For a lot of us guys as we talked about it having that feeling to be protective of them and a mission hindrance handicap because they remind us to being a sister, a wife, a girlfriend, a female friend or neighbor knowing we were the 'weak link' should they be within our ranks on the battlefield? Times sure has change and we can learn from history to bring that up to standard in the 21st Century; knowing that all women are completely capable to do what we do and in some cases even better; I've seen that for myself...

San Diego has camp Pendleton and is full of hills. The female Marines went to Paris island where the hikes are flat. The Marines were sceptical about female Marines making it on the hills. That's the reason. Of the big deal and the first picture you see on the news.
I just graduated on 10 December, 2021, and yeah, Lima Co had the first female platoon. Currently there are 2 female platoons on MCRD San Diego, one in Golf Co and Fox Co.

This is historic. They climb the "Escalator" and "Mt MotherF---ker." Women Marines were always trained at Parris Island. Now, there are Hollywood Marines. It will take time for others Marines and veterans to know this when they are asked where they went to boot camp at. Some wise guy is going to think they're not telling the truth. Congrats! Keep the tradition alive, Marines.
Unfortunately, the bar has been lowered a lot for females. The Marines have been trying to make one standard for all, but the pentagon, White House and congress has been fucking that up and meddling with the Corps for a while now.
@@mikehascats26 Very few can, which is actually a problem. I plan on joining the Marines after I graduate high school, and I'm training to meet the men's requirements instead of the woman's. If I get in running slower, and lifting less then the male recruits, I won't deserve to be there, so I'm aiming for three miles in 25 minutes or less.
The standards were indeed lowered, they removed some of the requirements to pass these tests like pullups for example because they found that over 90% of female recruits could not pass that test, now both men and women do not need to pass that test, not just that, female marines excellency will now be graded based on gender, meaning they will be in competition with other females not with males but will still earn the same scores as males based on female standards which is obviously lower compared to the male standards. You can just do a simple google to find out the new changes to the marine physical evaluation program and can thank the SJW black defense secretary and his advisor Kathleen Hicks for passing these rules. I never really seen the so-called 'weakness' of our fellow female soldiers even knowing for a fact their A-School MOS will not be infantry or any compacity for combat during my service from 1987 to 1995; Knowing they can do well just as other nations that have female combat soldiers, aviators, mechanize infantry battalions, and snipers - the one example is the Red Army of the Soviet Union that fought against the Nazis and won the war in Europe while the US won the Pacific...
Mad respect ✊
Much love to our new marines ❤
They did not "make it" .
Top brass had to lower the bar (requirements) so that women could enter. Look it up. Armed forces are getting soft because of this. Congratulations , the enemy has lost whatever little fear they had of you.
they will regret it when they get permanent hip damage
Women are strong. So proud of these recruits. Go Marines! May God bless you. So proud of them
strong huh? strong as the men?
How long do this Marine training take?
Hard core.CONGRATS...Soooo proud of u all.Thats discipline!!!!!❤
She literally said if she can do it anybody can. How is that an accomplishment if anybody can do it? Standards were lowered so much to point there are no standards. As long as they have to do the exact regimen as the men. It should be allowed, but no special treatment. A marine is a marine, nothing to do with sex.
females dont have to pass the male PT test
Then it’s not apples to apples. It should be just 1 test for men or women with no discrepancies. Either your a marine or not.
Oh hey! It’s LtCol Barilletti! He’s been there for quite a while. 😂 I remember when he came into our squad bay to do inspections.
I don't get it. There have been females in the Marines for decades now.
First females to go through bootcamp in San Diego, they have only been in Paris Island before this
Really? Did they become Marines by meeting the same standards the male recruits have to meet? Did they perform equally as the male recruits? or did you make it easier for the females just for the sake of being able to say a girl just became a Marine?
OORAAAH!! Congrats Sisters!..

Where's there RCOs? And why do the rifles look older than what we trained with in 2013
I thought women have been in the marines from the beginning of time. This news reporter is not being clear about something. Is this the first female marine infantry graduation or what?
Did you not listen to the video? 🙄 First time they’re graduating from MCRD San Diego. Before that it was always Parris Islsnd in SC.
First female Marine was 1918. This is nothing new.
Wasn't there already woman member in the marines.?
So proud of my Sisters!!!! Semper Fi!!!
So many people post how female integration bad. Most of the commentors are moto-pogs, who jumped on light duty so they wouldn't get another sub 1st class pft and rocked with pizza box with pride. Youre a paper marine or know nothing civilian. More power to these kids, they're the outcasts in this new gen and have my respect.
Lot of y’all have nothing better to do than shit on them lmao. Guaranteed they’ve got better hike scores than most pogs that go through MCT. If they can keep up with us let em stay. If not drop them. No different than with dudes
These commenters are keyboard warriors and would never enlist in any branch so they are jealously criticizing these soldiers
Ha! These female Marines are gonna have bragging rights over everyone at Paris Island! They did the reaper!
These ARE NOT the first female Marines!! Female Marines have been around since the 1940!
People are missing the point it’s not being females it that the first it happens in Diego... Ohh Rah!!! Congrats Lil Sisters keep kicking ASS!!!!

2004 Alumni of MCRD San Diego. Those hills are no joke. Several recruits don’t make it…so congratulations to these ladies. I would have liked to see MCRD remain segregated out of tradition, but no big deal. Progress is never a bad thing.
Went in Aug of 04, then Jan 06... congrats to those female DIs first one to do the course too
the problem is it's not progress they're lowering the standards so they can do it. What progress would be is if they were able to do it the same way those who came before did. That would be true progress this is a step back from what amazing leaps were already made.
weakening the Corps is not progress, white knight

So did they have the same standards or was it still different?
female PT test has lower standards
Hell yeah!!!!
I'm confused I thought girls could be Marines already can somebody help me out on what's really going on
it’s the first time female recruits graduated in MCRD San Diego. they’ve been able to in Parris Island but not san diego until now.
San Diego has camp Pendleton and is full of hills. The female Marines went to Paris island where the hikes are flat. The Marines were sceptical about female Marines making it on the hills. That's the reason. Of the big deal and the first picture you see on the news.

That’s why America and Biden is allowing entry to all the Central American migrant caravans.
What about our TG marines? Any of them make it?
I just graduated on 10 December, 2021, and yeah, Lima Co had the first female platoon. Currently there are 2 female platoons on MCRD San Diego, one in Golf Co and Fox Co.

So long as the bar wasn't lowered during tests or inspections, this is something to be celebrated!
females dont have to pass the male PT test
Unfortunately, the bar has been lowered a lot for females. The Marines have been trying to make one standard for all, but the pentagon, White House and congress has been fucking that up and meddling with the Corps for a while now.
@@mikehascats26 well yeah cause they’re females even that the male pt standard isn’t even that hard either
@@jonathanortega1756 are you saying all females can pass the male pt test?
@@mikehascats26
Very few can, which is actually a problem. I plan on joining the Marines after I graduate high school, and I'm training to meet the men's requirements instead of the woman's. If I get in running slower, and lifting less then the male recruits, I won't deserve to be there, so I'm aiming for three miles in 25 minutes or less.
Good job ladies!
Talk about weakening the military for ideological goals, election has consequences folks.
and females will be promoted easier because the officers are woke
