This man is finally getting his deserved praise. When all eyes and all the talk were about Gareth Bale or Asensio being the ones to step up after Ronaldo’s departure, Benzema simply got on with it and has been nothing short of world class, his ridiculously good first touch, his hold up play, his dribbling , goals, assists, he’s been doing it all and RMA would be a FAR lesser team without him. The epitome of underrated.
At 33 Benzema is better than any other 23 year old. Incredible display in the first half. Modric, Kroos and Ramos were fantastic. Vazquez with a priceless gesture in the end

Furthermore, Atleti can probably afford to hold on for draws against sides like Real, Barça, Sevilla etc because most of the time they’ll be able to beat the smaller teams whereas Real may be more likely to win the games against Atleti and Barça however they can drop points at any given time to any small team, I think it’ll be close but if I had to guess I’d still say Atleti will end up winning La Liga

The problem is that you can't exactly go through an entire season without rotating, so that eventual game when Marcelo or Isco starts or Benzema or Ramos gets a day off will come, and you can't be confident in Madrid to win that game easily based on what we've seen so far.
