I hope I am not making a mistake. But I feel she was unfairly criticized for darkening her skin for Nina Simone, bio pic. And looking at her here today.....She didn't need to. Her acting is awesome, and transcends the need to darken her skin.....I though the director was stupid for having her darken skin.
It was so unnecessary to use those terrible prosthetics. Also goodness they couldn't find a better Nina? She's talented but Nina's pain came from her distinctive appearance causing her criticism for her appearance. Doubt she could channel that fully.
@@mrsoshadabaadman Nuance's are not easy to express. If you judged her on her prosthetic then you fail to grasp her acting ability! I took all that into consideration, and yet I think her acting, over powered her disguises.
