After all this time listening to you go over each god and referencing the 'Lucky Drunk' each time, finally learning that he's a god because of a bet is the funniest thing. Also, hell yeah, I love that he sponsors orphanages. Maybe in Golarian, I would have been a Cailean, too.
Excellent. Currently playing a gnome bard who worships and follows Cayden Cailean. This has given me more useful background to work into my role play. Thank you for this edition.
I also seem to recall that many of His followers use the expression "By the light of the Starstone!" to denote wild surprise, despite not actually knowing if the Starstone is supposed to glow or not.
Of any dnd or pathfinder deity I find him the most humourous of all apotheosises given he basically makes drunken bet next time he wakes up with both a hangover and divine powers wondering what happened the previous night least how I imagine it going
I very much appreciate the passion & work you have put in, keep it up. A few unsolicited pointers (1. Do edits it sometimes seems dry or like you need to wet your whistle while you talk. 2. Sometimes it seems like your reading from a script you wrote.)
From a meta point, it's either Asmodeus because he's too similar to DND Asmodeus or Calistria because Azrani has her vengeance domain in addition to Paizo becoming more censorious concerning sex stuff so they would axe the god of horny to wash their hands.
I like your meta-analysis, but I just have my doubts that the meta is playing into it all that much. For one thing, we know Asmodeus is safe because of the Godsrain Prophecies. We also know from Paizo's statements that they've been toying with the idea of killing this deity since before the OGL fiasco. So it seems unlikely that IP could be a driving concern. I think there could be something there with Calistria, since you're absolutely right about Paizo walking back the NSFW stuff in Golarion. That said, I feel like her death would be very odd from a storytelling perspective. Most players wouldn't really notice her absence, but elf players would have their only representation in the Core 20 eliminated. Narratively, she's both too impactful and not impactful enough.
i don't know why but it just is what it is. Cayden is my absolute most hated god and his existent gives me negative enjoyment of the Lore. i believe my hate comes from the "Accidental" god and "Lucky Drunk".
Hey, to each their own. My least favorite core deity is Lamashtu, but a ton of people like her. So, is Cayden your hope for the dead god in War of Immortals?
@@Podfinder Realistically i believe Cayden will survive. those i believe that might be the one who dies are: Calistria, Desna, Erastil, Iomedae, Lamashtu, or Urgathoa. and i'm leaning on it being one of the more good ones like the death is more of a selfless sacrifice. i only include Lamashtu, and Urgathoa because they basically are enemies with everyone and with that a high chance to die. it's kind of funny, Lamashtu is one of my favorite, not because the personality but the untapped potential that her portfolio holds. (my absolute favorite is Shelyn) Edit: we know the replacement god so we can speculait from her portfolio and domains on which one who dies, Arazni can realistically replace Urgothoa as an Undead diety and give undeads redemption (i much more prefer Undeads being beings of pure evil infused with "Antimatter" (being evil doesn't mean you want to kill but that you gain pleasure from others misfortune))
@@theprinceofawesomeness It's funny, Shelyn is my favorite in the Core too, though she will be upstaged by Arazni as soon as she joins the Core Twenty. My current theory is that Zon-Kuthon will get the axe, being killed by Desna and Sarenrae in retribution for attacking Shelyn. This would cause Shelyn to break up with her girlfriends and take on an aspect of grief or pain. That said, I have no idea what role Arazni would fill after her greater ascension.

Thanks! Giving people more tools to enjoy their roleplay is all I want from these videos.
To quote my halfling rogue “ My stupid God makes me drink disgusting beer.”
22:53 I like the Around the World in 80 Drinks you made 😂 a super fun idea.
Also: SO excited for Arazni!!!
I see you saved the best of the core 20 for last.
i'm SO excited for next week. arazni is my favorite god in the setting, and i was hoping you might do a secret 21st episode

Love Cayden Cailean, good dude. Total bro. Good to see you finally got around to hi- HEY MY GIRL ARAZNI IS UP NEXT! HELL YEAH!
one of the truest homies

I now officially ship Cayden Cailean and Trudd

I've got a cat named a kid named thunder for the same reason. Was this lore also written by a child? 😂
If you're going to talk shit, at least make a coherent sentence.

To each his own i guess
