As a game dev who was also in charge of the camera-terrain collision logic in my project, and had been playing other major games to see how they solved when the player-camera raycast was clipped, I totally see what you get lol. To convince the team so I can implement the camera collision avoidance logic, I had to film some video clips from GTA5 myself and had to show them to my colleagues. Alpha-blending out the character when the cam gets too close to the player brings another thin layer of 'detail' works to the backlog. But it's quite fun to implement such details from the character shader to the game camera logic.

The devs need to finally learn making the smooth transition for character's WASD animations. I hate these snappy movements whenever you change direction.
It’s because to make it smoother they need to do extra animation frames, which has the downside of making the movement feel laggy and less responsive. And better feeling movement trumps better looking movement.
I'm quite the opposite. I hate these "smooth transition animations" that people love to put in their games where the character takes half a second everytime you change directions.

@@dieshorus3192 I get what you're saying, I don't like input-action delay as well. Many games have this jelly-feel in order to make room for realistic animations. But that's not my solution. I'm not talking about changing the control over your character at all, only about animations. Even default Unreal Engine dummy does turn smoothly even though your controls get instant response. Yes, there is a tiny "slide" thing happening during its first step, but it's nothing compared to instantaneous 180 snap which completely ruins immersion. If you think it's impossible to make smooth animations without turning controls into sluggish RDR2-like swamp-esque crap, then check a video called: "Animation Bootcamp: An Indie Approach to Procedural Animation". It's a great example. You control your character's collider (a sphere or cylinder) and the animation follows. The collider never waits for the animation, but it does have its own inertia. It just requires extra attention and time.

played the beta and had a blast had some issues with crashing first couple of boot ups trying to get through the tutorial but it did give me the opertunity to try all three really liked how the ice mage fit my play style lots of powerful aoe attacks that allowed me to keep my distance

Really hated this game in alpha testing. Played the beta and was pleasantly surprised at the progress they made. The game feels, looks, and plays a lot better now. It's definitely on my wishlist now

I just finished farming out my 4th base descendant in Valby and my 2nd U.descendant in U.Lepic. i havent spent a penny, not even the battle pass. I dont even have any of the free shop stuff, by my own choice, since I dont like the way they implemented monetization. It is possible to enjoy a f2p game without paying money and also taking a stance against monetization. Hurt THEIR wallet, not yours.

Hope Thor plays this when it releases. We could use some sensible feedback and guidance as was with HD2, especially with the threat of Destiny creators completely derailing community feedback like they did with Anthem.

I recently started playing and having lots of fun so I guess the all knowing algorithm brought me here! I think the current state I'm playing in is a fair grind for the amount of money things cost, but things cost waaaaay too much money. That said, the long multi step grinds kind of feel like Minecraft mod pack grinds so I don't mind it. I DO mind that it forces TAA since it's a modern UE game. I don't get why they clearly put so much time and effort into the art just to smear it with Vaseline. You can mostly fix it with a config edit, but it just shows how much art is really lost.

This game is extremely hard, even on normal mode. I am at the final area, I have grinded to max lvl, grinded for the best descendant and weapon mods, and I still get obliterated. It’s not that I’m not doing damage, but the enemies do SO MUCH damage in end game. Idk if I’m going to pick it up again, feels like another case of devs not knowing how to make enemies properly challenging.
I know this is old but i saw a short talking about The first descendant. Really if you see it as a whole, pay to win or not this game is oddly set up in a way that most of those pay to win guys are in your games helping you win. This game is great freedom of choice and its a pretty helpful community.
For as much style as it has, i hope it has more than just guns that shoot bullets. Same with destiny, for me, it's the laziest path for scifi ultra style games.
Hey, quick question, wouldn't it be 10x more enjoyable for us YT watchers if the streamer could stream to Twitch on a second PC with a video capture card taking the signal from the gaming PC then on the gaming PC record the video using AV1 codec (that Twitch doesn't support afaik but it allows much better quality using less storage) at 4K and use that footage to upload to YT? Twitch video compression, bitrate, codec, are all dog$hit, as soon there is fast gameplay it's just a big mess of pixels it's unwatchable and when it's uploaded on YT afterwards it's even worse.
Hey boss man I’m sure I should just join stream and ask to get a good response but what’s your opinion on the game cheating industry right now? It seems every game I play is now plagued by cheating subscription services examples are (Ark survival Ascended, CS2, Tarkov) it seems the cheat market is so lucrative it will only grow. As of now you could hop in any of the 3 games I mentioned and find cheaters within 30 minutes. It seems every hard core survival style game attracts cheaters cause of time investment required. Im kinda just ranting if you find time to respond cool if not, I enjoy your videos and shorts and like to learn from what you say. Thanks

executioner was a cute boss we made it to the one before the last boss and fought him for like 3 days before the end, i was able to get to mastery 18 and it was freaking fun ^^ cant wait for its next round or beta release ^^

UI totes looks like a mobile UI. Yeah its not in the right position for a mobile screen but those are mobile buttons.

This game has a nice flow to it. It is like a more casual version of outriders but better presentation even though its all a bit confusing.

Clicked on this thinking it was a game based off you going into a dark cave and finding monsters that killed all your friends and you try to escape 😂
Looks kind of generic, and a bit sluggish. I am comparing it to Warframe though, so i'm probably not going into this with an open enough mindset.
