I’m 71 years old and new to watercolour painting and I absolutely love your videos and your teaching! Thank you so much for sharing your passion and your talent!
Thank you for this class as I have learned a number of tips that I will use in my next project. A number of white plates and no washing makes a lot of sense. Two brushes I am definitely going to use this tip. I just bought your book last week and I simply love it. Your paintings are magical and I really wish to learn this method. Much appreciation for what you do and for sharing with all of us. nuria san - mauro Ashland, Oregon usa
Thank you Olga! These tips are so valuable to me as a beginner at 69 years old. I didn’t know I should tap my brush before I put it to my painting and had no idea about waiting until my piece was dry before adding more paint unless I had added it quickly. When I stop and think it makes perfect sense but I never would have come up with that on my own. And using two brushes, genius idea!!! I just love your videos and want you to know how much I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and talent.
I am an experienced watercolorist and those tips were SOLID! Lots of people have a lot of advice, but not always good. Those were great tips, even for intermediate learners!👍
Hi Olga. Thank you so much for these fantastic tips. I’m always learning and particularly found the hand positions and where to hold the brush, extremely helpful. I love your work❤
I am thankful, that I came here to your channel . Wonderful how you explain everything. And that Iris, just a few brushstrokes and it was wonderful. You are a great artist.
The tip that will help me so much is using two brushes. So logical, don't know why I didn't think of it! However serveral tips reinforced things I new but had forgotten. Thanks so much.
The tip for using 2 brushes I think will be so valuable to me. No other tutorial or watercolor youtuber has mentioned this. Thank you so much. I love your channel!
Love it, thank you Olga!!!! I felt better hearing you have “maybe 15” palettes with dried color. I too love the serendipity of picking from those mixes!
Wonderful comments. I like the one with having several brushes. I kept having to wash my main brush every time I want to change colours. Thanks for the tips

This was so helpful. I especially need to practice applying pressure and releasing pressure techniques, and holding a brush differently for detail or very loose. Such a great summary. I really appreciate your videos. Thank you.
Helpful tips! I was so glad to hear you say don't wash the palette - I do that and always think I'm being crazy, but why lose all that mixture that you took time to mix? Also, I had never thought about using two brushes. Thank you for sharing these!
I love all your videos and thank you so much,,,,could you do some painting on card size 5x7 to get the right dimension like on flowers or whatever,,again thank you
@@olgakoelsch the water, controling the water everywhere, in the paper, in the brush, the water in the pigment... I'm having problems even with my shower's water! (Trying to do a joke in english...) Always too much or very few, never the right cuantity.
That a good notice! It’s very natural for watercolors as paper absorbs some pigments. Cotton paper absorbs more than synthetic. Usually you just get used to your colors and know when it’s possible to add some more vibrancy 🤗

Not turning the paper. Best tip this year
I was thinking; Some watercolors change their vibrance when they are wet and when they dry. Any help?
