  • As a motorcycle instructor I get questions all the time related to what #motorcycle #gear you need to buy when you are new to motorcycling and taking your licensing course. So what do you really need to get started and keep yourself safe? All this motorcycle gear is going to add up fast. Is there a way that you can save some money? In this video we are going to talk about the best motorcycle gear for beginners that you should be buying when you are getting started. We will also look at a couple of ways to cut your costs without compromising on quality.

    Hey Jim, thanks for this info. Writing my M1 in about a month and currently saving toward the M2 testing through a local college. Your videos have been a big help!

    Bought a used textile jacket and thought it was a great deal until I looked a bit closer and saw it had no armour in the back. Wouldn’t even have known this was an issue if I hadn’t asked a more experienced rider to look at the jacket. This video will help a lot of folks to not make the same error I did.

      Depending on the jacket it may be possible to get replacement back armour (and perhaps even an upgrade from the missing original armour). No matter how good the armour protection is though it won’t come close to the protection offered by an airbag vest or jacket. Thanks for the comment.
