My man! Appreciate it brother, hope to see you around in the comments more! 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
You have to name it Bonnie to go with ole Clyde right?
Name her old blue !
Doing a great job! Rather you take your time and build it on your time!
You crack me up, like a little kid at Christmas! Name it Red Rocket for all those dicks out there watching the build!
Call it Redbone!
That was build when men were men and woman were proud of it
You just can’t kill an idi, that truck is solid, it’ll probably outlive us.
My buddy’s pa had a very similar truck, but red with a 351. It was around the time of the show Truckin’ USA on TNN and he happened to look like the host Ed Bruce who I think also drove a red F250 in the show. So whenever he’d roll up without fail I’d narrate Ed’s intro. Surprised he never whooped our asses for it😂 Sadly the old man died this winter. Watch the old Truckin USA intro and see if you can’t find a way to have fun with it if you do a new intro
BUFORD ------ Great name for a hound dog AND for an ole Ford !!!
That truck looks like a FRED. Name him FRED bro😂
Awesome truck yea it's not good for batteries to sit and go dead shortens life. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Awesome! Have you checked out my channel? Have an 1978 F-150 I’m working on
Dude I got 2 cans of that bug spray you recommend!! Up in the mountains we got bugs that will eat you! I carry it in my truck
I am not sure how good it is for mosquitoes. But for gnats it’s where it’s at! This time of year it’s all I use. The gnats are terrible. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
Come on Colt, name it Mater!!!
You should not need glow plugs if the injectors are atomizing correctly. Seafoam or what ever that old girl.
Your my new favorite youtuber
Good name is “sally” or sweet Sadie”
I wouldn’t want to fix it to to nice either! Just have it reliable!
truck name: Sid. Fuckin Sid man!
Dude what are you up to????
I think you should call it “blood clot”
Gnats are bad here in SE Texas, too
Name it trusty dusty
I LOLd at the end 😂
Ruby Rumbler
I didn't know Duracell made automotive batteries, learn something new every day! One step at a time is how these projects get done. Just got a big ole step done on one of mine! Keep it up man, catch ya on the next one.
Clyde 2.0
I second Ole Redbone!
Colt man, you the best RUclipsr, hands down.
My man! Thanks big dog! 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
That's very nearly exactly what I had once upon a time. Mine was an '88 but was blue and it had the manual 5-speed transmission. Great pickup! The last few years that I had it, the glow plugs would need replacing... at some point I figure maybe half of them were working and most of them were original! If I'd had it longer, I probably would have needed to replace the glow plug solenoid. It'd be a bit cold-blooded at first, but once I warmed it up there were no issues with a restart! As others have said, replace the vacuum lines ventilation system uses and if the a/c system works right, prepare to be frozen in the cab!!!! Oh, and that 7.3 IDI diesel motor is hard to kill. You have to just about actively abuse it to kill it.
Check the passenger side firewall for vacuum connections. Had the same problem with my air vents. Simple fix.
I think a great upgrade for batteies, someone changed my cables to just eyelets instead of clamps and put industrial batteries in. So it uses a9/16 nut to keep them secure.
Big Red would be a great name! Disclaimer.....My red F350 is also aptly named Big Red!!
Name her Mary.. short for maroon. Must be some serious dorks out there if your are worried about them critiquing how you install your batteries. F’em. Cheers, Colt🍻
Call that bad Boy “Rusty Red” bad Truck Brotha
Definitely name her old glory 🇺🇸
Yeahhhhhhhh man! Loved it
Solid 🤘🏻
I don't think you have a choice but to name it Ron Burgundy...
Stay Classy
Keep the truck looking like that!
Love it! Can’t wait for more
Call her "Maroon Bells"
Keep on keepin on amigo!!!

Glow plug solenoid is a common failure. Theres quite a few videos online if you take a look, maybe it will help. They’re reasonable at Rif Raf Diesel.
Yea I thought about that or maybe doing a push button to bypass it? What you think?
@@COLTSWAY there so cheap if your 7.3 has one Id replace it. I know the 99+ engine has it but im not sure on the early IDIs. They burn out around 200k miles. Diesel tech Rons old channel has info on it. It’s a one latte job and about as easy as the battery replacement. Only needs cant do it.
Truck Name: Old Red Neck
