- A walk through of how to re-pad your stock seat for more comfort. This can apply to any year model, and frankly, any type of motorcycle seat. It's the same process.

Came out better than I thought. Nice work.
I would try to make the seat have less slope to add to your previous seat shimming. Added foam up front/remove rear foam. That's the general approach that Corbin and Sargent take.
good job. be interested to hear how it is. out of trial and error, I learned that for me the most comfortable shape was to have it pretty much flat, so looking at your seat I would have re shaped the existing foam towards the back as well as adding the top layer. I found using an electric carving knife (!) worked best for that ha. I also had to re upholster mine but the existing seat was in very poor condition anyway.

Quick and cheap suggestion: try wearing a padded cycling shorts to which you can always another layer
if needed. I've used this on a few of my bikes and for me it works great.

After riding on bicycle racing seats for about 60 years I must have a toned tush as I found both my FZ-01 and Tracer 9 GT seats are very supportive and comfortable on long days. However,y main discomfort are Depends undergarments which on hot days makes me sweat a lot. I wish I had an answer to that.
there is this seat adjustment set available , it only raises front part of seat, so you dont tip forward so much any more, I may try to get that one
well done. i have made about the same..but i put gel sells, just to the front of the seat.The main problem...for me is that the seat push you to the tank. Needs to rise front in order to sit more up...and not push your balls to the tank.
Well, I already installed the shim kit in another video, that raises the front of the seat 8mm, to make it not slope forward as much.
Got my Tracer 9GT here in OZ only a few weeks ago wow what a bike I love it, but wow that seat is bloody crap!
With all the other seat mods you have done and now with this extra padding, how is the seat now?
Still not great... Honestly, I am on a mission to just replace it, once the aftermarket catches up to this newer model...

How are you?quick question in reference to the R1.Which link pipe did you use?Ever since I saw that you used the stock muffler I am seriously considering doing the same.It sound better that most aftermarket exhaust.Did you loose any power by just using the stock can?
Its from HotBodies Racing, got it from Revzilla. Sounds awesome, made the same power as any other slipon. A 3" hole is a 3" hole...

That bike looks like a keeper, huh? You put some time and effort in it instead just giving it back if smth essential as ergos for one's butt (on a tourer) just don't fit spot on.
The other thing, well my heart is with the people in Ukraine too. I just don't feel alike with the president, he is in pandora papers just as the russian one... same wood. Wonder how the Seperatists behave if all is over, esp regarding the things that happened at and after 2nd of May 2014 riots in Odessa.
I don't know that any bike will ever be a keeper, but so far I really like it. It reminds me a lot of my 2007 FZ1. Now that bike made close to 140hp at the wheel, plus I had a Penske race shock installed, Traxxion Dynamics AK20 fork internals and springs, exhaust and tune, new front brake rotors and braided steel lines, Hyperpro steering damper, etc... That is a bike that I wish they still made today, because it ripped on track but also made a nice sport tourer...
An yeah, Ukraine isn't perfect, but what is happening to them is atrocious... Putin needs to stand trial for several warm crimes over this...

Thinking about picking up a Yamaha Tracer 9 GT seat from Corbin, pretty recently released:

Kinda spendy at $600 but the stock seat is brutal, even with the JK3D slope reducer.
There's a heat option but I would never use it, trying to find out if their cooling option can be combined with this seat.
They have a configurator to visualize your color choices. I set this one up but would go with black stitching instead of white. I selected the logo in red since I have a red Tracer. Note that this is not the exact Tracer 9 GT seat but pretty close. You can approximate how it's going to look:
