Hi! I'm a senior and I am applying to UT- Austin. It's probably my number one choice right now, and I want to make sure everything is perfect before I send it. So along with the activity list, do I also have to upload a resume? Or is that optional? Thanks!
I am currently a senior and a bit confused on how to turn in an official transcript from my high school along with a recommendation letter. I am unsure on how to use the Document Upload System and whether I need to submit the application before doing so. I would greatly appreciate any assistance on the issue. Regards Matt
Thanks for your question! You can access the Document Upload System after you submit Apply Texas. You will receive a "UTEID," so be sure to check your e-mail. You can always physically mail your transcript to UT and the other universities you are applying. You can ask your registrar at your school with help on this.
UT Admissions Guy ok great, thanks for the help. I will finish my ApplyTexas application and then have my counselor and recommenders use the Doc Upload System.
If we are applying as a transfer student, do we include information about high school activities and volunteering on our resume? I will be a sophomore when I transfer. Thanks!
Thanks for your question! the rule of thumb is to include anything from the previous five years. It would be fine to include your activities from high school.
Thank you! On UT's website, they advise taking Bio 1406 and 1407 together at community college before transferring. I will only be taking Bio 1406 next semester at ACC and (hopefully) will be at UT in the fall, so I will not have Bio 1407 completed (BIO 311D + BIO 206LB at UT). Do you think this will hinder me from transferring in the fall into COLA? I would like to accepted into Psychology (the BS track).
As long as the course doesn't say "required," you don't need to take it. Usually, the only absolutely necessary courses for transfer are calculus for business and engineering, or economics for business. Anything that says "recommended" is just that - a recommendation and not a prerequisite.
Thank you for your help! Also, will AP credits be included in the 30 hours needed to transfer? When I submit this fall's grades, I will have 24 credits completed at ACC, as well as 9 hours from AP exams. I have sent these scores to UT and ACC, but haven't claimed any credits.
Hey man love the videos! Just a quick question about a resume for a transfer applicant as an undergraduate. Currently 28 about to get an associates degree at Austin Community College and I hold a full time job for the state. I'm good with filling out the professional experience on my resume, but what else should I include? My high school accolades are 10 years old and I don't know if I should include those. Thanks for all your help!
Hi Kevin, I'm a senior in high school and I'm going to be a transfer student in a couple of years and would like to apply to UT. As far as the resume goes, I haven't done any type of extracurricular activities until this year. Would that be okay?

You can upload an "expanded" paper resume AFTER you submit Apply Texas. UT recommends that you submit this expanded resume.
How do I send the expanded resume? just mail it to UT admissions?
DOES UT AUSTIN GIVE COMPETITIVE SCHOLARSHIP? I am an international freshman.
