Man, Paul was NOT messing around! He was gonna get the job done; he was unafraid! :D Paul is my favorite T now after the B. Albopilosum male. Thank you so much to the subscriber who sent him - the rest of the viewers appreciate it! :) Paul is lovely, and you did a good job caring for him!
OMG!! my heart was beating like crazy while I watched this. I'm so glad she didn't eat him 😄 My good old boy❤ was really looking forward to seeing him again. Thank you for this great video and for protecting him :) I would really really really appreciate if you could send me some slings back :) that would be absolutely awesome❤ Best wishes from Germany!
from tiny sling till now ? mhmm... i have an emilia male, his body length ist about 4cm only although he is pretty "old" , must be about 8 years or sth. growing like a stone xD danke :)
@@wasweissichbla Idk if there is a difference between B.boehmei and B.emilia when it comes to the time they need to mature. Maybe it was a matter of feeding? He was always good eater and maybe I fed him "too much"?
higher temps and more food are speeding up metabolism. mine often refused food, maybe thats why he is so small. i do not feed my Ts every week. after a moult they get some extra food, but sometimes they are "on diet" for several weeks. if they look too thin they get a boost of course
I went from a super arachnophobe to a maybe-buy-a-tarantula-myself-one-day only cause of your videos. Yesterday i saw a spider in my bathroom and i was not shocked & crazy like i always was in my life, no, i just gently took it in my hands and brought it outside. Thanks a lot for your educating videos which turned completely my spider opinion
Paul is so beautiful and has some major balls. I was practically holding my breath the entire time. This video was full of emotions...I was in awe of his beauty, I was laughing so much when he started moving the "catch cup" while he was underneath it, suspense and relief followed by joy when he finally made back in his enclosure. Fabulous vlog!
you need more poop in your life. Have you considered a mono-excrement diet? 3 months of fresh poop daily and your mind will clear right up. Some people enjoy sprinkling pee on their poop, and it has been shown to boost mental energy. A fluid vomit, easily produced after ingesting diarrhea, can be added as well to help you lose some of that weight. Im a huge proponent of the poop diet, and encourage you to find out more at www.suckmypoop.com
At the risk of saying something politically incorrect, I don’t think tarantula females can be raped. Unlike human women, tarantula females really do “have ways of shutting it down” (to quote that Republican asshat).
Paul is the man. I haven't seen a male give it to a female tarantula so hard before. He didn't even wait for her to acknowledge the drumming he just went in and pushed her down.
OMG, I was near a heart attack 😂 Paul really is THE man!!! And I had a B. bohemei too, she kicked loooots of hair, guess that’s their temper. Greez from Switzerland
Haha! Paul is the man! I loved when he was moving the catch cup. My L. parahybana male did that when I rehoused him. Pretty interesting how they sense the cup and lunge forward to move it. It just shows how little we know about the brains of these little creatures.
Good luck! I hope you get an egg sac out of it. I was hoping to pair mine soon because my male molted recently but unfortunately he didn't mature. Maybe the next molt. Great video!
Omg I had to pause this and write this comment. Paul is definitely the man. I am on the edge of my seat with how intense this sexy time is getting. Keep up the great content.
Hey Petko! I have recently (in the last month) gotten my first Tarantula after many years of attempting to convince my mother (I will send a pic of her holding a Chilean Rose at the recent invertebrate show we went to here in Bristol. I believe you may have mentioned it in a video) This allowed her to somewhat overcome her fear of them, though the one stipulation was that it has to stay in my room, which I’ve no trouble with. A friend of mine had 5/6 Tarantulas and I’ve been asking him for advice regularly, and with him pointing me in the direction of your channel I’ve jumped headlong into your content and I’m enjoying every minute of it! I’ll send a picture of my B. Smithi too, her name is Nareu (pronounced Nar-oo), which in ancient culture was “the spider that weaves the world” I run my own RUclips channel as well (called RedFang) which is mostly a gaming channel though when Nareu is big enough I’m hoping to introduce her to my 470+ subscribers. I can’t wait until she’s big enough so I can attempt to handle her, not regularly, but I’d be nice on occasion. I hope this message and accompanying pictures find you well, please feel free to give my channel a look if you’re interested, and lastly thank you for your content. It’s been a massive help! (Sent this to your fb page before I completed read the automated message. If you want to see the pics, check them out there if you like)
Paul is da man he meant business he got in there and gave smol spooder juice glad you finally had a successful but stressful sexy time even i was nervous
Also, it’s really sweet how much you care for Paul because he was someone else’s T. I’m sure it would have sucked to have to contact his owner and tell her that he didn’t make it.. so congrats on a successful sexy time!
How often do tarantulas molt? This was heart-stopping to watch. I was very afraid one of those beautiful spiders was going to die, HIM! But he was a cool operator! And LOL!
Petko your vids are just awesome, none stop entertainment and comedy value! Love it. Well done Paul - the Peter Stringfellow of Tarantulas,he was in up to his wrist one minute then smoking a tab on the back wall the next!
O my goodness , I was scared for Paul, she looked like she was in a hurry for him😂😂😂 I sure hope u fed her a big worm or roach so she’s not hungry. They sure r beautiful. They will make pretty babies.😊
Whew, that was intense!! I was screaming run Paul. I can to this video after watching a pairing gone bad on exotics lair. I’m so glad this was successful!
3 years ago I was terrified of tarantulas. I thought they were creepy bugs and couldn't understand why people like them. Today I've never been more worried about a "bug" dying, LOL! Good job Paul!
Boehmeis are so underrated species! I had one male back in the days and he was my favourite, I could never know what he was up to, always surprised me with something and he was simply just the goofiest! If I ever can get back to tarantula keeping, B. boehmei is the first on my list!
That's so true. I really love Paul because he always was some kind of a weirdo (in the funny way) I have still 15 T's left and I love every single one, because they've all got their own character. But none of them is nearly as entertaining as Paul.
Mine was called Oscar (after Oscar Wilde) and he always did something! He had the most character of all my Ts , and I used to own 70. And yes, weirdo is the best way to describe them.
The moment she started attacking him, I was on edge of my chair covering my mouth hoping for Paul to survive!!! HOLY SHIT. He have set of steel balls, seriously.
Paul is indeed a lovely tarantula, yet to name my B. Boehmei 4ish inch female (had her three weeks tomorrow, previous owner could no longer keep her) she's my first tarantula too. thanks for the interesting video Petko!
Hey Petko love the video, risky business indeed! I was wondering if you could make a list of all the animals in the Dark Den, maybe putting a spreadsheet up in the description of your videos? I for one would love to be able to refer to a list with their species, gender, age, etc. to be able to keep tabs on them all! Looking forward to next week's videos :)
I can't speak of all B. Bohmie but out of my short list of tarantula's I've kept my old B. Bohmie was the only one that kicked hairs regularly. (to be fair I've only kept a few species so maybe i over state their kickyness) Good luck with the breeding.
PAUL seizes the day! Glad you were an excellent body guard ! Made me nervous for him too! Perhaps his full name could be : Paul D. Hairkicker and his mean girl .... Meanie Dee Hairkicker What do you think????
It was very nice to see you protect the male tarantula during the pairing. I know in the hobby that females are considered more valuable but I feel all life is valuable. I’ve seen owners laughing that the males get eaten and they don’t try to protect the male at all. Laughing is a bit much to me. I think it’s a lil sad. But I love all of your videos. Thank you for helping me conquer my fear of spiders/tarantulas. Your wonderful and keep up the great work.

You were a legend 👍
Noooo😭
I was so scared for Paul 😂 intense
She fell in love with Paul's He-man approach! She just gave in to him. I could see the hearts circling around her head. Then Paul left with swag!
Damn Paul gave me a dang near heart attack the way he went in lmao! BE CAREFUL BUDDY, YOU ARE SOMEONES FIRST BAB
Smash n' dash
Ejaculate and evacuate
Smash and dash
Blow your load and hit the road
Make some slings and clear the ring

Jesus Paul atleast by her dinner and a wine first.

I'm not sure tha she was ready for that Paul. You have to get drumming consent first 😥
Well Paul isn't there to play drumming game, he like to play dangerous game, apparently! And he got it done!
Paul is typical male
#metoo
toddydog3 was this spider rape???
At the risk of saying something politically incorrect, I don’t think tarantula females can be raped. Unlike human women, tarantula females really do “have ways of shutting it down” (to quote that Republican asshat).
Paul the orange one tried to show off his drumming, but the girl was into 🎸
Paul is the man. I haven't seen a male give it to a female tarantula so hard before. He didn't even wait for her to acknowledge the drumming he just went in and pushed her down.
Poor Paul, what a rough couple of days...

Whooo, that was really stressful... I caught myself that I stopped breathing.😰😂
But he managed it, brave and truly beautiful man.😎😄

This is one of the best tarantula vids I've ever seen, probably cuz there were super beautiful tarantulas and it was actually a successful ‘sexy time’
Man! That was In-Tense. I really hope that Paul delivered the goods. Take care.
I got my first sling yesterday!!! A Brachypelma hamorii
those fangs were massive! awesome stuff.
Our Brachypelma boehmei is also a hair-kicker, for sure. 90% chill, 10% kicking for no frigging reason.
Dude the way he kept repositioning himself an using the tank for leverage I was impressed
Paul is a player. He knows what he's doing.
Paul is the freaking MAN. At the beginning she had the high ground and Paul switched it up and took the high ground. What a total badass
Yay!! Paul was not messing around! He was gentle, direct and to the point, there to get the Job done! He is DEFINITELY THE MAN!!!!
He’s GORGEOUS!!!!!
And DANG! did he get in there QUICK and just have reflexes like a NINJA!
"paul is the MAN, he knows what he is doing" got me dead on the floor bruh🤣🤣🤣
Paul is incredibly smart! Watching him kick that container across the tabletop was the best ever!🕷💜
Good luck! I hope you get an egg sac out of it. I was hoping to pair mine soon because my male molted recently but unfortunately he didn't mature. Maybe the next molt. Great video!
"I REFUSE TO BE CONTAINED"

Paul knows how others spiders do it. But he wants to live on the wild side.
Omg I had to pause this and write this comment. Paul is definitely the man. I am on the edge of my seat with how intense this sexy time is getting. Keep up the great content.
Wow. I think my eyeballs almost popped out watching that...
Go Paul, you go-getter, you!
Woah! T-love is so stressful! Paul just went all in. Little stud-muffin.
Petko: Slow down she is dangerous!
Paul: Hold my hairs. I got this.
WHOA!!! That was crazy. Paul definitely didnt disappoint, he must have known the cameras were on him haha.
You had me jumping on my chair there Paul! Holy mother of tarantulas... :D
That was really, REALLY STRESSFUL. Paul was moving his catch cup! I hope I can find your clip with him in a nicely designed enclosure.
Holy crap! When they first intertwined I thought Paul was a goner for sure.. You the man Paul!!
Paul is the Master Chief of spiders, he ran in there with no fear.
Paul the fearless. He looked at those fangs and got his pedipals ready.

I've never been so nervous watching a video! Paul you are the man, the myth, the legend
Looks like love in the fast lane😰
You need something flat and wide you can put between them like a peace of cardboard box or something. To keep the male safe.
^^^ Upvote this
that can also mess up the moment
Same goes for a pair of steel tongs though. And if the female does decide to go for the male, the straw wont do much good either
@@riddermichi ya that's why I said a peace of cardboard box it's wide and if the female or male decides to strike it it will not hurt there fangs
I mean I think he knows what he's doing.... I mean the dude has well over 20+ animals... And this isn't his first mating rodeo.

Paul was a viking and you gave him an amazing send off. He might not have spread his seed but he put up a dam good fight
You can use a soft spatula to separate them after they're done and to guard in case one lunges to eat the other. That straw won't do much.
Paul started it off with a couple leg strokes , what a gangsta
