How to Paint on Black Watercolor Paper (White Roses Bouquet Tutorial)

In this watercolor tutorial, I will show you how to paint white whimsical bouquet on a black watercolor paper. Spoiler - we are not going to paint with watercolor!

I saw on Amazon today that Paul Rubens have a "sparkly" Glitter watercolour paper, it looks fabulous and i think it would be lovely for water, lake, sea, water falls, bubbles, glass, balloons etc x I do love the black paper u used too x Love Alli and Bella XXX

Congratulations on your anniversary! You are a wonderful teacher! Have you tried tinting the gouache with a few different colors to paint a more colorful bouquet? I have been asked to paint wildflowers on black paper in watercolor. Haven't ordered the paper yet because I didn't know if it was possible.

I would say watercolor might not work very well on black paper, only as you said you add a bit into white gouache (then it will be light pastel looking). Gouache (or acrylic should work pretty well

Yes, I use white gouache and mix it with watercolor
