Hey Mike. These are the type of videos I really enjoy. Old school stories. I'm 79 and started driving trucks when I was sixteen. I retried in 1999. When I was 21, I got my Chauffeur's license, no CDLs back in the day, and in 1965 got my first job driving a tractor-trailer at Wooster Express. My uncle taught me how to drive, no schools back then too.
Happy 4 th. What grandsons doing up here. In Alaska. This month clean up all rigs with drivers. We have long winter here. In Barron, so any rust is first to get attention, all hoses wires and batteries get 2nd attention, 3rd if time on any rig gets painted or shine look. Aluminum is great lighter, but salt a killer. Rear wheels are steal we get rims and when new take off. And clear coat wheel. And frames. Anything on frame is clear coated. 4 coats. Something we learn yrs ago When trucks are built. They are 1 step paint. We learn are equipment new and used. Goes in our shop take apart an all is clear coated. Might take more time put rig on road but I still run my 1983 359 Yea I’m 77 yrs old so I run a few days a week. Sons run company , but pretty is nice but we learn better. 45 rigs on front line to go. From a 1983 to 2024 trucks. An we have little rust. On underside of them is main concerns
Great seeing your two friends there again and hearing some history of there years in the industry. Enjoy your trip over Europe Mike. I went there to the places you mentioned in 2006 and enjoyed my time there.
Hey BostonTrucker...how cool was this?? Seeing "Big Bunk" Dave (once again) and Doug (for the first time)...two incredibly wonderful (and professional) truckers. Their stories and passion are unsurpassed. Your interviews (like these) could "go on forever", they are that good...interviews are where you really "shine" (aside from your beautiful new truck!!!). "Peace and 🌟Polish🌟"
im amazed that the dummy stack doesnt annoy u mike.maybe someday when the other stack that works starts 2 show its wear and tear and the drivers one still shines it might, lol.enjoy ur time on vacay with the family u earned it buddy.
Great video Mike And thanks for all the work and time you spent to make this beautiful videos thank you I enjoyed watching this old school drivers nothing like A year ago
Only thing I would of done different is paint the stainless cover on the def tank red, then it would look like the other tanks red face with black caps
Mike not sure if you read these comments, but i have the Stryker 447 and i run a ranger 198 mic and my echo knobs back knob all the way to the right and center knob about 10. O'clock .... I get excellent reports back all the time ... I know its small but its a big talker you'll be surprised !!! Dont let anyone work on it just talk on it you'll like it .... Keep mic gain turned all the way to the right when you get the ranger 198 mic .... Stock mic is ok but really like the ranger 198 mic ten 4 buddy
You sure did stand your ground on that Auto trans BS my hat is off to you Mike get your fill of all the culinary goodies while your over there you will have to diet when you return home
Rhode Here 😊 excellent videos as usual 😊 . The trucks are a. 10 plus , Need a Tony And Anthony Video , And if the other crew wants 😅 on the new Rides , Get the corvette it in it 😅
Have you thought about painting the inside of the fenders with rubber paint? It's like the non skid, bed liner paint. That way the rocks bounce off, thus not putting dents in the fenders. Show Car guys use it for fenders, I'm going to use it on my 32 Ford fenders. Sorry off hand I don't know the name of it, have to Google it. Beautiful truck!!
Hey Boston trucker how are you doing today my friend so is your new truck today I love watching our RUclips videos they are very educational videos so how can I get my trucking license up north in Canada 🇨🇦
He'll Mike. The trucks look awesome. I was just wondering if you plan on installing strobe lights on your new ride for when you do over sized loads with the lowbed?
Mikey a watermelon light between the duals on the full fenders as a directional would be a nice touch and tell me those hodgebuilt fenders don’t smoke those old coragated ones like on the t800 I’d put some rubber strips where the low bed neck supports are gonna touch the frame
Hey mike great looking truck, after you get the stryker cb going can you let me know what you think of it? I have one in my cart at Wolcott, but I would like to know what you think of it
My son bought his Stryker from Walcott Radio website. Had it tuned before they shipped it. That thing is a beast he is very happy with it. I hate to say but it puts my galaxy dx to shame.

Red button on seat is for the seat bottom heat and the black one is for the seat back heat.....safe travels
Good to know.
Reds heat on-off. Blacks hi-low

Great idea!
Enjoy your trip Mikey.

Nice guys , Nice truck ( little too much “spaghetti “ IMO. The red looks good alone , But Congrats 👌
I just realized I know Doug from his days parking at Bolkema Fuel in Mahwah NJ back in the 80's.
That's wild! I'll make sure he sees this.
LOL two new trucks sitting in the shop. Hope it’s not a sign of there future. Both trucks are very sharp and a privilege to drive.
They're going to be running non stop!
@@TheBostonTrucker I hope so. Have a great trip.

Are you going to prove & establish your Manhood by participating in The Running of the Bulls ceremony in Spain
I've already proven my manhood by almost quitting my job over the threat of an automatic trans.
You sure did stand your ground on that Auto trans BS my hat is off to you Mike get your fill of all the culinary goodies while your over there you will have to diet when you return home
Mike your going to need a bouncer with you at truck shows to pat people down before getting near the truck so they don’t scratch it 😂😂😂
My anxiety was high as Dave was leaking on it so I know you're right. 😜
Great video as always safe travels Mike !!!
Thanks Peter 👍

Have a safe trip and Vacation
Thank you
All good...But that 6 spd. auto though.....!
I know I know
Good lookin trucks... what kind of box is that on the frame behind the cab i need one of those
would it be possible to line the underneath of the fenders with mud flap material or something similar to avoid stones making dimples in it?
Duro liner would be the way to go.
Hey Boston trucker how are you doing today my friend so is your new truck today I love watching our RUclips videos they are very educational videos so how can I get my trucking license up north in Canada 🇨🇦
Thank you, I'm not sure how things are done in Canada.
scroll /spaghetti the tanks they need it. A lot of red.
👍
Keep the stock stacks classic look.
I like when you have Doug on your channel. That is one cool dude! Salute to all 3 of you. 🫡
🤙
He'll Mike. The trucks look awesome. I was just wondering if you plan on installing strobe lights on your new ride for when you do over sized loads with the lowbed?
I forgot to mention there are hidden strobes, two by the headlights and inside the air cleaners.
@@TheBostonTrucker I remember now. I forgot about the ones in your air cleaners. Great use of space. Thanks. Safe trucking and enjoy your trip.
I can not find those lights under TRUCKS ACCESSORIES can give me another source. Thanks

Yes I completely agree!
Awesome video Mike. Where in Jersey was your friend from?
If the truck can't blow smoke then the dummy stack doesn't really make any visual difference
It's all about visuals.
No smoke either stack

Everytime you say you dont plan on making a video one week they all come out awesome. Thanks @TheBostonTrucker.
And a stack fake 😂
Get both of them deleted
Okay
Good way to enjoy the day after with that crazy guy that talks funny
Love the new K Dub
Appreciate that my friend.
A wise man says when you dump a trailer and it looks a bit shaky Up is out Down is over
So if it looks like it’s going to tip floor the throttle and get it up so it won’t go over
Some guys here in California spray the bottom side of the full fenders with rhino x bed liner to help keep the rock dings to a minimum
I should have done that
