The clutch slave doesn't bolt on, it just clips on. I bled mine while it was off by just ramming the rammy part into the frame of the truck a few times. Then I used a wood clamp to hold the rod back so I could slide it onto the trans
Just found your channel. Cool to see your Dunlops at 12:30, was looking to see if your boots matched the name of your channel lol. Do you ever wear your coveralls over top of your Dunlops? I think they're better worn that way rather than tucking them into the boots. I prefer to have a pant leg over top of my Dunlops.
i'm not a fajigger expert but cant you hoot your whistler on to the truck so the stovepipe will comingulate the cosby sauce and bunker oiler for cold start high rev and dump chooch?. You can always light a tire on fire and throw it in the back if you require more chooching
Needs chains. If you want to save the rear housing that holds the spider gears for some reason instead of welding the spider gears together fill the gap between the gear teeth that are not touching full of weld, that way they cannot turn. It won’t be as strong as welding the whole thing but you will still at least be able to take it apart and put open gears back in it if you want to
I've got a 6.9idi in a 86 it has a tapping noise it tapping when accelerating or idling. Dose t sound like a bottom end knock. Only new injector pump and high pressure lines the injectors look good I do see number 8 leaking from the return side will be fixing that. It has blow by smokes when you open the oil cap. It leaks over night but once started it fires up easily everytime. Anything g else to look for? Could it be a injector is bad? Lifters? Saving to rebuild the 6.9 idi. Slowly buying up parts to do full rebuild.
That's something my BorgWarner T500 wouldn't do. Shift without the clutch. I snapped my clutch cable in my 93 fox body and had to start it in 4th gear and limp it home. I could not get that sucker to go into any gear when it was moving.
Ps this is my only truck I have 8 head of babies and can't afford another vehicle.... I work at a local saw mill and I farm to make enough food for my babies.....I don't have much....
Those TTB’s are a tough front end, plus they ride better then a solid axle and have more suspension travel. Ur wanting to save the worst part about the truck, the gutless 7.3 idi. In my area we pull them out, scrap them and Cummins swap them. 460 is way better then an idi. I recommend u keep that transmission it’s probably a zf5
You paid 1200 bucks for that man I remember when 500 bucks used to buy you something you could drive but for 1200 bucks come to the coast you could’ve bought a truck like that you could drive home. In 08/09 I bought an absolutely perfect mint 5 L fox body the only drawback was it had an automatic and I proceeded to blow that up and make it a stick shift car now it’s fully built with a TKO and a blower so I think I win Edit, I stand corrected you could have driven that thing home if you wanted to…badly
It’s like a Slave Lake twin, but classier since it’s got a windshield!
Don’t you ever talk about slave lake like that again. This rig a prime machine. But slave lake will fold this girl and the next one that replaces it.
@@nicholasbrady3554 lol!!
"Front diff oil has casually been replaced with ... rain oil" lmao
Naw man there's a whole lot of transmission in that fluid
I clicked so fast, I thought peg uploaded, u rascal. Still a great vid.
not sure why RUclips recommended me this but i love it
wlcome to the red neck family, i can suggest Zipties and biasplies and mullet break motorsports too. if you like UK content try Lord Muck.
If you like this legend, check out Zip Tie and Bias Plies, and Pathmaker Productions👍🏻
The old 7.3 sounds good with zoomies. Wonder how many RPM it would spin and live. Thanks for the videos.
Don't forget save those sick dopey dope rims
Looks like fun! I am building an idi race truck for the local circle track. Plan to take it mudding too.
Missed ya bud. Glad to see the winter didn't get ya down.
such a fun truck to mess with! fell in love with the exhaust system😅
Great sounding engine actually. I love how these sound like gassers at high RPMs lol!

Need to get ya a fancy camera mount like Peg so you can spray ether while jumping the starter.

I WOULD HAVE TO AGREE WITH YOU ON THE OIL,
There's three TTBs too, that one is Dana 50, half tons are Dana 44, and my F-250 has Dana 44HD.
Love the clutch is necessary to shift!!
Looks fixable( the shifter) Enjoy
awesome video keep them coming
That is the fanciest high-idle stick I've ever seen.

Sawed off pretty much made his own version of slave lake!! That’s fuckin mint!!!
That trucks in good shape. It would be a daily driver here in ohio usa. The seats not even fucked. But cant wait to see it tear some shit up
i like those tires, what are they?

Love your videos bro 👍😎
My truck is a 1986 f250 4x4 diesel super cab 6.9 idi c6. It's tapping and I'm trying to figure it out?? Any help would greatly be appreciated!
the bottom bolt on what looks like a diff cover but is a ttb beam is your drain hole
Nice
How'd i end up here?????
How big are those military tires?
Weld both front and rear difs 🙏
Good old Lincoln-Miller Locker👍🏻😁
That rear diff needs a 7018 locker
Shoulda left the exhaust shooting straight up... Other than that, top notch, top notch!
incredible
What kind of tires are those
Turn truck off, put in reverse, start truck, no clutch needed.
These diffs have a tendency to work the pinion nut loose.
AWESOME!! miss freezing my ass to the deck.... don’t miss the broken sun thing tho
"Miled-out"...now I know you've worked in the oilfield. That's an industry term...lmao
Yah son lets gooo! Ford for life!
You don’t hVe to remove balljoints on a superduty 7.3 g
To do the u joints either. Not sure about solid axle old Body I’ve never done them
I still don't understand how that idi sounds almost just like my 7.5 460 when you give it the beans... 🤔😆
Do you know if slave-lake has givin up the ghost? or still runnung?
The base model headlights aren't really worth keeping, the chrome grilles and chrome trim headlights are though.
That was fn awesome!!!!!🤘🍻
I am so looking forward to this 😍😂
What a beaut! Hahaha awesome
a 2x4 is an adjustable rod holder too bud
Dude she’s minty 🤙🏻

it can be done but the syncros have to be totally shot lol
Sawed off with the sawed off ace can
What size tires
Military 9x 16
should convince peg (not that should take to much) to revive slave lake and have a hill billy off between yous too
Why did you buy a prop rod, I would have nicked Pegs spare leg, alot cheaper, Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧
make the car i have do truck things... broke an axle, but how to fix it? hmm...
How depressing to see such snow in April.
Peg would drive it no matter the condition 👌
Ps this is my only truck I have 8 head of babies and can't afford another vehicle.... I work at a local saw mill and I farm to make enough food for my babies.....I don't have much....
always count on a 7.3 !!
Niceeee
530km=330k miles isn’t bad for a IDI saw one at a junkyard that probably ran great that had 700k on it in a 91 Uhaul truck.
Give er the beans
Part 2?
What would peg say? You don’t need a clutch lol
Slave lake mk2
Slave lakes cousin ? 🤔🤔🤔
👍👍🍻👊
Got some daves farms vibe going on... just less creepy kid diddler stuff
Daves farm? Never heard of it, thanks...i take pride in myself in not being a kid diddler
Ima be honest I got myself an old bump and stroke and I did everything except fix the leak on mine
Those wheels are mint😅
Need to drive it to wasteland weekend
Agreed...but needs a station wagon body mounted on it first
@@captaindipchit heck yes
Need to sell it to zip tie and bias plies ole pegleg

That's only 326,000 miles.. not bad..😅
Supercabs are superior, and so are EFI 460s.
I'd take the ttb any day over gm ifs of the era

So slave lake number 2 peg don’t post it anymore 😂 prob took her to the dump
Is this zip tie and pie plays wannabe... I don't know ?.. why am I thinking that?
U don't need a prop for the brakes just use pegs leg looool
That 7.3 is just singing
Dude drill a hole in the bottom of the housing let it drain tap the hole and shove a plug in it how hard is that. Come on frogs aren’t that stupid😂😂
Nothings wrong... it just fell apart.😂
You don't need a clutch lol
Those IDIs ain't worth saving, swap in an EFI 460, 35w, 12 valve Cummins, or a Powerstroke.
