- How to Win at Craps...Safe & Slow - Craps Betting Strategy
This is a very conservative, low risk, high action craps betting strategy that does give you the possibility to get rich with casino craps...slowly, very slowly and with a lot of luck!
With this craps betting strategy I call the 6/8 Come again, you start with a place 6 and 8, and follow it up with two come bets. The goal is to alway have 4 numbers working, and by playing the come bet, you are usually hedging your place bets slightly.

I think I've watched about 3 hours of dice rolling in the last few days since I found this channel. I love that the strategy is just presented and then played out. No edits. No bias. Thanks.
Josh Hafer that’s what I do, because that’s what I wanted to see on RUclips...thanks for watching and the great feedback
Yah Color Up is a badass :) his videos are chill and easy to watch. I know i have learned a lot.
I feel ya. My watch later has like 5 in a row at the moment. Cheering him on. Cursing at the dice when he gets some bad runs xD
Color Up Great job on the strategy, gambling is a real treat. It’s difficult but I will not take no for an answer.
Just got back from the casino. Tried this and walked away from the table up 115 and played for about an hour on a 15 dollar table. Thanks!
Hurray for anecdotal evidence!
I won about $300 great strategy
I really like that you presented this as a strategy for someone who is NOT the shooter. All other videos I have seen are telling you what to do when it is your turn to shoot, but I had trouble finding a strategy if it's not your turn.
One way to try out a lot of these strategies without getting sheared is to play some of the automated craps machines aka "bubble craps." You can do some more complicated stuff without a bunch of people interfering, and you can play for as low as .25 a roll on some of them.
That’s great info. I’m sure the strategy goes right out the window with the second whiskey but I will give it a try when we get back to normal.
I like this strategy. There was a mistake at 16:00 when you moved from the come to the 10. If you go back to 15:40, you paid off the 10, but did not have a come bet. I am going to try this strategy out some time. I like the thrill of the game, but some other strategies can bleed me dry too fast. Thanks
Just came to mobile RUclips to see if this was a mistake since I wasn't 100% sure. I can tell there's going to be hours spent watching videos and hopefully not money lost in my near future. Ha
I was at the casino last night and tried this. With just $60, this interesting strategy gave me almost 3 hours of play and still came out ahead a little ($20) in the end. I more than doubled it at one point. Definitely slow and mostly safe, while still allowing you to have fun when the dice coming your way. I was not bored at all, but it's not as exciting as winning an odds bet. I like this strategy a lot. Keep up the good. Always look forward to your next video and interesting craps strategies.
SpEaKeRbOy I’d say pretty good entertainment value for the money
This is what RUclips was invented for. I don't care about beefs between grifters or "X reacts to Y" stuff. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed
This video really helped me out in Vegas, went in with $35 and came out with $110. Great strategy!
Thats awesome...it won't always work out like that, all strategies lose eventually
It's great to keep the mindset of oh I'm up 90 or 100 and color up. If you can do that on 10 trips, you're up $1000! Of course every one loses at one point or another or the casino wouldn't be there
Once your 4 numbers are established, pull each new winning number's bet down & rack with the win. Big Red is knocking after four numbers go up
I think this strategy is one of my favorites! Allows for an entertaining game, while staying within a reasonable budget. I'm personally always searching for ways to grind out the night at a table game, without handing my money over to the house too quick, or at all. Thanks for sharing!
Some like to call it a "Free Drink" strategy...play all night on just a few bucks.
It’s Christmas 2018 & we’ve been at the Sam’s Town RV Park for a week. Watched this video this morning, used this strategy this evening, won $400. More than covered the cost of the RV park. Thanks!!
Thats awesome to hear! Won't always work, but glad it did this time. Merry Christmas!
Last year i tried out more then 20 strategy's that i find on youtube. Yesterday i did a session from 8 hours. This seems to be a very safe strategy. More then all others. It goes slowly and the winnings or not high. But still i wen from 500€ tot 650€ on a 5€ table. So... i had a lot of fun, free drinks and profit fom 150€. Thanks for this video.
But, now i play the same strategy with a little difference. I follow all the steps. But i don't stop with the come bets after i find a 4th number. I still continue with come bets. When you have 4 numbers coverd you have nothing protection without a come bet. So a new come bet protect you a little bit. The 5th number you find is coverd bij the new come bet, till you find the 6th number. Then you have 1 unit more at risk. But if you have 6 numbers coverd, and you get a long run from 40 or much more rolls you take much more money because all the numbers pay out. It's better to risk 1 more unit then 10 missing payouts from not coverd numbers. And it's not always sure that you risk 1 more unit. Because not always you reach 6 numbers. What you think color up ?
Just tried this out first time playing. It did decently well for me.
My friends and I spent 4 days in Vegas watching and rewatching this video. We left Vegas up over $1000 between the three of us. Thank you for the education! Great method, great video!
So awesome that ya'll did well, thanks for the feedback here
You should look up bonus craps had three friends put in about $200 all together and left 6k up
"Instead of coming through the come" got me im to high for this amount of come
Best comment
Good strategy. Only change I would make is when you hit the 6 or 8 place bet with a come bet. I would add single odds when the come bet replaces the place bet as the single odds was just payed for by your hit on the 6 or 8.
I make it thru school for 4 year free of debt with that strategy, the key is to set a goal and leave. Really good explanation, good video
i want to take time out of my day to say thank you so very much. i never gambled nor played craps. few friend were talking about it and decided to look up strategy. did exactly what you said every time. started with 200 endes with 500 for my first experience. all thanks to you. much love from the 757
Thats so awesome...it won't work every time like that but glad you had fun for your first time. and thanks so much for watching and telling your experience.
I used this strategy yesterday when I stopped at the casino....played for an hour and a half and came out 65 dollars ahead. Hedging with the Come bet definitely helps because sometimes the 7 comes immediately.
One thing I will say is that it's easy to lose track of where your bets are at with a busy table and a dealer who may not be as particular when organizing your bets on the table.
I just found this channel so thanks for the strategy!
I like this strategy. The good thing about it is that it uses the bets with the lowest house edge. The commentators who want to add c&e and hardways should be aware that those bets contribute far more to the casino's profit than just sticking to this strategy. Adding pass line and odds on your come bets would be a good idea if you can afford it, though.
Rasmus Terkelsen all great points, thanks
This seems nice. Looking for a none don't strategy. I think sticking to 4 rolls is great, no matter what take them down.
Also the money management it wonderful. If if you loss you had a nice time and didn't loss much. Think that's my biggest issue right now.
Played very similar tactic when I visited Vegas, managed to get all my bets paid for, and then a hot shooter allowed me to rack up 400 bucks before he 7 out. Great fun, low risk. Great vid mate.
Its awesome when it works out that way, thanks for watching.
I'm a craps novice and knew a little about how to play craps, but watching your videos gives me a fuller understanding of the game. Now just gotta get the nerve to actually play it!
It’s nervous for most at beginning, but once you jump in, it’s the best game.
I really like this strategy, but why not play the pass line from the start? Then when the puck is on you can place 6 and 8. You’ll have 2 or 3 points to start making money sooner.
The reason why you want to use come to get numbers is so that you can have a hedge when 7 comes up. The only reason he ever went on the pass line was so that he could have a hedge on his number come bets. That way if 7 came up again before a number was on then he wouldn't lose all of his money on the board. So if he were to start on pass line he would get to 4 numbers quicker and therefore not be able to have a hedge out on the board sooner and this would result in bigger losses.
pass line best bet at table
@@mattrall972 I don't agree. Starting out on the pass line gives the initial chance at a 7 or 11 to begin with and that will happen 8 out of 36 rolls and you will lose 4 out of 36 rolls for a net gain of 4 rolls to the good. If you don't win or lose on the come out, you then start out with a number and if it is neither a 6 or 8 you simple place the 6 and 8 followed by a come bet - this way if the come out point was not a 6 or 8 you have up to 3 numbers working by your second roll plus your come bet is still a hedge.
@@DivotsLawnCareKinsman You need to read some GOOD books not those that tell you that garbage.
@@RC6790 very fair assessment of the strategy.
Just for clarity's sake: In regards to the $5 odds placed on the 9, it's not so much that the dealer is giving you 7:5 instead of 3:2 as much as they're shorting you 50¢ because they don't have a way to pay it.
So, if you had $15 odds the true 3:2 is $22.50. You should get $22, which beats 7:5 ($21) by a dollar.
This one is a good way to just have fun and relax with a fair expectation. I like it.
Can always chase it up a little 🙂
I finally got the hang of it and won $400 from the original $30. I am playing the electronic Roll to Win game at the Casino. I would have won more but didn't realize the screen requires you to drag the chips off the table before you can cash out. And I was getting confused when the Come bets became contract bets on the 4-9.
nice Color Up!
Used this strategy over the summer to consistently make $300-$600 a day playing 1-2 hours a day 🤙
I can vouch it is still working to this day. I feel like I found a treasure chest. I make it more fun by allowing an extra 50 bones in the budget for $1 bets on snake eyes and 12 bar. I almost always hit it at least twice within 30 rolls. It really helps jump the profits. I start with $50 in the bubble machine and I always end with at least 400. It takes me a good 4 to 5 hours though. I'm still learning to not be greedy and to QUIT PRESSING.
I have the wife watching your videos now. She thinks this is a great strategy but also thinks the pass line should be played every time. Keep up the good work!
Michael Bast fair critique by the wife :) I can’t even get my wife to watch any of my videos! bahaha
Color Up hahahahaha
Color Up lol
Slight mistake on the betting at 15:45, I know it doesnt matter but it changed the winning slightly for the remaining rolls.
This is a good strategy for people who want to have a few drinks and have a good time.. not a lot of risk, but it feels like constant action.
I like it. Thanks for the video!
Chris Singleton thanks appreciate it, and time code helpful, but didn’t see mistake? What was it
Color Up you hit the ten as a point number, (right after boxcars) paid yourself right but put your chip back on ten instead of come. Changed the next couple of hits on the 8 which would have paid different but like I said, no big deal.. your video was great and explained well.
Chris Singleton wow even on second view I missed it...great catch and thanks for bringing to my attention!
I noticed that too but Chris beat me too it lol. I love this strategy. I plan to use it this week :)
Thanks, you both have a sharp eye. Good luck this week.
I like the strategy. It's too slow for me, but there isn't a bad bet anywhere. I would probably start with a pass line bet, just to take advantage of the 7 or 11 on the come out roll. On the come bet, the seven will cost you on your place bets and other come number if it was already established. By betting on the pass line, you can hit a seven and simply win the line bet and not lose anything. Of course, I'd like to add odds right away. but this also increases volatility, requiring a deeper bankroll. Maybe try the Power Craps Strategy and add an additional come number?
I watched the video, went to the casino tonight with a small bank roll and banked 3X's what I started out with. The system works as stated as long as you have a good shooter. I found it to be a great system. will give it another try deff.
And at a regular table, the first instance happens more often than not, especially with loading bases.
FlagDUDE08 thanks for watching and your feedback
interesting strategy. But there are a couple things that would bother me:
1) Not betting the pass line at every opportunity. You can easily hedge the pass line with a C&E bet (would only cost you two extra bucks for a chance to win $3, instead of even money)
2) Not playing any come odds. Yeah, I get the whole idea is keeping your risk to a minimum. But with a hot shooter, you could be leaving an awful lot of money out on the table by just sticking with the even money payouts. Also, if you are at a table long enough and the dice bias seems to be favoring either of the outside numbers, you'd be crazy to not bet any odds.
Interesting video though. I might do a few practice rounds at home myself.
Randall Bowman add pass and odds to it if you like, obviously great additional bets if your willing to risk more money, thanks for watching and your feedback
Wow! I 'practiced ' your strategy on a Craps app and it works! I averaged about a 100$ per shooter, many times if the 7 came early, i had already made my money back, or may have lost $5-$10 on a shooter. This easily replaced my favorite strategy! I made a few modifications on it, and I'm actually considering taking $150 to Atlantic City (if its still there) and test this out for real. If I do well, I will definitely donate a % to your channel . I'll comment to let you know how I do.
Asher yeah, I like this one...won’t always work....good luck on coloring up in AC!
THANKS. what i like about it is i will notice a cold table maybe $ 30 in ( in practice, i i will play a 2nd shooter or even 3rd shooter if i still have $20 after a shooter 7's out. The Come Out rolls is the key! I try to watch how many rolls 3 shooters will get before they 7 out before I play ...less than 5 rolls for all 3, i won't play that table (i believe in hot and cold tables). If they get more than 5, I do play, but after the 4th roll, remove every chip possible from the table and watch after every shooter. If the next 3 shooters 7 out before the 5th roll, its time to walk for 15 min...bankroll still intact.
I cover all four Hard numbers with 1$ each, and hedge the 'Come and Pass Line bets' with a $1 'Any Craps' , when if I cant afford to lose the last Come or Pass. It wins $2 instead of losing $5. (If I have less than $30 but more than $20 from the last shooter) I also play the first Pass Line. i will some place odds on every Pass and Come out. and add one additional Come Out. that's usually a few more wins per roll with minimum risk. If I may, those are my modifications to your system. What do you think?
Asher fine modifications if you like them, sounds like it’s working for you, and your paying attention to the game
There is so many variables to using this method or strategy or what you will call it. You sure did hit a lot of points in this video with your rolls. A pass line bet wouldn't have been a bad idea on the come out roll if you had like 15$ up in come bets like you did. If you dont do it that way you risk loosing it all to a 7.... then again it could be point and done lol so loose more right?
My biggest rule is if you play craps, have at least 100x you average bet as your bank roll. You can survive some of those cold streaks. When it heats back up you won't be out of money;)
Yep, you just never know until after the dice roll, having a bigger bankroll to withstand ups and downs is great advice.
There is one major flaw with strategy… the start of the game should not wait for a point, instead bet the pass line. There is too big an advantage on the come out roll to pass up. Lots of 7s and 11s would be missed. One of the real advantages of this strategy is all of opportunities to hit naturals coming out, both on the pass line and on the come.
Spot on mate. Instead of sitting on the side lines during the come out, take advantage of the 7 and 11 by betting $10 on the pass lkne. You should still place the 6 and the 8 after the point established. Good 👍
The 6 and 8 have basically the same house edge as the Pass line.
i like the length of the video. i know nothing about what is going on, but by the end i know exactly what is going on
YES,, people have to budget for a given number of shooters, and limit what they will play on any shooter, but then get it out low house edge bets. I love the hedge of a come bet, but I don't see how this is as good as $5 on the line to start. There are 4 more ways to win on that $5, every 36 rolls. An extra 1/12 of the time you will have $30 and $5 bet on a # already. They give you the come bet hedge on the pass line. Trying to get to 4 points, the way of waiting for a point and then place and come betting, gets there 1 # slower. You are awesome, I still love your channel.
I found your channel about a week ago and have watch about 4-5 videos a day. I’ve got so much information from it and I love it! Thank you for everything you do and all the knowledge. I have my own strategy that I came up with on my own, I call it “The Simply Hard” strategy. I bet 15 on the pass line, and 15 on 6 and 8. And 15 on all the hard ways and then let the dice roll. It’s worked pretty well for me and I’ve done good with it. I thought it would be pretty cool if you could do a video on it and maybe critique it a little if you have any tips. Thank you!
I tripled my money tonight. Great night in Vegas with my beautiful wife celebrating our anniversary, getting free drinks, cheering on strangers and acting crazy using your advise! so I ordered a shirt as appreciation!
Sounds like a great night! Thanks for getting a shirt.
I think this is about as good as it gets apart from pure passline come and odds. the 6 and 8 are always working and you get the benefit of the winner 7 and 11. no odds but you dont lose much either. good strategy for a person who likes to play slow and not risk much.
Silver Hunter I’m sure it will get it’s fair share of criticism that it’s too conservative to have a chance to win, but I like this one as well
I have been way up using the 5-9 Parlay to 6-8 strategy you presented in another video, over the last few weeks.
Cool, hopefully you have had a bit of luck on your side
I’m an amateur at best, but I just somewhat tried this strategy and won $440 online in a matter of 24 hours. Thanks
Great strategy....just played it and doubled my stake. Th dealer told a frustrated "newish" player...do whatever that guy (me) does
Where casino online you play craps?
In regards to money management, you were talking about “house money”. Once I win it, it’s mine. Lol. Once I have a fair a bit of money over and above what I bought in for, I will take those chips and just take them off the rack and pocket it. I go back to working just off my buy in. When I have some decent profits, I pocket that money. And just keep repeating the process. If I come to a point where I am loosing money from my by in and can’t seem to recoup it, I leave the table. Well, that’s what I’m supposed to do and most of the time I do. I try to limit my losses to 20% of my buy in. But stuff happens but at lease if I do lose then I just take the difference from my winnings and and my profits are a little less than before. But by taking the profits completely off the rack, I don’t just keep playing with “house money”, and my profits are safer. In theory. You have to be very self disciplined and forget that you pocketed those chips. Lol.
Jana Giraud I personally play like you, except I’m willing to lose 50% of my buy in. I don’t remember what I said in this video but I don’t believe in “house money” either, I’m surprised I said that, but when recording these videos sometimes I say incorrect things so....
Color Up, I typically only play with a $200.00 buy in so I try to keep my monetary losses low. But it really depends on the table. It could be that I’m not making good decisions so I just hold back a few hands and watch. I don’t like switching from do to don’t on the same game. I find I really get into trouble doing that. FYI, I don’t get to the casino near often enuf so these vids really fill a void. It’s nice to see someone that truly understands the game. There are some real goofs out there.
There are some goofs out there, and while I feel like I understand the game pretty well, I still have a lot to learn!
Color Up, trust me you have a much better idea of how to play sensibly.
Me and my boys hit Bellagio for almost 10k with this strategy and a bit of luck, THANKS!
In Tunica, I've switched my strategy to: After the point is established, bet $64 across, then turn them off. I've noticed that MOST players in Tunica MS, only throw two rolls, after establishing a point. Of course, there ARE exceptions but, on the most part, only two or three before they either make their point or seven out. Almost everyone, however, does at least two successful rolls. Sure I miss a lot of rolls that could have made me money but, I also miss a lot of rolls that could have lost me money.
Avg roll is 8.5 so that means at least half are under 8 so your theory isn’t too far off
That was true, when I was in Las Vegas, and even in Tunica and Biloxi, a few years ago. That seems to have changed in Tunica, over the past few years. I count the majority of rolls, at Fitz, Horse Shoe, Gold Strike and 1st Jackpot casinos, (the ones I frequent mostly, in Tunica) 3, after the point is established. Some fewer, 1 or 2, and VERY few more than five. They seem to have bouncier tables. I set dice, and the only set I can use, now, is a cross six and with THAT set, I throw a LOT of hard sixes. If I set for a hard ten, I get an eleven. (that came in handy a couple of times.)
Absolutely love this conservative strategy. Fits me perfect. Also, seems like an easy strategy to show a beginner
Glad you think so!
@@ColorUp I would make one adjustment with this strategy. If a place # hits with the come in play, Instead of racking the money, I'd use it to place any of the open numbers to make my 4 . This would negate "wasting" a roll looking for the additional numbers you want covered.
Easiest way to play conservative, using this current method, is to add the "5 count" strategy with it. A vast number of shooters are "7 out" in under 5 rolls. By utilizing the "5 count" (look it up, there are websites and videos on that as well), and this method of conservatism, you can protect yourself and play longer.
Also, watch for pattern shooters. No one really completely "controls" the dice, but some people do a pretty good job of minimizing a 7, or hitting a certain number. It happens. I rolled today for about 30 minutes. I started out conservative. Got my money back, started upward trend, then got more aggressive. Hit the "6" over a dozen times (I would place a bet, take my winnings, then start pressing it up, then take my winnings. I did this from $12 at the start and ended with $90 on just the 6. I took back about 5 winnings at $30 and at least 5 winnings at $60, before bumping them up. I rolled every number exempt snake eyes (1-1), as this casino has "all small / all numbers / all tall" bets. Betting conservative, using small odds, and building up on numbers that repeated, I went up over $750 on just my rolls, and I bought in $100. After 3 hours total, I left the table at over $900 (over $800 profit).
I've found the best way is to use a variant of what this youtube author has shown, combine with a 5 count when the table is "cold", and, when a good shooter comes, start with the odds...slowly...and build up once they show they are controlled in how they throw (ie...they don't just grab the dice and huck them down the table). Someone who sets the dice a certain way and throws them in a controlled manner....if they do this, and last more than 5 throws, they have a likelihood to be an ok shooter if you are betting.
If I played all the time I would possibly implement the dice dominator 5 count. Or the dice doctor strategy which is you don't play unless the roller throws a come out 7 or hits 1 point. What I've found is IF you do those strategies you're gonna be at the table ALL day. And sometimes someone will throw 15 rolls before a point, then seven out. So while the long term says you will win MORE if you wait, my patience isn't there.
@@kronosecw Dice are completely random and every roll is independent of the last. Doesn't matter if you roll 10 7s in a row you still have a 1 in 6 chance of rolling them on that 11th roll.
@@ADPfan07 did you ever hear of streaks?
That in my experience can be a really good strategy especially when you have hot dice.
Despite what house edge may tell you, I don’t like come bets. And here’s the reason why.
Yes, technically you CAN do a put bet, I’d be okay with that, I feel as if the problem with come bets is your losing out on money for example.
Come out roll, we make the 4.
Place a come bet, it rolls a 5, then it has to travel to the 5, then hit again to win, where as you just place bet it, you’ll break even on the first roll.
Come bets pay true odds, but two things, it has to travel, then hit again to get paid. So really, you have to hit it 3 times to really make any money.
Many players agree with you. There is a major debate over place bets vs come bets for sure. each have their advantages.
@@ColorUp but players are welcome to do their own playing style :) it’s their money.
loving the running total, Thanks.
Berelore great, it is extra work..cause math is hard haha, but hopefully I can continue it because it is helpful I think
Fun little strategy for a short bankroll but I definitely don’t have the discipline to not put odds on the come bets
I am working this through a bunch of hands on the sim. It looks really fun and perfect for us low rollers, will report back.
Better play would be place the 6 and 8. On the first hit place either the 5 or 9. On the second hit place the other of the 5 or 9. Still have your 4 numbers (and better ones) but the payoff is better.
Boy I took a beating last night! Table was rolling 7’s like they were going outta style. Not a bad strategy here, I may try tomorrow night. Thanx!
Let us know how it works out, but you need the dice to cooperate no matter the strategy.
This needs to be one of many strategies. We really need to be paying attention to who the shooter is. A random roller with no money is likely going to 7 out. Players need to learn to play dark side bets with odds. When the shooter is hot, you need to press your bets or pump your odds, otherwise, why are you even there? 4 numbers working is not conservative, its pretty aggressive and playing the same style for each shooter is crazy. This method may have worked out for this video, but what happened on the first shooter could easily happen on any shooter.
itinkle yes, it can happen to any shooter so not sure why you need to pay attention to who the shooter is?
Sometimes I will lay the 4 or 10 while playing the pass line and 6/8, it works as a hedge if the 7 rolls out. Also dice control helps alot as well. Thanks for the video!
Forgot to say when I lay the 4 I will put some money on the hard 4 that way only 2 combinations will beat me out!
I put $60 on the Lay 4, then i place $12 on 6, $12 on 8 and $6 on the hard 4! The only way I can lose is an easy 4!
Just stop with the dice control garbage. It's been proven time and time again not to work.
@@xflfantasy4592 Yeah brilliant you're not even covering a full loss on the soft 4. You're only getting paid $42 and losing $60 for a -$18. So 7 comes you're losing $1, soft 4 you're losing $18. Only way you're winning with this strategy is if you hit a good decent amount of 6s and 8s before a 7 or soft 4 comes. So no you have more than 2 combinations that can beat you, you have 8 combinations that can beat you. You should up the Lay 4 to $76 and up your hard 4 to $11. This way you actually win $1 with a 7 and win $1 if a hard 4 comes. Just a thought...
great video. going to Harrah Cherokee in carolina today, watched this video like 5 times, will be my first time on craps table. and they have only 10$ tables on the weekends,so will try it out. should be good. easy strategy, after 3-4 times watching it shouldnt have any problems.will let you know. thanks.
See what works best for you if your the thrower I really think there is a difference between rolling and throwing
Just won $350 at hard rock with this method 12-30-23… it works you can get a little more aggressive with it at any time with a good shooter!
I like the money counter you added, you should change the color to green to make it easier to see
Great! thanks for the feedback
I like this strategy, I use a similar method but I play the pass-line and take full odds. I know the $30 risk limit keeps you in the game longer but no balls, no blue chips! just bring more cash to the table! LOL. I just stay away from the sucker bets!
I've watched this about 10 times. I still don't understand what's going on.
Don't feel bad. Craps is very difficult to learn by just watching, you really need someone to explain it while watching. I suggest looking for a video on learning craps, this is on a betting strategy, assuming you already know how to play.
heroshyma69 i dont think he feels bad. I think the issue is the video seems geared towards introductory players at least as far as betting amount is concerned.
This video goes very fast in regards to pay outs, and where money is going. Understandable in regards to how the table is really going to go, but for a video it kind of loses me. Im trying to learn here..otherwise were just bullshitting and watching someone play when we cant.
simplest explanation. the person in the video is betting very safe, very cheap bets. setting aside $30 for each "shooter" or person who gets the dice. after the initial roll... or where a point is established, the guy buys in on the 6 and 8 ...which have the highest likelihood of being rolled. so... nice "safe" bets. then he plays the "come" bet... which is basically playing you're own mini game of craps with the other person throwing the dice. with this he's trying to have bets placed on 4 total numbers. the come bet also provides a little back up... because when you play the come bet. again... it's like your own personal mini game. so any 7 or 11 wins for you immediately. so it kinda provides a tiny bit of hedge/protection for when a 7 is rolled and you lose your other bets. Once/If he accomplishes his goal and gets 4 numbers with bets on them... he just waits. if one of his numbers is rolled he gets paid off on that bet. if it was his initial 6/8 that's a place bet... so it pays out and stays put. if it was one of his come bets... they being little mini games are over. so he gets paid, but has to then play the come line again, to try and replace/get back to 4 numbers. A couple of times, he did well enough... so his $30 limit per shooter was paid back... or the bets he placed, ...like he had his 4 numbers, and got paid out enough to have $30 ...he would move that aside to his other chip rack... so anything after that first $30 pay off... is then fun money. which he could bet riskier, or more aggressively. Although... didn't seem like he had much chance to do this. --the dream would be a long, sorta endless shooter, that got you back your initial investment, and rolled so long, you could build up bets, hit odds bet pay offs, and really start making money from your initial safe bets. but this rarely happens.
strategies like this... if you can stick to only betting a small amt, or a fixed amt per shooter. allow you to place a lot of bets, not risk a lot, and maybe turn a small profit. he essentially started with $300 ...and after having bet through 10 players. wound up with $58 in profit. which... meh. he got to hang out at a craps table for a half an hour. hopefully had some fun. didn't risk his money or bet aggressively...so he also made a little $$
The only issue i see with this strategy. is... i've never seen a craps table that cheap. I guess there are smaller casinos or whatever, but typically the min bet will be 15 or 25 a bet. so... you would probably need a much bigger bank roll to run a system like this. because $30 per shooter might only be like 1-3 bets.
but regardless. this strategy is a lot slower, and safer than what a lot of people do. A lot of people will just buy up numbers at the start. hoping any dice roll starts paying out. this guy's way... means you have to work to get the numbers covered, but also means an early 7 or cold shooter, means you lose less. Like... after the shooter rolls their first dice. gets a point, you could buy onto 4 numbers immediately. 6-8-9-10 maybe with this table...$5 a bet... that would cost you like $25 of the $30 you have set aside. but with doing that... if the shooters next/2nd roll is a 7 you lose everything. vs. what this guy did... if he puts out that initial $12 to buy 6/8 a second toss 7 playing the come. he wins 10 there(well... 5 on top of his initial 5). only losing a total of $ 7 vs a much larger amt had he bet more aggressively initially.
i would agree the video... is more "show" than "tell" in that i don't really know if we needed to see him work through his entire $300 bank roll. He could have just explained the process better. but ultimately he was trying to show that his method works, by running through actual dice rolls. but like... maybe time lapse, with updates wouldn't have bogged down the video with some much misc craps playing.
Same here. Ive watched so many videos about Craps and still dont know where to begin
Thanks for your "summery" and feedback. I show full rolls in my videos as that is what I get requested the most, as I used to only show the How, and did not play it through. You must be and "east coast" guy, with only 15$ and up tables, in the west and Vegas, $5 tables are still pretty easy to find.
2 questions color up.
1. Can you bet on the passline with someone else rolling on the come out roll
2. If so is that how you have 4 numbers working despite their being another shooter rolling & technically that's his point.
I'm just a little confused as I seen you pay yourself on a new shooter. No come, or place bet.
Yes anyone can bet the pass line, but only the shooter is REQUIRED to have a pass/don't pass bet.
I hit the tall bet last weekend . If the 3 came out they would win all three bets. It’s a fun bet.
nic190 it is fun! Missed it by one number , oh so close :)
I think a really cool video would be comparing a “safe” strategy to a dice “controller”. Basically testing which can win more, betting smarter or trying to influence the results.
@@johnd2684 thank you for the dice control comment . Drives me nuts when my friends talk about how they can control their rolls. Gamblers fallacy
Why does dice control talk drive you nuts? Let them believe whatever and if it brings them more enjoyment to game, who cares...
I think just placing the numbers that way you don't have to wait for the number twice on the come....
EL CHINGON that’s a legitimate reason to prefer place bets, but the come bet has its advantages as well, they are very different bets for sure
EL CHINGON It is possible to use the $22 inside regression and then use profits from remaining 2 numbers to make come bets with odds.
Chris Winchester sure and I think a good way to play
But you are hedging the 7 with the come
I like to play the field sometimes and it has paid off big!! There are times when a 6 or 8 never roll unbelievable...mostly Ill play 54 across and press every other number.
adaboy4z yep, ya never know what will work...if we did we would all be rich!
Wanted to brush up before getting back to LV. This is great 👍🏾. Been some years since I played for realz . Thnx
Good luck in Vegas!!
@@ColorUp THNXX
WOW, I've been playing 6/8 for a long time...and didnt realize it was a strategy! COOL
Great video. Chip placement is key while playing the "ASS LINE" ;)
indeed
Comment #2. Why make Come bets? You bet $5 on the come and win on 7 or 11, lose on 2, 3, 12, or go to the number that comes up say a FIVE shows. Then bet $10 odds, for $15 bet. FIVE shows next roll. You win $5 + (odds 3/2 $15) total win $20. Bet has to come down. I place bet $15 on the FIVE. FIVE shows next roll. I get odds of 7/5 or $7 X three $5 bets, or $21. Plus I only have to make the point once, you have to do so twice. Also my bet can stay up as long as I want so I can press it. First book I bought on gambling was titled, "Whether You Get 7/6, 6/5, Or Even Money Depends On How Well You Know The Game".
watch my video on come bets vs place bets, i think you will find interesting.
The Come bet is a hedge against a 7 and it favors the bettor. The shooter already demonstrated he can hit that number, if he has good dice control he has better odds hitting it again.
Just found your channel and have been powering thru all your videos. What a great presentation format to show different ways to play.
I love playing craps and am generally a "Pass Line with Odds" player and while the house edge is really low, it is a dead boring way to play. I really like this approach as you have lots of action and are in the game moving things around and working different numbers. This is way better than my boring, get whittled away by the house edge strategy. ;-)
Tyrone Powers yeah I like the action of this one as well
Love this, but it sucks when there is a hot number and you lose out on every other hit due to the come bet Knocking of the prior hit. 🤷
Great strategy, dealers go bonkers if your not placing bets then adding odds...lots of free "lessons" while at the table while playing this strategy
What really sucks is this is reliant upon 5$ tables which aren't a thing where I live. Still a fun strat, though.
around 24:15 you rolled a 7 (5-2) that should have been a front line winner as the roll before it was winning roll.. so the come bets on the 9 and 10 should have been paid and not taken down.
Incorrect. Come bets win with 7/11 when they are in the come. Once they move to a number, they are contract bets and win if number is rolled or lose with any 7. They work independently of puck and what is happening on the pass line.
Why don't you place a passerine bet each time? You may have won more and had better odds? Can you explain your strategy ? And I didn't quite understand when to hedge the bet with the passerine bet as you demonstrated in the video, can you explain that please?
At 10:48 I would have took my odds off the ten and put it on the six come. But you rolled a seven so it didn't matter. If I was up, I would take odds on the six and eight and flat bet all the other numbers. That's just me. Good video.
Sure, we all play differently and that is why craps is such a great game!
At 7:35 was there any particular reason why you moved your bet to the 9 instead of come? Great videos, very informative content!
6 was bet with the pass line. So I just moved to cover the 9…I could have bet in the come instead, but then may have ended up on 4 or 10.
Thinking once you have your shooter bankroll off you could move to place bets and press. Also might save some $’s if a run of come out 7’s - top shelf strategy!
Are use the strategy with $120 everyplay. I played for many hours I was very happy with this strategy. And many times I went 500 plus dollars. In the end I started getting greedy in betting bigger lol
Tech MD RUclips glad you colored up! Hard to avoid being greedy when you are up some
I just won $460 in a little over 1 hour using this strategy. I do want to add that the shooter did really good without shooting craps in almost 15 minutes. The key is to stay conservative.
Nice color up!
You should watch some videos about pressing strategies.
U might call me superstition but if u roll the dice instead of throw the dice u might avoid the seven7 IDK experiment maybe you brought that to my attention like a flower blooming nice and easy
I really like on your videos that you allocate a specific amount per shooter. Like you. Bring enough for 10 shooters.
It seems to be a good money management system, while allowing enough money to hopefully hit one decent roll.
I always back up any comes bets with at least single odds. Cause then you get like $20+ if you hit the number with odds.
Odds are great, you do win more but because you are putting more money at risk
I like this approach a lot. I just started playing and I've found your videos the most helpful by far. My last time out I almost hit the full fire bet (got them all but the 4). Still paid 250 to 1 and no one even bought me a beer. :/
Maybe you should have a fire bet discussion. I'd also like to ask you if you have any insight in to how to achieve a better comp rate at a craps table. Seems like I can potentially lose a lot fast and I don't get the recognition for it I would get elsewhere for the same loss.
belerophon I do have a fire bet video. As far as comps, unfortunately they seem to be a mystery with no real standard between all places, or even consistency from table to table
Great strategy. What is your best suggestion for little risk? Do you think this may be the best one? Thanks again
tough to say, I would say there is no "best" whatever strategy you choose, the dice have to roll just right. Least risk might just be to make a single line bet, or maybe just place the 6 or 8 and wait. Of course no one can do that and its pretty boring :)
Not bad. Made 19℅ on your money in what would be a few hours or even less!
"Time to make a profit"
Said this right before rolling a 7 a few times in this video 😂
I'd really like a small bank roll 5 dollar table video. Like someone with a 30-50 dollar bankroll.
My new favorite channel. Thanks!
zachohrt wow, thank you for watching
Just play the field allday and if the point is 6 or 8 bet on the pass line with double odds
I am not sure why you would not start with a pass line bet? The house only has a 1.41% edge, that makes it one of the best bets on the table. It should also be pointed out that odds bets pay true odds with a zero house edge. I know we are limited to $30 but playing the pass line would get us to an odds bet faster. So for example if a six or eight is rolled on the come out. You can do an odds rather than a place bet. Otherwise, I like this strategy, it seems like you could stay at the table a long time without a huge bank. Great video.
Michael Dose thousands of different ways to play, this way just happens to not use the pass line. Of course if you are shooting you would need to play the pass or don’t pass
I understand that there are infinite variations you could come up with on any given strategy. If there is a reason, for passing on one of the best most basic bets, I'd like to hear it. If it is just random that's cool, but in Vegas my basic strategy is to concede as little ground odds wise as possible. We still lose, just slower.
This channel is about showing many different ways to play, and they all depend on the dice cooperation to win. Otherwise, I would have nothing to show...bet the don’t pass with max odds, the “best mathematical bet” and that would be it, but it’s not that simple, you have to get lucky and beat the odds or probability. Not to mention that would get boring as the only way to play this game.
Yep, that would be the best possible odds but we likely wouldn't be making $30 bets and it would be nerve wracking. So we digress. I like the strategy, just an honest question. When I use this I will definitely make the pass bet, because I don't see a reason not to.
Wow..i like all your vids...but as a shooter you need pass or dont pass bet to shoot the dices...this strategy sound good to me...nice work
Why don't you bet on the initial roll on the pass line, but bet on the come line after the shooter gets their number?
They never mention a shooter can roll 2,3,12 when you are on the come line. Also if you are placing the 6 & 8 you are not getting full odds which should be 6:5 Also why not take odds on the other point #'s if you're willing to risk two place bets? Taking odds late in the roll is the "hot hand fallacy" ( see Movie The Big Short ) Every roll is not dependent on what happened on the last roll.
This strategy only places the 6/8 vs other numbers because the place 6/8 has a 1.52% house edge, placing the other numbers is over a 4% edge. This strategy then uses come bets (1.4%)to add other numbers. Odds are added to the come bet numbers once there is a profit, not waiting for "late in the roll" but simply waiting to have a profit first before risking additional monies.
I can’t wait to try this strategy in Reno in a couple of weeks!
