Great interview - loved the part in German - I was born in one country, raised in another, with parents from totally different nationalities (not the countries I was born in nor raised in) ahah - so, yes, I fell I belong to all of them. Very nice.
I noticed over Guy's left shoulder that there is room for one more book on the shelf. May even be able to get two skinny one in that spot and one on the shelf above. Fantastic interview. One of my favorites. I learned about him through Monish.
Recently I heard abt Guy Spier. Will check on his track record. Btw I recently did a video on one the best fund managers today Chuck Akre and would love to see u guys interview him
Correct me if I’m wrong but Munger never said “Don’t read fiction” I believe he said that he personally doesn’t read fiction. I too, decided that I would stay away from fiction bcz of Mr. Munger, but I soon realized that would be a mistake. You can certainly learn a lot of fiction!
thank you for this interview :D I'm a young student and in the future i would like to create an investment fund for the poeple around me to help them to manage their money and this kind of interview is surely helpful
It's shocking a smart guy like Guy refers to NLP - which over 40 years has been debunked as hocus-pocus and pseudo-science. Unlike meditation, which has been proved to have measurable effects.
Interesting interview I think he's more interested in being a good person than he is maximizing his returns and I mean I am personally a seminary graduate and I have a lot of sort of altruistic feelings as well but I really prefer listening to Manish prabhra I talk about Mao Tai and PE's of one and things like that I think guy is just sort of going along with his master cards and and you know I don't see much to learn from honestly in terms of investment other than don't trade a lot and don't be over stimulated but beyond that I just I don't see a lot of value in his investment thoughts but in fairness to him there were some good takeaways in the book and I do recommend his book but compared to mohnish I'm not that excited

2 camera setup tip: Don't cross the line of the subject's attention. It' jarring to switch sides like that. Basic film student rule!
