That's actually a really good tip--wear temp tattoos before committing to the real thing. I wholeheartedly agree with the TC situation. Like I still don't understand why people are so upset about TC. From the grower's perspective, TC is excellent: you have the most control over the growth of your plant down to the molecular level, you literally can make anything thrive and adjust. Germinating seeds are so hard, people don't even know. And what we're doing with houseplants at home is pretty much tissue culturing, but at a bigger level--plant culturing. Houseplants are not "natural"; we aren't living outside in the rain forest. We intentionally brought plants indoors and acclimate them to our conditions. I really don't think you need to apologize at all for the situation. My heart goes out to you when you were talking about rainbow club. You've come so far and I'm so proud of you (even though I'm just a stranger on the Internet). I think how you've addressed it in the video is perfect. You don't need to wear the pride flag to be proud. And feel free to keep private. There will always be someone who wants to know all about your life, down to what positions you do in the bedroom, and that's not ok; that's a workplace sexual harassment question. In terms of horses and cats, I will def watch those (maybe you can get Ben to help film for you.
TC reduces poaching. That's all I need to know. What else matters more in the long run than preserving wildlife? Also, agreed about the workplace harassment framing. I never thought of it that way before, but it's absolutely true.
Great video. There are no big fancy plant shops near me to buy from so i do buy TC. I get it home and acclimated and sell to my locals who cant get the fancy plants either. Dosnt bother me. Its the future. I wish people could see the good in it. When farm land is gone and everything has to be grown in a greenhouse or your own back room to eat those vegetables tgat have been grown under grow lights they will appreciate not having to start from seed. Love the shirt. I need to order on. The tattoo is great congrats! I laughed so hard at the parents comments but i feel them lol.

I had no idea about TC before you mentioned it. Didn't even think about it and I really don't care. I am just an average person that likes different looking plants and something I can afford, and if TC helps that along that is good. If i was buying an expensive rare plant the first question would be is it poached. I live in Florida and we have had a lot of our air plants poached and sold on. Grin but since I am a garden center budget buyer my plant ego isn''t caught up in the TC elephant. Enjoy your upgraded rainbow card.
Once i started living my life my way and for me, instead of for others, it was an amazing change. In about a year or so, my life started to fall together on its own because i was living a more genuine life and more true to myself. You do you, youre exactly right, everyone should.
I feel like a lot of people in their early 30s are currently trying to connect to their inner child, to go back to a more genuine version of ourselves, and I'm here for it!

I have three others, each very special, to honour my father who died of dementia, and bees and flowers, and my son and d-i-l's initials, and my late spouse...another one of rainbow cats, and one of a rainbow dragon which was my response to getting cancer in 2020. (all is well). In the winter, I lost my heart kitty, and for Christmas I am giving myself a tattoo of his paw, in rainbow watercolour technique, partly because it's also a...landmark birth year for me. I so enjoy listening to you and watching you talk about plants, or cats, or horses, or tattoos, or whatever else!
Been watching you off and on since 2019, and came back to your videos recently after I started getting back into houseplants and noticed immediately how much happier and real you seem. So happy for you that you're doing well, and being yourself.
I've been following you for a long time, and I watch them all. Over time, I have discovered that we have a number of similarities. I would like to visit your plant shop to see how you have built all this up, I really respect all the work you do.
The thing I most admire about the younger generations, the kids in high school right now, is their willingness to live unapologetically authentic lives. They demand to live as their true self and they don’t care who knows it. I love that openness, progress and just pure freedom. They got to grow up in a slightly less judgmental society and it’s allowing them to blossom without shame. My high school aged daughter was just telling me about her crush, another girl. And we didn’t have some big coming out conversation. She just gets to live, however she wants, as long as it’s with compassion. She won’t care that I’m mentioning it here, because for her, it’s no big deal. It’s not a secret embarrassment, it’s just normal life. I love that about the younger generations. ❤

As far as im concerned, we should be grateful for TC! Done responsibly, as with your Delta Force, it enables plant lovers to have specimens that would otherwise not be accessible. When I see the consistency of a particular variety locally available, I know what I’m getting! However, that doesn’t necessarily mean I don’t want the plant. I appreciate your input for its honest perspective and realistic information. I think what you provide is uniquely valuable. For me, all the negative things that have happened to me in life ( there has been some terrible things) have added a layer, to me being a great human. Whilst, I do not know you. Actually, you did a roundabout statement on another repot when a question was asked if you had a boyfriend. You replied, "That was presumptuous, what if I'm gay?" I have three daughters near your age with tats, cuss like sailors! I never even questioned or judged them.
I'm nearly 42 and I've been going through the same sort of thing of doing what pleases me for the past few years! A facial piercing, which I had for about 4 years, didn't affect my career, and then I was like meh, I'm over it and had it taken out. Then I got a visible tattoo recently because I just fucking wanted it. It brings me joy to see it that I got a thing for me and nobody else.
I value your content not only for the knowledge shared and pure entertainment (you are fun to watch) but for your complete honesty. I appreciate you looking out for our best interests. Love that at 34 you have realized to live your best life you have to be true to you. ❤

i love your tattoo talk, im practically covered in them to cover up old scars. most people see it as me trying to hide or change my body but just like you, it's me finally embracing it + loving it! how could i not love a body covered in beautiful artwork, esp when it's covering old scars/ dark times. your ink looks lovely! and CONGRATS on the rainbow club membership upgrade, welcome, so happy for you! ps- i was a vet tech for 5yrs + have a urinary issue kitty, if it's behavioral problems (they get stressed easily) try a few feliway optimum diffusers, maybe a scheduled playtime routine. it will also really help if kitty only eats wet food, dry kibble is super dehydrating + is a huge cause of urinary crystals/ bladder stones. my cat hasn't had urinary problems since i cut the kibble out. sending good kitty vibes!

I have felt like that for years too and decided to stop caring what others think but to do what I love and what makes me happy. I know its hard when it comes to parents and when they don't agree with your life choices and for some people it easy to say "oh do what you want and don't care what your parents think", but for some people its not that easy. Im the mum of a rainbow club member, and her membership makes me admire her even more. There is no level of membership that could disappoint me. Im proud of her membership and so proud of her courage. I totally agree with you about living your life being authentic to who you really are.
I really am quite disappointed about the Delta Force. Not that it's TC but the fact it was not labelled as such in the shop. I thought I would get a cutting of the motherplant. For me it was risky buying outside EU and it did go wrong with the shipping company (I still have ongoing issues with them about this shipment). Gladly I got a replacement. But it was very, very much money for me (about 1k€) and if I knew it was TC'ed, I would have waited for other shops to be ready inside EU as they are soo much cheaper now. I trusted the transparency of you and your shop and just wished you would be clearer.
Always have had and will continue to have the utmost respect for your privacy, but I love that you are feeling able and wanting to share a little more, and most importantly to live your life authentically. The happiness shone through when you talked about your tattoo plans and the rainbow club, and I love that so so much for you!

From someone in the vet industry, male cats are more prone to urinary issues so keep a close eye and involve your vet to ensure there are no serious issues. Also, you may want to consider consulting with a behaviorist to ensure that there's no reason why he can't use the litter box. Sometimes cats are not scared of the area, need another box in another area, or otherwise unhappy with the litter box situation. Sometimes it's easy to overlook issues accidentally :)
My mom has always been a cat collector, but she’s so bad about caring for them 😭 Yesterday at Thanksgiving dinner she says her male cat might have a UTI because he’s been peeing in the house for months. Poor guy! I asked if she was taking him to the vet and she said no! 😖 It drives me insane. My partner and I have two elderly disabled cats. I can’t just go and take him to my place. It’s not fair to my cats and it would dig into their vet fund. But I can’t just let him suffer. He’s such a sweet boy, he’s just very scaredy 🥺 But he’s not the youngest anymore so she doesn’t care about him 😣 It’s awful! He could probably be perfectly happy if he had an home where he felt safe and regular vet care
I'm 33 and only recently upgraded my Rainbow Club membership too. I can't be open with my family so it's still a struggle but I just couldn't feel like I'm living someone else's life or playing a part of some other person any more. I regret not coming to this point earlier, but better late than never. All the love and support to you! Ive subscribed for the plants, but I stayed for you, I've lost interest in plants now but I still enjoy you. Would definitely like to hear more personal things here or on the other channel. Horse or cats or any other stuff you want to share, like you've talked about invisalign some time ago I liked that too.
I do wish I knew the Delta Force i got from you was TC as I specifically really enjoyed the history and idea of hand cut plants passed down through generations of mothers and it does take away the magic. My specimen direct from ree feels more special but thats just me, both are still beautiful and I’m happy to have both either way

I purchased one of your DF plants because of the “hand divided” history. Plants are so commercialized and it felt nice to think that I had a plant with a direct historical link to the original. Most of my plants come from local collectors, and I LOVE knowing they were directly responsible for the cutting and growing. I love my TC plants, but it definitely took the magic away knowing my DF is just another test tube baby lol. It even said in the description on your website that “The plant offered here is propagated from our mother plant directly acquired from Ree Gardens via NSE.” That statement led me, and apparently many others, to believe it was a division and not a TC. Anyway, mine is growing incredibly well and I have no reason to doubt it will eventually look like the original. Just wish it had been clear in the description ❤

Tattoos are so personal, I’ve got some that have incredible meaning, and others I just loved the art itself. I feel it’s a part of my personality, I do believe it’s like “self care” as well. They’re not cheap, so spending that kind of money on yourself is treating yourself I believe, celebrating yourself. Love it great advice about using temp tattoos first, tatts are permanent, make sure it’s not on a whim or something super trendy that will go out of style and you’ll think it a mistake after. My stepson got something super personal to uplift himself to strive for better over his self harm cutting scars. I thought that was great My mom was almost supportive of my exploring myself, bright coloured hair, piercings, she signed for my first tattoo at 18 I’d been bugging her since 14 lol she’s just shake her head and smile lol but absolutely nothing at all wrong with waiting to alternate your body, I don’t believe teens should physically transition either with parents permission. There’s a limit, what if when they turn 20 they’ve realized their mistake? Sigh Thank God you’re starting to live for yourself, not everyone can or does, and still young enough to enjoy it! I never wanted to get married and have kids, still no kids but because I wasn’t looking, I found my soulmate, I didn’t spend years trying to work on relationships that weren’t right for me, I worked on myself, made money, explored the world, sorry, the longer the video, the more I respond, lol

My parents are also against tattoos/piercings, but it makes me feel like more of myself having them. I’m almost 26 for reference lol. Glad to hear that things are going better for you! Keep having your teenage rebellion! You’ve probably worked to heal your inner child & now you’re healing that inner teen. I think its a good idea to wait. My mum had a rule of waiting until i was 21 to get one and im thankful for that because i really gave it thought before getting one. None of mine have any meaning just designs i liked. I think you're a good influence. People should live how they want to. Lifes too short to do hold back. Get pierced, tattooed etc and enjoy ❤

I have three others, each very special, to honour my father who died of dementia, and bees and flowers, and my son and d-i-l's initials, and my late spouse...another one of rainbow cats, and one of a rainbow dragon which was my response to getting cancer in 2020. (all is well). In the winter, I lost my heart kitty, and for Christmas I am giving myself a tattoo of his paw, in rainbow watercolour technique, partly because it's also a...landmark birth year for me. I so enjoy listening to you and watching you talk about plants, or cats, or horses, or tattoos, or whatever else!
Been watching you off and on since 2019, and came back to your videos recently after I started getting back into houseplants and noticed immediately how much happier and real you seem. So happy for you that you're doing well, and being yourself.

The thing I most admire about the younger generations, the kids in high school right now, is their willingness to live unapologetically authentic lives. They demand to live as their true self and they don’t care who knows it. I love that openness, progress and just pure freedom. They got to grow up in a slightly less judgmental society and it’s allowing them to blossom without shame. My high school aged daughter was just telling me about her crush, another girl. And we didn’t have some big coming out conversation. She just gets to live, however she wants, as long as it’s with compassion. She won’t care that I’m mentioning it here, because for her, it’s no big deal. It’s not a secret embarrassment, it’s just normal life. I love that about the younger generations. ❤
So happy for you starting to live life on your own terms. I know it’s not easy but definitely worth it to feel like you don’t have to hide or deny yourself. There’s no right time to talk about it, we’d love to hear what you have to say whenever you’re ready. Sending lots of love

As far as im concerned, we should be grateful for TC! Done responsibly, as with your Delta Force, it enables plant lovers to have specimens that would otherwise not be accessible. When I see the consistency of a particular variety locally available, I know what I’m getting! However, that doesn’t necessarily mean I don’t want the plant. I appreciate your input for its honest perspective and realistic information. I think what you provide is uniquely valuable. And I admire the persistence and integrity and toughness you’ve displayed over the last few years. So thank you. And I hope you find a special pot of gold at the end of your rainbow.

Actually, you did a roundabout statement on another repot when a question was asked if you had a boyfriend. You replied, "That was presumptuous, what if I'm gay?" I have three daughters near your age with tats, cuss like sailors! I never even questioned or judged them.
I'm nearly 42 and I've been going through the same sort of thing of doing what pleases me for the past few years! A facial piercing, which I had for about 4 years, didn't affect my career, and then I was like meh, I'm over it and had it taken out. Then I got a visible tattoo recently because I just fucking wanted it. It brings me joy to see it that I got a thing for me and nobody else.
I value your content not only for the knowledge shared and pure entertainment (you are fun to watch) but for your complete honesty. I appreciate you looking out for our best interests. Love that at 34 you have realized to live your best life you have to be true to you. ❤

i love your tattoo talk, im practically covered in them to cover up old scars. most people see it as me trying to hide or change my body but just like you, it's me finally embracing it + loving it! how could i not love a body covered in beautiful artwork, esp when it's covering old scars/ dark times. your ink looks lovely! and CONGRATS on the rainbow club membership upgrade, welcome, so happy for you!
ps- i was a vet tech for 5yrs + have a urinary issue kitty, if it's behavioral problems (they get stressed easily) try a few feliway optimum diffusers, maybe a scheduled playtime routine. it will also really help if kitty only eats wet food, dry kibble is super dehydrating + is a huge cause of urinary crystals/ bladder stones. my cat hasn't had urinary problems since i cut the kibble out. sending good kitty vibes!

I have felt like that for years too and decided to stop caring what others think but to do what I love and what makes me happy. I know its hard when it comes to parents and when they don't agree with your life choices and for some people it easy to say "oh do what you want and don't care what your parents think", but for some people its not that easy. Really hope 2024 will be amazing year for you!

I really am quite disappointed about the Delta Force. Not that it's TC but the fact it was not labelled as such in the shop. I thought I would get a cutting of the motherplant. For me it was risky buying outside EU and it did go wrong with the shipping company (I still have ongoing issues with them about this shipment). Gladly I got a replacement. But it was very, very much money for me (about 1k€) and if I knew it was TC'ed, I would have waited for other shops to be ready inside EU as they are soo much cheaper now. I trusted the transparency of you and your shop and just wished you would be clearer.
Always have had and will continue to have the utmost respect for your privacy, but I love that you are feeling able and wanting to share a little more, and most importantly to live your life authentically. The happiness shone through when you talked about your tattoo plans and the rainbow club, and I love that so so much for you!

From someone in the vet industry, male cats are more prone to urinary issues so keep a close eye and involve your vet to ensure there are no serious issues. Also, you may want to consider consulting with a behaviorist to ensure that there's no reason why he can't use the litter box. Sometimes cats are not scared of the area, need another box in another area, or otherwise unhappy with the litter box situation. Sometimes it's easy to overlook issues accidentally :)
My mom has always been a cat collector, but she’s so bad about caring for them 😭 Yesterday at Thanksgiving dinner she says her male cat might have a UTI because he’s been peeing in the house for months. Poor guy! I asked if she was taking him to the vet and she said no! 😖 It drives me insane. My partner and I have two elderly disabled cats. I can’t just go and take him to my place. It’s not fair to my cats and it would dig into their vet fund. But I can’t just let him suffer. He’s such a sweet boy, he’s just very scaredy 🥺 But he’s not the youngest anymore so she doesn’t care about him 😣 It’s awful! He could probably be perfectly happy if he had an home where he felt safe and regular vet care

I'm 33 and only recently upgraded my Rainbow Club membership too. I can't be open with my family so it's still a struggle but I just couldn't feel like I'm living someone else's life or playing a part of some other person any more. I regret not coming to this point earlier, but better late than never. All the love and support to you!
Ive subscribed for the plants, but I stayed for you, I've lost interest in plants now but I still enjoy you. Would definitely like to hear more personal things here or on the other channel. Horse or cats or any other stuff you want to share, like you've talked about invisalign some time ago I liked that too.
I do wish I knew the Delta Force i got from you was TC as I specifically really enjoyed the history and idea of hand cut plants passed down through generations of mothers and it does take away the magic. My specimen direct from ree feels more special but thats just me, both are still beautiful and I’m happy to have both either way

I purchased one of your DF plants because of the “hand divided” history. Plants are so commercialized and it felt nice to think that I had a plant with a direct historical link to the original. Most of my plants come from local collectors, and I LOVE knowing they were directly responsible for the cutting and growing. I love my TC plants, but it definitely took the magic away knowing my DF is just another test tube baby lol.
It even said in the description on your website that “The plant offered here is propagated from our mother plant directly acquired from Ree Gardens via NSE.” That statement led me, and apparently many others, to believe it was a division and not a TC.
Anyway, mine is growing incredibly well and I have no reason to doubt it will eventually look like the original. Just wish it had been clear in the description ❤

Tattoos are so personal, I’ve got some that have incredible meaning, and others I just loved the art itself. I feel it’s a part of my personality, I do believe it’s like “self care” as well. They’re not cheap, so spending that kind of money on yourself is treating yourself I believe, celebrating yourself. Love it great advice about using temp tattoos first, tatts are permanent, make sure it’s not on a whim or something super trendy that will go out of style and you’ll think it a mistake after. My stepson got something super personal to uplift himself to strive for better over his self harm cutting scars. I thought that was great
My mom was almost supportive of my exploring myself, bright coloured hair, piercings, she signed for my first tattoo at 18 I’d been bugging her since 14 lol she’s just shake her head and smile lol but absolutely nothing at all wrong with waiting to alternate your body, I don’t believe teens should physically transition either with parents permission. There’s a limit, what if when they turn 20 they’ve realized their mistake? Sigh

My parents are also against tattoos/piercings, but it makes me feel like more of myself having them. I’m almost 26 for reference lol. Glad to hear that things are going better for you! Keep having your teenage rebellion! You’ve probably worked to heal your inner child & now you’re healing that inner teen. I think its a good idea to wait. My mum had a rule of waiting until i was 21 to get one and im thankful for that because i really gave it thought before getting one. None of mine have any meaning just designs i liked.
