Soulpreacher - Worship (Demo; 1998) [Sludge/Doom Metal]

From Raleigh, North Carolina, Soulpreacher was driven from the ashes of the band Forsaken. This debut demo shows off the bands early sound focused primarily on raw, hateful, s l o w and sludge-ridden doom. The opening groovy bass line sets the stage for whats to come as swamp-toned guitars begin riffing away while the vocalist howls out tales of pain... The band takes minimalistic riffs and makes em crushing like Electric Wizard but they also have the same southern and hardcore influences as certain New Orleans-based bands. The band's sound grew darker, and more melancholic with each release.
