Light of The World

Spent some time with our 9th Grade Boys Life Group and our project was to dig into a few songs to find the meaning of the lyrics.
My project turned into writing a song. Please forgive the rough video editing, I used my phone. As for the music, it is a work in progress and many hours learning midi instruments and playing the guitar. All music is of my own creation.
Song's inspiration came from the Sermon on the Mount
Jesus went up into the mountain and when He was set, his disciples came and He taught them. ( Sermon on the mount) ...
Matthew 5:14: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.15: Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.16: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven

Thank you very much. I just love playing music. I have been trying to get better and stop playing the same old tunes over and over. Hope to see you soon!

Did you record this at church? Write the lyrics and music? I think it’s a great song !

Actually I woke up one night with a tune in my head and started writing down everything I could remember. Grabbed the guitar the next day and started figuring out the music. I used my computer and keyboard to build in the flutes, oboe, violin and choir. All recording was done at home. I made the RUclips video to share the lyrics for our team in hopes that we would play the song at church one day.
