Prayers for Ziggy that he can eat better and gain weight.
I wish you had shown what his teeth looked like after the float. I bet he's a lot more comfortable now, though! Thanks for caring for him so well. I would chip in, but I've got a few rescues of my own so I'm stretched to the limit, and I'm not a 501(c)3. I hope you understand.
Hard to see the few left at the back! Hexs gained 260lbs now!
Let’s see what the next month brings. Thanks for sticking with such an old boy - he deserves you guys!
Thank you!!
Such a sweet boy! I'm glad Ziggy is in your hands.
Thank you so much!
My 34 year old couldn't eat hay anymore. So I soaked Timothy pellets with beet pulp. Love watching your channel ❤
God bless him, he deserves a happy ending. You are giving him every chance to have loving care before he goes across the Rainbow Bridge.
Ziggy is adorable
The cutest!
Watery bran mash with a cup or two of black strap molasses for energy. Kept an old toothless Appendix Quarter Horse I knew in decent health from 28 yrs old until 32 years old.
Thanks for all you do.... Rescuers are the Angels of the Horse world......
Thank you ❤️
I'd LOVE to be right there, hands on,loving on those horses, helping with the horses!!
Brushing,grooming,loving on them!❤❤
Ziggy is such a sweetheart. Thank you for taking care of him!
Would rope lights, or christmas lights maybe, wrapped around the pen help? or is the motion activated enough, you think?
You are so kind, thank you taking care of Ziggy 😊
Always!
I watched the previous video of this rescue horse and was wondering if he had teeth because of the way he was chewing. This video confirmed it was a teeth issue. I hope soaking up his meals in water will help him achieve weight gain or at least a better quality of living. Because I can see that he is interested in food and still has an appetite. It's when he no longer as an interest in food is when I would worry. It's just a matter of finding what works with him on his life journey.
I had a senior cat in her 25 and up range. And she at her last stages only was able to eat water soaked wet can food.
We'll try our best!
The missing front teeth are the lesser problem, as they aren't really used for chewing. The missing molars and the condition of the remaining are.
Thanks for trying with ziggy hes one skinny boy
Thanks!
Thank YOU!
You do so good with your rescues, keep doing what you're doing girl, you truly care and it shows! Wish more people saw your channel, it would get you more support! Hey, you sound winded, hope you're feeling ok! Take care of yourself too! Hope ya have a great weekend!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for all your hard work 💜
The only thing that keeps my 31 year old quarter horse in good weight is Nutrena’s ProForce Senior feed. I’ve tried a lot of different things, ProForce is the only thing that has kept him healthy.
We've had excellent results with Sentinel Performance - it's a higher fat% and just as digestible. Glad to hear your senior is doing well!
Do you have an intro video where we learn what RH is and perhaps your name? I watch & like your videos & just realized I dnk much about the people running such a kind and generous rescue. I have seen the rescue pop up on chats on another channel, but the rescue does not seem to be addressed directly. Maybe more people need an intro too?
Great idea! Have been thinking about doing that kind of video for a while - we'll get on it
I wish that he could rest in a stall for safety.
He tries really hard to eat😮 maybe a mash os some kind.
Alfa Pro put a little water so it's soft and he can gain weight and survive and all essential vitamins.
He gets very soupy alfalfa
