007 LE owner here: still my favorite version because of the golden logo and seconds hand, it just fits so well. But the Titanium one is very nice too, I hadn't noticed that it's lighter than the 007, gotta have a look at it at the GS boutique. As for what I'm wearing today: the Mistflake - it's my new gada watch, absolutely loving it.
As a fan of darker dials, namely black and blue, i picked the 021 to own. I like how the 021 can be two watch colors AND textures in one watch. It is black and plain dial in low light and blue with textured waves in bright lighting. Of course it is all up to personal taste and i encourage everyone to see the watches in person if you can before commiting to one or the other. One this is for sure though, the 9RA2 spring drive caliber inside these pieces is an accuracy beast. I kept my 021 running for a month nonstop and checked the time against atomic clock app on my phone. It was -0.5 seconds off after 1 month. Impressive feat of technology🤩 plus the smooth sweeping seconds hand is just the sweetest icing on the cake
I’m wearing my SLGA019 Lake Suwa!! Just took delivery of it on Monday and I’m thrilled with it. I love the lighter navy blue color and I’m glad I waited for this one over the 021. I also love the Titanium construction. The slight polished bevel on the sides of the links is a really nice subtle touch. I also appreciate the improved scratch resistance of the grade 5 titanium. I noticed how the crystal doesn’t stick up as much over the bezel as on my mechanical SLGH005 White Birch. The crown is also a different shape- something which I immediately recognized when I went to unscrew it and set the time. I was surprised it’s 11.4 mm. That must because of the crystal. Fascinating.
I sold my Snowflake SBGA211 and am currently wearing my SBGA041J which is a discontinued model. Hopefully, I'll get Sbga019 in the future. Thanks for the reviews.
Lac suwa is basically my dream dial (one of the themes of my collection is actually "blue") for the moment it's kinda my dream watch!!!!! Thank you si much for the explanation!!!!!
I really wanted the original and was bummed I missed it as it sold out so fast. The new was is very tempting. I really nice alternative to my Snowflake.

Just ordered my 021. Like some below. The black at angles give it a sense of mystery and surprise when light hits it. Of the 3 its the most appealing to me.

I liked the look of this watch (5-day power reserve, indicator on the back, titanium bracelet), but was concerned about the extra size and weight compared to my two old Kinetics, both in titanium. A few years ago someone gave me a large, thick, heavy & ugly Henry Jay watch, which had sat in a drawer, unworn. I had the bracelet shortened and started to wear it, and found it wearable. Then, I was happy to purchase an SLGA019, and very happy am I with it. I find the bracelet ok.

I like the limited edition 007 because of that pop of gold. Also while I prefer the dial color of the newer 019, I don't think that titanium is worth the extra money.
As someone who lusted over the 007 ever since it came out, i don't have that same drive to obtain this model. At $10,400, I think they are pricing it to a point where I lost interest. Unfortunately, that seems to be a trend in the watch industry.
Agree w/you Chris. Of the 3 this version is nice. Staying a purist and if its a SD the power reserve indicator should be on the face dial like Cindy Crawford's mole.
I don't understand why most of these expensive watches are absolutely unusable in the dark. Why is the luminescence not a standard on these things? Do people not wear their watches at night?
Hi, basically lume takes away from the finish on the dial markers and hands and is a characteristic of sport watches in the luxury field. Lume doesn't really work very well either to be honest, so it is typical to see that left out in mechanical watches, verses something battery powered with a button and a light.
Sorry guys, but the case shape, crown shape/proportions, date window, and crappy non micro adjust bracelet are far more important than a dial! 🙄 Once you have had one or two Grand Seiko’s they become super boring 🥱
@@LittletreasuryI like too many brands to list. I would say the original Lake Suwa was the best. I love both my Grand Seiko’s, but there is just nowhere to go with the brand now for me which is a big shame, and I think the ‘evolution’ of the Lake Suwa highlights why. I am all for evolution, but changing the shade of a dial is akin to a MoonSwatch getting a gold second hand IMO.
@@LittletreasuryDarkening the metal and lightening the dial also seems odd to me. Hopefully V4 will go back to the original, but just change the things I originally mentioned. That would be far more evolutionary. It really needs to loose the date window. The elaborate dials seem to make colour matching a date window impossible, so best just to take it away.

The 021 is the most interesting of the three. The ever-changing dial from black to a deep navy blue makes that model standout.
Also comes in stainless steel which I actually like more since it has a bit of weight

I have the Snowflake and it is my favorite watch. I wear it almost every day. I have no need to spend another $11,000 on a watch I don’t like as much.

The original Lake Suwa, the Minamo SLGA007, will always be the more special one.
