Casino Craps Sharpshooter Strategy

- Casino Craps Sharpshooter Strategy is part of the dice advice series. With this craps strategy you start with a pass line bet and add 2x odds no matter what point becomes. Next you make a 22 inside place bet, and cover the 4 and 10 with a $5 hard way bet. With the place bets, on a win you will alternate between collecting and pressing. After the bets have been pressed to $25/$30 then you will collect from that point on. On the first hardway hit, you will press both to $10. If it hits again you will press to $25 each. Thank you to Mike Bast for submitting this casino craps strategy.

Went last night and rolled 36 times before hit a 7 some guy at the other end of the table put a 25$ but on hard 8 for me and it hit and he gave me the money Bc I was rolling so good I made him 3000$ off me rolling it was the best night ever.
Then I seen him later in the night and he gave me a 100$ bill and said u made me a ton of money that’s the least I can do
That’s awesome!
I was on the dice at Pechanga in Ca , Now I'm a firm believer of taking care of the shooter , That being said I had the dice for at least 50 min ( minus 15 min for payouts and chip exchanges ) But this was the greatest roll I have ever witnessed and it was Me on the dice. Now , at about 25min into my rolls I seen Nobody was showing me love So there was sum idiot on my left acting like an idiot asking dumb questions that we answered 2 and 3xs already , when I seen Nobody wanted to show me love I told the Whole table " You All better start showing me sum Damn love on sum bets or I'll pass the dice to this fool on my left !!! " Then the table started putting hardway bets , Field bets , and C&E bets down for me !!!
But I believe in taking care of a good Roller !!!
with that 3k win he could have played the pass dont pass stragety and keep winning.
My casino only has crapless craps, but I love to play it. The guy next to me was shooting and hit the 12 on the come out, with my $20 horn, I pressed it up $20, had $100 in odds on my pass line when he hit it again right back. I pressed my horn one more time and he hit the 2. In those 3 rolls I made over $1k. I just handed him $100 after my horn hit 3 times in a row
I sent you this same strategy but with a field bet not greater than place bet. You would have gotten paid on the 11,12,3, soft 4 that you hit. Good job!
Damn good strategy. I play a variance of this with all the hard ways working all the time - depending on the casino. I just like hard way bets and will typically put my $4 up there to cover them.
The main difference for me though is I press then collect. Im more aggressive to build it up then rack up the winnings. Downside to this is if it’s a quick 7. Then I never made money off my bets even if a number was hit.
I just got off a NCL cruise and turned $360 into $2000. $10 min. Pass line, max 3,4,5 odds. If either the 5 or 9 hit - press both once then collect. If the 6 or 8 hit - press both the collect.
After I started winning I brought down the hard ways and bet all across. $10 on the 4 and 10. Once one of those hit I’d buy only the one that hit.
NICE! I do the same with pressing first then collecting. Play the 6/8-Field (always 1-2 units lower than 6/8), press both up first hit and then collect, press, collect. The ups and downs are a little more drastic, but I like that. You just try to time your play out to walk away on one of the ups! Congrats on taking NCL for a little cash. Winning while on a cruise is a WIN-WIN. My bride and I usually cruise RCCL.
I agree with fixing your mistakes , it helps keep the strategy outcomes consistent and we are assuming a no mistake strategy
Releks Drood glad you approve. My videos being mistake free is unlikely though haha
@@ColorUp I think you would never forget the odds if you weren't the dealer also. The roll is so fast that you are bound to make some mistakes like that.
It’s not easy playing both sides of the table :)
100 Likes! YAY! Color up.... Thank you for all your Vids, man. Love all the new or revisited ideas (for some) and showing how they work. Love them all, man. Thank you for what you do!!!!
I really like the way you talk to yourself like a real casino ….looooool …. love your videos ...thank you
Why place the point when playing pass line? Just curious
Agreed, it's definitely sub-optimal if your odds aren't already maxed out
i just started playing craps and im loving it, love the videos and tips, hope to see more !!!!!! big help !
I love Fremont. I got the sharpshooter Jr. also on our last trip. It was really a lot of fun. I think if you roll 40 rolls you get a brown jacket and 60 rolls you get a black jacket between 25-34 rolls you get a cap. I got the cap and never could get past 30 rolls but I did do very well that weekend.
Yeah, its a fun promotion
I did this Same strategy today and won $1,000 but after each hit with the dollars i used for a $4.00 horn so i had everything covered. When i had every place bet over $50 i started hooping the reds for $12-15 all the way up $24 so i literally won on every number hit. Buy in was$300
nice score
Keep up the great videos man! This is a fun, high action strategy only risking about $40 a shooter with the potential to be on the table when it heats up (which is really the goal of most craps players). Appreciate the work and keep em coming
Should also go $10 on 4 and 10. This covers you for yr. hardways. You win either way.
I was in Biloxi,MS at Beau Rivage the other night.. i bought in with $250 and walked off the table with $2350.. this guy rolled for good hour..the payout on the table was massive..it was unbelievable
sounds like an awesome night, im still waiting to see that night for myself
My very first time playing craps I rolled for an hour. When my turn started I had 20 dollars left, by the time I left the table I had 2000. Wish I knew there was a sharp shooter reward lol. It was at a relatively small casino near Seattle and the pit boss looked pissed and wanted me to keep rolling but such a cool experience. I had no idea what was going on but I know everyone loved me for that hour 😂
That was a good strategy and good roll! Thanks Mike!
I just learned how to play craps in Lake Tahoe, your videos are better preparing me for my next time up there!
Thank you for the videos sir.
Glad to help!
Cool strategy! Thanks for running it through the course (:
This strategy looked great. Only problem if you hit a couple bad 7 and outs, that 60 dollar loss every time will go fast.
true, but hopefully on the other rolls you do better. This video had a few PSO, and still came out ahead...
@@ColorUp true. I'd probably start with 500 instead of the 200 for this strategy. I've been going more conservative lately with a place bet on the 8 and come bets..then take and place/press. Great for random rollers.
raymond nichols yeah, outlay is over $40 per shooter and I like to have 10x that amount as well
If he starts a second channel, he should call it " dice off the table ".
I’ll reserve it now
This is a fun strategy. Going to have to try it.
LOL at the "ASS LINE" at 3:22
I dont know about you guys but I absolutely love this strategy!
He forgot to mention that you need to start with a yard drink at La Bayou
And no credit for your mentor?? Come on!
My mentor Chad Whitney! Nobody can hit a hard 10 like this guy! We're not worthy, we're not worthy!
Yeah, come on Mike, how come you didn't mention to me that you had a mentor hahah :)
I use this strategy the most. When your a set shooter it's going to work way better than the free hand roll. That's where the videos go kinda off, and maybe that's for good reasonings as well. When your hot...collect and buy the 4 & 10 and try to get past 6 rolls to recoup the money. And try to keep something on the hardways after that because you'll profit either way.
I show the strategies with random rolls...If you can control the dice your results will be that much better :)
This is one I might try on our next cruise. As they usually pay double odds on a $5 table.
perfect. let us know how it goes and good luck!
Why would you place the point when you could just put more in odds?
I'm guessing it's because a lot of tables are 3x 4x 5x odds. More room to grow when you press the place bets. Just a thought.
Love the vids
Great Video and Strategy, like the hardway bets
Think I'll try next time I play but once that hard 4 hit I would buy 4 and 10 to improve odds
When the puck is on an inside number why would you place that number instead of just adding more odds. When you hit the point you could just transfer your odds bet to a place bet
Are you supposed to be placing the point? Not sure if I heard, or not? I'd rather keep the same investment, but let the odds on my point earn more, and double up on the opposite if the point is inside. You still always have $22 in. You just recoup more on that first collect on the 2 unit place bet. As always, great video! I'm headed to the casino tomorrow.
Loren chrisman. Never place the point when you have a pass line bet. Put the money as odds instead bc it pays true odds.
FYI, Mike doesn't place the point either.
@@chadwhitney1831 he did in this video
@@chYnaRIP Correct. I'm just saying in real life he doesn't place the point and he replaces a soft 4 or 10 with a $5 bet. just items that weren't clear in his submitted strategy.
Love the strategy. But if you already have an inside number on the point. I would use that to 5 to cover either the 4 or 10 to cover an easy way loss or double the six or 8 to start with 2 units
Thats a good variation, thanks
Literally my setup every time
When you forgot to place the odds you mentioned tipping the dealer. I normally throw $4 down and play all the hard ways for the dealers. I usually keep that replenished as well when an easy way rolls around. It gives them something to root for besides just watching/paying and pulling the dice around for everyone else. There have been times playing the iron cross strategy when I forgot my field bet and they paid me anyhow. Tipping is always good.
Yep, tipping is always good
Don't get why you place your point. Why not just add your place bet to the odds? You can still keep track of how many times youve hit.
depends on how many odds are allowed at the table.
I like this strategy...if I didn't play dont's, I'd probably do this.
Yep "seven out" are my favorite words to hear. It's funny to see all this people losing money on the pass line with all the PSOs and I'm over here just keep collecting lol!
@Tyler Durden yeah getting through the come-out can be rough for us. All those damn 7s and yos! But once we're through, I feel pretty good. If someone hits their point how many more times do you go back on the dont's? For example after two points I lay off and wait for next shooter. Now my husband refuses to play the dont's, hes a pass line, 6 & 8 kind of guy, so when the table is ice cold he's out fast and leaves! I'm like honey switch to the dont's! But he's like it's like kissing your sister so he refuses lol! Anyway at least one of us will leave with money! Now someone like you is always welcome at my table if you really do cool down the table! :)
@Tyler Durden yeah I watch how others shoot too but once the dice hit the back wall it's all random. I've seen just as many PSOs from dice setters as I do from people that think they're playing yahtzee. The most points I've seen hit was 11. Of course I quit playing the donts because that would have taken all my money and then some! But thing to remember everyone's roll always ends in a 7.
I like it but as usual I would have to play this a bunch of times on a play table like yours to really get comfortable with it
Use a craps game app. It’s a random dice roll generator and you can try your systems. You don’t need a table.
He didn't explain why he didn't come down on the eight place bet when he came out on the 8 for the pass line.
Could you do this one again ? To see if there is a major difference in the outcome please.
Maybe, but it won't be for a long time, Ive got too many others to do.
In my experience hard ways are 1 roll bets, they don't just sit there wiating for a 10 to arrive before being gathered. Maybe different rules for different tables
Nope, that is standard. Hardways stay up until a 7 or the easy version of number is rolled. You can hop the hard 10 and that is a one roll bet
Pass line and odds only with 4 & 10, dice set all day, 1 axis throw aiming for the exact spot to right before the wall of table starts and hit wall with dice as straight as possible not sideways
Ok, thanks
Love your channel and your helpful strategies. For this one, I don't see any reason to "double cover" the point. With double odds you have more bet than any other number already. You also can always bump up the odds which is a better bet anyhow. Just my thoughts.
True, odds pays better and better to put the money there, but couldn’t bump up if only 2x odds table
I wish uk had craps tables 😪
Thanks !
Thanks for watching
I don’t typically bet hard ways because of the high house edge. However; in thinking about strategy, it seems if I were to play hard ways at all, I’d want the place bet there also to replace the hard ways from place bet winnings if the number came easy. If you had $5 on the 4 and 10, each easy 4/10 would replace the $5 hardways and still net $4 profit. If you hit a hardways 4/10, you can press as you’ve indicated and do the collect/press on the place bet. A local regular plays his 6/8 like this and man he’s made some nice scores having an escalating 6/8 place bet covering a pressed 6/8 hardways at 9 to 1!
If the numbers hit, it works out OK, if the seven hits you are losing twice the money. Just have to decide if the risk/reward is worth it to you.
@@ColorUp It's not exactly twice the money - I generally place these bets anyway, so I'm risking the $1 or $5 to start a press on the hardways. If 4/10 are placed for $10 and the HW starts at $1, if I hit an easy 4/10, I get paid $18 and I replace $1. If a hard 4/10 hits, you're paid $18 and $7 and you can press to $5. Hit again, press to $10 and keep doubling on presses. 2nd hit on 4/10 I'm going to $25 and buy it so any easy 4/10 is paid $50 to replace $1 or $5 or $10 at that point on the hardways. It more than covers it for not nearly double the loss. Keep up the great videos.
00:46 how exactly do comps work on craps? Per roll? Per shoot?
It’s not exact or accurate. Your average theoretical loss calculated by using your average bet size and type.
What happens if the hard bets lose when it is 10 dollars or 25? Do I replace it for 10 or 25 or start over from 5 dollars?
Why would you place the 8 point when you could put $5 behind your Pass Line bet?
I always wondered if you're able to bet on the. Point #.
Yep, sure can
I've been watching your videos for about a month now and this seems to be the simplest way to play and win at least a bit. Do you recommend this strategy for a newbie at the craps game. I'm wanting to try new games and craps got me interested now I've learned a few things. I'm just tired of playing other tables games over and over ready for something more fun
Solid strategy, but may be a little complicated to a newbie, especially when you are at a full table. As a new player, maybe just do the line bet with odds, or maybe the $22 on the inside numbers. Once you are comfortable, and if you can afford, add the other bets as you like. Stay away from middle of table bets when starting would be my suggestion.
Shared this on the Facebooks
Michael Bast cool, I hope it does well, it’s interesting that it turned out well even with some point seven outs. Those hardways saved the day I think.
Thats a big bump on those hard ways 1/4 of bank roll worth id maybe just bump it to 15
This strategy will work as long as the shooter is rolling numbers. You might consider placing the 4 & 10 and buying each instead of the hardway bets. But not bad. Thanks.
Why would you place 8 if the point is already on 8? Just put more on odds!
I thought the same thing. At my local casino, I'm not sure if there is an actual rule preventing a place and a pass line bet on the point number; however, they discourage it by asking to move your point-place bet to another number.
If I did the math right for a 1U place and a 2x odds Pass line on the 8 you would get paid $24 while a 3x odds Pass line would pay $23, however on 5,9 I agree with your strategy of pulling down the place bet for an increase in odds.
I expected this to be a strategy for winning on the Sharpshooter side bet, I think they still have it in Reno.
Ha, a few places have the sharpshooter...I should do a video on it before it’s gone
Looks like a fun strategy. Of course we can all win with a hot roll! Did I see right that the Fairmont compted him only $1 for his 35 rolls?
It's like they gave me a $1 tip after walking out with a $1000 of their money. Lol
For that first shooter, you were just missing the 6 to hit the ALL that pays 175 to 1. Maybe you can talk about the SHARPSHOOTER bet in one of the next videos.
Did I really roll all the numbers,? I had no clue
All but the 6! I was keeping track
Color Up yes...you hit the All Tall...Where I play that’s 30-1...$750 on a $25 bet...nice
Lol it pays 35 to 1 here Ha!
Twinsen764 headed your way soon then!!! Lol!!!
Does sharpshooting imply dice control? How is different than good old luck and probability ?
does not imply dice control here, just luck
I like it i am a hit and run poker player too theys ssy u shouldnt do that in pokerbut it has work for me for over twenty if your there for mny then when u win u need to take it my opinion
Let's make some money!!
Lets Color Up!
dude … the guy is playing with himself there is no money to be made here … love your comment ….thanks
Not here, but take what you learn and hopefully with some luck....:)
Why place bet when a number is the point.
Maybe table only allows 2x odds and you want to get more money down on the number...
I'm new to your channel but what do you think of dice setting?
I don't bother with it, but I always say it doesn't hurt to try.
What happens if ur 25$ hard way loses, do u put another 25$ or start over at 5$?
Funk Master I don’t know what Mike would say, but I would start over at $5...good question
Start over with $5
Late comment to the video, I see you’re wearing a Colorado hat, do you ever play in state? I live in Denver.
Another easy 100 dollar profit for a few minutes work. if only every time lol
When i play at the casino when the on is at the number they always ask where do i want to move it and i see you dont move them ? Why?
They ask because most players have that number bet already, because most players make a bet on the pass line. You do not have to move the place bet, especially if you don't have a pass line bet. If you do have a pass line bet, it is best to move the place bet, or have it returned to you and use as an extra odds bet which would pay better than the place bet.
Every time I try to make a Place bet on the point, the dealer always tells me you've done that with the odds behind your Pass Line bet. Have I been told wrong this whole time?
Inside the Casino no that’s kinda true and they are trying to be helpful. It will pay better in odds than a place bet. What if you are on a table that only allows double odds and you want to bet more on the number? this is just one scenario you would also place bet the number.
This is basically what I was doing after I first learned to play. Though I added a field bet, problem was I couldn't get any good shooters, a lot of quick point seven outs and not being able to make back enough to cover everything I had out there so I'd lose 60 bucks at a time and with a $300 bankroll I'd lose it all in five bad shooters.
sounds like the game of craps :)
This is a Humongous Event....Ask Sheldon Cooper if he watched it....
in my experience with craps, buying those middle hard way bets, if the roll doesn't hit my money is gone, and in this video they stay on. Im kinda confused on that part.
If you lose they are removed, but if you catch the dealer and give money to replace/replenish they will stay up
How many more strats are you back logged?
I have about 180 in my inbox :)
Hey #Color Up I have a Question for you: out of all the different strategies you’ve posted if you play on a crapless table can that vastly change the way you play the strategy? Are the odds better, worst or indifferent?
strategies that play pass line or come bets are the most different because you can end up with point numbers of 2,3,11,12. Overall the house edge on the pass line is over 5% (normal is 1.4%), and if you place bet those extreme outside numbers its over 7%. If you plan on place betting the inside numbers the game is basically the same.
Color Up Is it safe for the come out roll since you can’t crap out? You still get the advantage of the 7 and 11 correct?
@@georgepopa12 Yes, you cannot roll a craps on the come out so you will always establish a point or win with a come out 7. The 11 is no longer a winner, and can become a point like all the other numbers though, so you lose that advantage.
Did you say jade-c for the 7 right after the puck was established? Around the 11:00 min mark
I don't know

I would love to see some of these betting strategies using “dice set” throws I’ve been watching on other vids
I’m not a dice controller, so I try to show how strategies work with random results. If you can roll better than random than the strats will work that much better:)
Can anyone recommend a LEGIT and HONEST online craps site? or are they all a scam?
I would check wizardofodds.com he does have a list of which ones to definitely stay away from.
I have strategy(es) to make a million dollars, if i could only find rollers that can at least roll 6 times consistently without crapping out. Learn how to roll. That is your best bet. If you can roll 5 to six times consistently without crapping out, you have a good system going.
Mathematically the avg. roll should be 8.5, the seven appears once every six times and also factoring in comeout winners. Tip...you seven out, not crap out, if you throw a crap number you continue to roll.
Every table I've ever played on makes you move your place bet off the point why is that?
also , why wouldnt you just bet more on your pass line odds bet if casin is giving more than 2 to 1?
you are not required to move place bet off the point, but its a good suggestion most dealers make if you had a pass line bet, the money pays more by playing the money in odds at that point.
If you are maxed on odds on say a 2x table, you may want to also keep a place bet on the point number to have more money bet on it
@@ColorUp thank you for clearing that up I never questioned it until I watched your videos I just assumed you couldnt place the point and would just move it usually to the 6 8 or 9 and bump my odds on the pass line
@@ColorUp thank you for the advice I live in AZ and Craps tables arent allowed at casinos here so i only get the rare occasion to play when in Laughlin Nevada
Watched 5+ your vids. On new shooter picks dice> it sure looks like you pick the same dice you supposedly discarded
I don't understand? Do you mean when I dump the bowl and grab dice? Am i picking the same dice? It may happen sometimes, but not on purpose, i don't really care what dice i use.
If the point is a 4 or a 10, would you simply adjust your hard way bets?
Yeah, he is trying to cover all the box numbers so if the point is 4 or 10 you wouldn't need a hard way bet on that number.
I wish for God's sake you'd break down and get a rubber diamond backboard for that flat wall you are bouncing the dice off of. Maybe it's just me, but I just don't see how you can say these rolls approximate real dice table variance? You must know by now that your hand shake is being subliminally influenced (at times). Those dice bounce very little, often. There is no comparison of a flat wall with a diamond back surface, as much as I hate to tell you that. I can see how easy it would be to get a long roll out of your delivery, it's much too methodical. As far as this strategy goes...I stopped at 3:27( partially for those reasons) I'll check it out later.
dontswin are you saying I’m controlling the dice and the results aren't random? Interesting. Also would love a donation from you to buy some alligator back :)
Color Up yet ANOTHER reason you are such a leader on RUclips. You are always so diplomatic. I’d be telling people exactly what I thought when replying to their comments. You’re a class act, and a great host/teacher/craps enthusiast. This is another great video. Love how you were able to speed up the action (even though your flat wall is nowhere near what a REAL casino is like...) On your hard way bets you keep paying 7-1 but the table is clearly marked 8-1 odds. I nd get new to craps so maybe I am missing something or you shorted your self at least 50$
My layout says 8 FOR 1 You get 8 for the 1 and they keep the 1, so net result is 7. Some layouts will say 7 TO 1. You get 7 added to your 1, so net result is 7. They are both the same thing, but some layouts use "FOR" to sound like you get a better payoff. Its a little deceiving.
If I roll 35 times I’m walking with more than $1k. Obviously he didn’t press his winners.
You forgot to pay your hard 8 at 20:15
Not sure if you are kidding or just gave the wrong time code?
Doing something live with the chat would be fun and different …. You could check out google hangouts
I could just do it on RUclips...but note sure what to show, maybe nothing, just me sitting and talking
Yes exactly, that’s what I was thinking too. Everyone gets to meet, and interview you. lol.
@@ColorUp That would be cool ! Maybe some live rolling and live feed back. Or just BS'ing about a recent game, or strategy you used or someone in the group used. CrapChat LOL !
I thought the hard four and hard ten bets were single role bets, but you never took off the chips when they lost???? OK, I think I get it. You lose only on an EASY 4 and 10. Cool.
Yep, they stay up and lose on easy way or a 7
Betting on others is the fastest way to lose money in craps
Ive learned from others if you havent watched them take one score hit take em back down
you only bet on yourself?

Out of respect to those still in shock and mourning over the recent horrific mosque attacks in New Zealand, where 49 peaceful worshipers were gunned down, you might have considered picking a different name for this strategy other than sharpshooter. Or perhaps you could have delayed releasing this strategy for a few weeks.
Richard Bell it is very sad news. This is a casino craps channel and the language involved is in no way related. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and concern.
Maybe if you took just the title out of context, but otherwise this clearly states it's a craps betting strategy.
