The show did a GREAT job with the ending of this episode! It had us SHOOK. Our discussion afterward was fueled with anger at the death of Siddiq so please be gentle with hurling anger towards us for this on lol. That being said: What did you think?
Glad Siddiq is gone. Do a flip!
Akash Samson Carl didn’t die for nothing, come on man. Negan was allowed to live, Negan was then Able to save Judith’s life during the winter storm, Siddiq managed to apprentice Enid who was therefore able to save Aaron’s life, he had baby Coco and The community had a doctor for years
I don’t want to spoil anything, but the opening minutes to the next episode was uploaded and they answer some of your questions. No need for damage control, I appreciate your genuine reactions. If we disagree we should all try to make our case without being a turd sandwich.
Carl died for this ...the baby Siddiq impregnated Rosita will lead them in the future
I think it was an incredibly good episode. It's super interesting to think about how Dante has been tricking people into drinking this contaminated water. When these people become sick now, he will be the only doctor watching over them and will be killing people while destroying their community from the inside. He was preying on Siqqiq's unstable nature while was the result of his own actions. I absolutely love the direction they went with this episode.

@@trinililbit12345 no deadface their ass is fine :) lol
They foreshadowed Dante being a whisperer since the premiere. When Siddiq stared at Dante's lips it triggered flashbacks from the barn scene. I think Dante realized and snapped him out of it with the "kiss me already" comment.
Lmfao and I thought that he was gay
ツTiffany STAN ATEEZ for a moment I did to
Actually the flashbacks were already happening, his presence just made the stronger.
“Dante’s a good guy”
*3 seconds later*
“DANTE’S NOT A GOOD GUY!!!!!”
Siddiq was tripping all this time because he knew subconsciously that that Dante was there when Alpha and her gang attacked. He recognized his voice. His mind kept bringing him back to that barn because it was trying to alert him to the danger right next to him.
Plus Dante kept making that clicking noise that would trigger him.
“I really like siddiq he’s like one of my favorite new characters”
Me-😳
“I hope Siddiq doesn’t kill Dante” 😭😭🤣
Dante was the whisperer who force Sidiq to watch the beheading of everyone
On the next episode we will see more about Dante
Yeah, the sneak peek kinda spoiled how it happened.
@@MacGuffinExMachina yeah, I hope Daryl beats the crap out of him
I hope next episode, Michonne will be the one to behead Dante.
Thank you for stating the obvious for over 100 morons plus the Normies who apparently needed it..Do you people even watch the screen, or is it an IQ issue? smh..
@@mannylugz5872 would be nice but spoilers are put on what happens to Dante
I feel like everyone forgets that even whisperers had lives before the apocalypse.
"Siddiq is my new favorite character." AAAAND, He's gone!
That ending was so good.. and so sad!
Dante was being 100% genuine when he said 'You're my friend' and 'I'm Sorry', he has gotten to know Siddiq for a while and built a real relationship with him. Everything he was saying about how their community works and how everyones there for each other, he realizes that... but once Siddiq put the pieces together about Dante and realized who he was.. Dante couldnt let him leave. He said 'I didn't want this... not you!' and he meant it... damn :(
Michael Cudlitz did a great job directing this!
He made the dude watch his friends be beheaded. I highly doubt he cares.
Seduction Productions And we have negan who did what he did. So...it’s possible for Dante.
@@d3l3tes00n lol forgetting negan bashed Glenn and Abraham's head in? Okay cool I guess
@@aeris44 Negan isn't poisoning them & has had 7 years. Intent & context matter.
Seduction Productions And Dante showed a tad bit more guilt in the actual killing than negan did for years. There’s your context for ya. Don’t just throw words around.
Look, I want Dante dead. But it’s definitely clear he had some guilt or sort of mental struggle with the situation from what he said.
Siddiq lived over 8 years after Carl saved him, he treated many people, he trained Enid who treated still more (and saved Aarons life), he had a daughter and argued for the communities to reunite after Michone split them up, he even gave a pretty good speech after the whisperers made him watch them kill the others...I'd hardly say Carl died for nothing.
Didn't Dante tell Sadiq he was a combat medic in the "Ghosts" episode? As a combat medic myself, I can see one going psycho. Especially if they've seen combat, there's a level of empathy you have to learn to shut off. That might also explain why he stays soo loyal to the Whisperers, even after seeing how well Alexandra can work. He can't betray his "brothers" and Alpha. He's just a soldier following orders.
Thanks for sharing that perspective. I always thought if he was a whisperer than why not just stay with the group after all the stuff you've seen in Alexandria but your reasoning makes sense. He's just following orders. I'm interested to see what they'll do with him in the next episode. He killed off that other whisperer so it's likely he'll be in that cell next. I know one thing, it seems highly unlikely that fans will get the comic book romance arc with Maggie with this path he's on. I just don't see any redeeming of his character after all that crap he did.
@@CutieHoney13 I suspect Negan has a higher body count, & he's getting a redemption arc, so....
He was not a combat medic, he was an animal doctor
@@tabbypappy Yes for sure it seems Negan is the one who is getting the redemption arc. I'm excited for that. Also excited to see what's next after alpha falls because her time seems to be coming soon. If you've watched the latest Talking Dead for the mid season finale, you'll notice Samantha Morton's hair is starting to grow back. That might signify that her character has been "Lucille'd." I haven't read the comics ever but I hear tidbits every now and then.
Michael Cudlitz has directed multiple episodes this wasn’t the first
Salty Soda Can this is his 2nd time
@@shogunassassin9071 3rd actually as far as I know. He directed one last season (the episode where Rosita was escaping from the Whisperers with the creepy camera shaking) and he directed two this season (the episode where the tree fell and broke Hilltop's wall, and now this episode.

19:00 made me laugh so hard cause of the timing
Yeah me too knowing what I knew.
Earlier this season siddiq was staring at Dante’s mouth cause he recognized it from the barn, and in a sneak peek they showed how Dante got in, plus it’s been clear that Dante didn’t know what he was doing as a doctor
My question is why risk revealing yourself to Siddiq by working so closely with him? Dante could have messed Alexandria up so bad if he took up another job and messed around with the water supply, food storage, etc.
MonarchVincent he didn’t try and reveal himself Sid found out
@@pretzelpop78 That's not what I said... I asked, "why RISK revealing himself to Siddiq by working so closely with him?" He basically set himself up to be discovered by Siddiq
MonarchVincent We don’t know that yet. Maybe his goal was to eventually kill siddiq. Many people are already saying he was gonna kill siddiq in that room whether he found out or not cause of him locking the door and spoilers etc. so In the end he HAD to work closely with him. Also because Siddiq was slowly getting his memories back Dante started to watch him more in case he did find out so then Dante could kill him. It was a matter of time so he had to be close
MonarchVincent I think it was to monitor Siddiq as well as maybe monitor Lydia if Alpha even told Dante about her but also b/c doctors are supposed to help ppl and be friendly and not kill anyone so there wouldn’t be any suspicion
Alpha specifically chose Dante because Lydia doesn't recognize him, and yes Alpha already told Dante that Lydia was alive so he didn't freak when he saw her. Also Dante said he was a field medic before the apocalypse, so the rant at the end was unjustified lol.
How Dante got into Alexandria is answered in the next episode.
Nathan C ruclips.net/video/An9184lDY_c/видео.html
@Nathan C No. Its not like that. The scene answers that question and why Lydia didnt notice him. Just wait till next EP. They wrap this "plot hole" up nice and neat.
There's something else that needs to be answered. How did Lydia not recognize Dante when she recognized one of the watchers of Alpha's horde?
@@dwnkaomwn3953 Because Dante joined the Whisperers after Lydia left.

That's assuming that Dante wasn't lying about his past.
@@lollypop2414
Even if he wasn't an army medic, he probably at least had some medical training along the way. You don't put a spy into a role they can't do. Good enough to keep around, but good enough to play an acceptable level of incompetence.
@@cardellkenith The best lies are based on the truth, they at least need to look like they know what they're doing. For example throwing a baker into a medic role wouldn't work and any kind of medic in the old world would be good enough to get into the infirmary, thereby learning what peoples physical weaknesses are.
I loved this reaction, It's like everyone's doubt about Dante disappeared only a few seconds before it was revealed that he was a Whisperer.
I've seen a lot of people say this makes Carl's death pointless but technically Carl died mostly for Negan and he didn't die for nothing. Siddiq was a valuable asset to the communities for nearly a decade in comparison Carl didn't even last in the apocalypse for more than 2 or 3 years along with many other major characters. Siddiq had offspring, saved lives, was there to save Negan, and Negan was there to save Judith and Dog in the snowstorm. He contributed a lot, sad to see him go but he definitely honored Carl like he promised he would.
Its kind of adorable seeing someone go so into denial about Dante 😅
The mask they found at the beginning of the season was Dante's
Alpha turned him into the ultimate mix of sabotage for the drinking water and psychological warfare for the doctor so he couldnt properly help the sick victims
Jared Devan Michonne cut the front of the walker’s face off, skull included. What RJ found was a whisperer mask, no bones just skin. The 2 things weren’t related.
Next episode you’ll find out how he got in there and all the the things he did.
He twisted the lever to make it look like the water was still being filtered. He deliberately poisoned the one Whisperer to keep him from seeing Lydia. For all we know, last season he might have been the guy who helped get the ten victims out of the Kingdom with Alpha.
Ive known he was a whisperer since the start of the season, it was obvious
Were the episodes leaked?
0:14 I wasn't looking at the screen and I legit thought someone was shooting at me lol
Dante could have been a doctor before being a whisperer I mean they weren't born like that 😂
There's no making sense outta cult members. If Alpha got in, then more than one coulda came in.
"Siddiq is freaking the fuck out"
Yeah cause he just realized Dante is a WHISPERER lol.
How do they not get from the tick tick sound that Dante is the whisperer holding Saddiq down ..lol

That DEFinitely caught me off guard, with Dante. Sooo tragic, especially when you think of it in terms of pretty much prolonging what now seemed like the inevitable. Siddiq being murdered in that way, choked by the very same Whisperer who held him in the same headlock, just reinforced the idea (the feeling) that it’s as if he never really left that barn.
He even said it, “it’s like I’m still there.”
Sure, he got to spend some more time with his baby girl but all the while still enduring the trauma and effects of the P.T.S.D. (the memories). When you look at it that way it was just prolonged suffering, only to be killed by the SAME Whisperer. Damn, this entire season was just a stay of execution for him, smdh. Poor Siddiq
Dante was the one who messed with the water system.
The opening of next weeks episode explains how Dante got in there. It's online already.
I love the discussion between you guys and your process of trying to figure things out. Epic
The opening moments of 10X8 answers most of the questions on how he infiltrated the community and that Lydia has never seen Dante's face. I'm so glad the writers and showrunner realized there would be lingering questions and to address them immediately next episode.
The worse thing for me was realizing most, if not all the pike victims were killed in front of Siddiq. I thought they were killed during their fight back at the whisperers and watching the beheadings of their corpses would have been bad enough for Siddiq. But to have each victim killed in front of him and he being helpless to do anything about it makes Siddiq's PTSD more believable. he had to have seen those deaths played over in his mind daily.
That walker whisper in prison was an amazing actor! I'll say it everytime lol. I need to know his name.
Probably a thespian
James Parks
Rana’s one of those girls that looks at a crazy guy and says to herself,”I can change him”...lol
Carl saved Siddiq
Siddiq saved Negan
Negan saved Judith
Negan May save the community
Another doctor could have been introduced to save Negan. Other than being a doctor, Sadiq was not that great of a character for Carl to be killed off.
Dante did seem pretty sad about having to take out Saddiq.
I'm watching your season 10 reactions 4 years later and just cracking up at your reactions. You said, "I really like Dante!" and I'm like "oh you're going to regret that." 😂
The Dante reveal completely went over there heads
The Whisperers did have lives before the Zombie Apocalypse guys. Lol
Love the shout out to Bear Mccreary. He's been doing TWD since episode 1. He also did God of war 4 and Battlestar Galactica
Karl didn't die for nothing bringing in Siddiq. Gotta keep in mind the time jump. We didn't get to see it, but Siddiq was a valuable member of Alexandria for literally years.
next episode will clarify stuff for you guys considering the opening minutes that have been released
Siddiq was a Doctor for over 7 years and has a legacy (Coco) thats what Carl died for.
Just to let you know guys all your questions about how Dante got inside Alexandria will be answering in the mid-season finale next week
I'm beyond heartbroken.. just in shock beyond belief not just cuz Dante is a whisper but to take out Siddiq like that.. CoCo doesn't get to kno her biological father now.. not even photos just stories.. Carl was the last death to hit me like this.. this got me
Dante came in with Alpha during the fair. He was in the barn with Alpha and stayed when Alpha left! Come on yall.....you can't be that slow to get it! Hahaha!
I'm tired of people saying that Carl "died for no reason". Yea he died saving Siddiq, but Carl died for the belief that the community should look to the future and help people, which means bringing in Siddiq. Carl helping Siddiq was symbolic of that.
possibly the reason why saddiq felt like he never left was that he kept hearing the voice that had forced him to watch. his mind kept linking it without saddiq realising, trying to warn him of danger. at least i like that explanation.
I'm a bit confused why Aaron hasn't said anything as I'm pretty sure he saw gama contaminating the stream with Walker guts. Like, that's important information
Jennifer Brown it seems like it probably wasn’t a big deal for him since they have filtration systems that can clean the water anyway as evident when siddiq fixed the filtration valves. So Aaron probably didn’t think it would have been a problem considering to his knowledge their filtration system is working.
Aaron hasn’t said anything because he knows they have a water filter, but it turned out the water filter was messed up
Lmfao Omg Suraj... they were spelling it out that Dante was the Whisperer that held Siddiq's eyes open and Suraj is like "Nope Dante's a good guy" 😂😂😂
The Denial of the Guy in the Red Shirt is Craaazy! lol
Dante trained to be a doctor, he has been in alexandria for months. Since episode 15, when Rosita didnt even have a baby bump so it was a long time ago
Just wanted to add that just because someone is a doctor doesnt mean they cant be psychos. In actual real life doctors have knowingly murdered people and even mass murder (quick google search will show you that) so even if Dante is a doc which Idk he is, doesnt mean he couldn't be totally insane.. Intelligence doesnt mean sound minded
Chris and Marketa's scarfs are on fleek! 🔥
wait you guys got a Elite Force H8R Gen2 ? does it shoot well ? it has a adjustable Hop Up :O
"Miles to go before I sleep" is from a Robert Frost poem.
How did Lydia recognize the prisoner guy but not Dante? Did I miss something.....?
BlueCarp if you read any of the other comments in the corner section you would realize oh they said there is a clip of the beginning of next episode that explained everything, or you can wait till next episode to find out
Dante said in an earlier episode that he came from the Hilltop to give an extra hand. I always knew Dante was shady.
I don't think it is all that unusual for a doctor to be a whisperer. Dante was a physician "prior" to the apocalypse in the military. Remember the story he told Saadiq about his mental issues after being deployed? He was already effed up from life prior to zombies and prime to fall for Alpha's mindset.
Bro Marketas face when Surj was like "Siddiq is one of my favorite new characters" LMAOOOO BRO THAT WAS PRICELESS
Ya'll gotta remember that Dante didn't just join the whisperers once you see when he joined. From Henry's death to now is over a year.
Marketa looking at the camera when Suraj was talking about Siddiq because she was spoiled on Siddiq's death was hilarious.
Rosita and Siddiq weren’t together anymore she chose Gabriel.
but she was about to kiss sadiq when they where talking in bed but she started coughing.
She had a baby by Siddiq. She was in a relationship with Gabriel.
You guys recognize that Gamma is Thora Birch?!
Carl died to save Siddiq.... A DOCTOR. Who lived for 8 years and treated everyone in the community for that time and he is also brought another life into the world.... Carl did NOT die to make Siddiq immortal!!
Great reactions! Siddiq and Dante are both comic book characters, though. Dante has a very different role in the comics, mostly revolving around Maggie. That's why a lot of comic book readers were surprised when he took such a different, dark turn here. And yes, next week's episode opens with a flashback about Dante, so at the very least, Angela Kang & team anticipated viewers' questions about plot holes. If this were a Gimple season, we wouldn't even address how Dante entered into our heroes' community.
The doctor was the one I kinda figured out. He was projected to be a weird character while talking amongst the people in the community. And there were plenty of scenes him distributing the water to the patients while Siddiq was away.
And it makes sense how he got into Alexandria, think about it Alpha broke into the Kingdom by herself so it makes sense that she could of taught Dante how to get inside Alexandria.
We all know Alpha is one clever leader, so not really surprised there was a spy inside the community the whole time!
The hemlock was used by Arab physicians for a variety of maladies including joint pain, and they used it before surgeries for anesthesia .....
a little of it does not hurt, but a lot of it will kill you in a painful way.
Dante gave an overdose of hemlock to a whisper prisoner then Put the blame on Siddiq.
You guys had very fair questions this episode. Pay close attention next episode, things will make more sense.
Don’t forget too, Dante told a story about being a medic in the military. That may have been true pre-apocalypse, and he could have gotten his initial psychopathy then.
There were so many hints from the very first episode. Also, he was a war medic so I wouldn't call him a psycho, but just someone who has experienced a lot of trauma and is under alphas influence. We also dont know much about him sooo... Oh and why is he sneaking into Alexandria a surprise, I mean I doubt everyone there knows everyone, and dont they get new people coming in there like every month.
Carl did not die for nothing. Siddiq saved many lives for nearly a decade after Carl's death. If it weren't for Siddiq, Negan would've died at the end of Season 8, among with saving many lives as a doctor. So, Carl did not die for nothing. Also, next week's episode will explain how Dante arrived in Alexandria.
I think Dante is a new member of the whisperers and there will be a backstory next week on Dante.so that's why Lydia does not know him.
Remember Judith found a walker face skin in the stuff RJ collected on the beach
Don’t even trip Chris I was just like tf my boy wilding but I wasn’t tripping on you. I thought we were all adults? Lol love y’all
i got the impression that dante didnt want to kill siddiq until siddiq heard the clicks of the tounge which is like a habit where it happens every now and then but i did not take it as dante full intention to go kill him
This was a very good episode and shocking. My question how long that doctor have been polluting Alexandria with other things? Or giving Alpha many details about Alexandria? Is this why shes sending small herds? Cause shes weakening them by poisoning them and internal stress. Shes pretty much worse than Negan and The Governor lol
"No, he's putting him in a sleeper hole, he's fine. Siddig is freaking the fuck out."
1 second later..
"Wait, what?"
maybe he was a doctor already before he was a whisperer....
The prisoner knew him and said he was willing to sacrifice himself for Alpha. So Dante poisoned him.
I don’t think Dante was a whisperer for long. Also Dante prob legit grew to like sidiq.
A lot of ppl were angry, but this was a good episode and it was realistic, nobody saw Sidiq's death coming, it wasn't announced or anything. Siddiq blacking out, made for real suspicion. Also PTSD is not the easy to get over, talking to others that go thru it is the only thing that really helps.
Dante being a Whisperer was made obvious in the scene. Dante’s tongue click was Siddiq’s trigger of remembering the Whisperer who forced him to open his eyes and watch his friends die. Y’all need to see that scene again because y’all are the only ones who struggled to get it LOL.
Dante explained his story to Siddiq in one of the previous episodes. He had previous experience in the medical field.
They have a filtration system, they shouldn't be worried about walkers in the river. (I'm sure it happens on occasion.) That's why Aaron didn't think much about it. They didn't know about the man inside though, that's the twist they couldn't for see. Dante put the levers upside down so there drinking water was swapped with water for farmland (Not so pure) and vice versa
Basically alphas plan was to send him over there to spy on them and he was a doctor and that’s how alpha found out they crossed the border, and when siddiq heard the click that was Dante as a whisper holding his eyes open
10:13 that look from Marketa, knowing Siddiq dies 😂 killed me off 😂😂
Dante was mainly following Siddiq we dont know how much of a doctor he really is, we also dont know for how long he has been a whisperer, he is most likely a new addition since Lydia doesnt know him, he could have been a doctor before
In that moment when Siddiq asked Dante he’s not what? I am pretty sure he was going to say I’m not a doctor which is what I think Dante will tell Daryl next episode.
You should have considered that Dante was the one holding Siddiq during the slaughter. And from that day, a winter has passed, that could have been a few months already. Thats enough time for Dante to mingle with everyone. In a convo with Dante and Siddiq in an earlier episode, Dante said he was a medic before the apocalypse. People should be keen to little things. In the mid-season finale, they will show how Dante was able to penetrate Alexandria, how he killed Sheryl, how he messed up the filter for the water, how he killed the whisperer prisoner so that he cannot see Lydia, etc. The whisperer mask found on the shore in episode 1 might be Dante’s, as well as the skin Magna and company found in the woods.
I’m happy how angry the normies were about the ending. This is how amazing shows work, getting a reaction from their audience, the audience wanting more, and making a connection with characters and how much they cared for Siddiq’s death.
They’re openly shitting on the episode cause they didn’t understand or pay attention, how does that make you happy
Lol Chris you don’t need to apologize 😂
Was to funny to see the rana's pior heart being manipulated by the whispper and his bread hahaha
32:34 errr..Siddiq *was* a comic book character though. And if memory serves me correctly, he survives til the end of the series.
Lmao Suraj was in denial during the whole Siddiq death scene
If he was telling the truth Dante was a field surgeon for the military or something like that. And in a story sense viewers and characters will be more trusting of a doctor. He flew under the radar for the most part.
RIP Siddiq.
It's been confirmed on "Talking Dead" that Siddiq is gone.
TRIVIA: In the comics Dante was a good man and he even became Maggie's love interest years after Glen was killed.
Bear McCreary also did music for Battlestar Galactica. Seriously, you need to watch that show : )
