What is the difference between honors classes at UT and just taking regular college course classes??

Thanks for your question. I was in Liberal Arts Honors. The classes tend to be smaller and the curriculum either more advanced or accelerated compared to a non-honors class. There is a community aspect, so a lot of my friends came from my honors program and the others at the university. Honors is one way to succeed, but not the only one, nor is it necessary.

This may sound like a dumb question but when they write the letter of recommendation where do you send it ? Like do I personally get it from them and send them or? Can you please clarify? I’m new to all this

Have you submitted your application yet? You can submit LORs and other documents on My Status after you submit your application.

How many rec letters can you send?

I don't think there is a limit as to how many rec letters you can send. But be careful about sending too many. It just looks desperate. I would suggest sending two at maximum. Also, remember what the guy in the video said. A good letter will give the admissions officers new insight about an applicant, something that isn't generic like "Johnny earned all A's in high school, and he has 100+ hours of community service." Impressive, but so did thousands of other applicants. You need something on there that truly makes you stand out from other students, otherwise you'll be wasting the admissions office's time. We don't want that, do we? Make sure that the person writing it knows you, loves you, and of course writes well.

how long does it take to process an application? or how many steps? i'm curious because i turned it in a few weeks ago and i was told i wont hear anything until June. Why does it take this long? I'm aware that they have lots of applications. I want to know if it goes from step to step for the whole 4 months or it'll be reviewed and decided in like a couple of weeks but they won't notify me until later since I apply near the deadline? thank you!

Since you already have college credit, you will apply as a transfer student. This does not require the SAT.
You can find information about English test scores here: admissions.utexas.edu/apply/freshman-admission#fndtn-freshman-admission-scores-international
