Madonna at the '89 (?) MTV awards. One of my favorite performances of her career and Niki and Donna's too. Very raw and striped down and a early preview of what was to come. These women are an absolute part of my love for Madonna. I expected to see them together. -i would love to hear any memories they had of that performance. It was my first introduction to the ladies. -Also, I'd love to hear their thoughts on the documentary "Strike A Pose" about all the guys from Truth Or Dare. (It was exceptional.)
Love these two women so much. I just hope that Nikki becomes a little more self-aware about how she has the slight tendency to talk over Donna. This happens in their other podcast guestings as well. I love how animated and excited she gets though when she tells stories. Again, no hate - love them both!

I am shocked and devastated to see that everyone I have talked to or listen to after the Celebration tour doesn’t see the harsch statement Mafonna makes about Social Media on the show! She is literally filmed live with hand held cameras while she performs and the footage is used as part of the performance on the digital screens! All of that while we filmed the way she was filmed while she performed and later sharwd what we have filmed! This is a very complex concept both technically and contentwise! Such a huge statement on social media. She is so clever to use that as a positive and negative at the same time! Very layered. Nobody talks about that!

Girlie is an EXPERIENCE.. but she needed a few more hits on it. But it's her best tour. BA is the ultimate M tour, but Girlie is special. It's for the real fans, those who stuck with her during the Erotica years.
GS is iconic with the "real" fans. The fans that still loved her during Sex and Erotica. Perfect tour.. but I still think Burning Up could have been done after Fever (before Vogue).. Where's the Party during the disco portion...Spotlight would have been very cool on this tour, too.
For me Madonna is a part with Nicky and Donna, without them, it's not the same! The best Madonna's album is Like a Prayer, the best show is Blonde Ambition Tour and the unforgettable In Bed with Madonna. She was the best 90’s, after that, unfortunately not for me. THANKS GIRLS, to give us the best of you to keep as long as we can very good memories of amazing shows.

The WTG tour was incredible and they worked hard but for the BAT, they truly had to work HARD. Madonna had to rely on them for a LOT; the changing sets, the wardrobe changes and the Broadway-like production.
