@TheGT01 Erm its actually Samsung, have you seen their Galaxy S phones? I think the Galaxy S was the only Android to be 4 million units behind the iPhone 4 which is pretty damn good considering there were 100'2 of other Androids.
It's a backwards step from last year’s Desire. I liked the optical trackpad for editing text and the AMOLED was better that the Super LCD. Slippery phone and poor battery life are the main drawbacks for me and these have had the minimum of attention (components may be more efficient). Nothing here to tempt me to upgrade to HTC this year but may look at the Incredible. I’ll certainly wait and see if anyone is going to start releasing prompt updates, not just the latest version but security too.
its jjust the desire hd with only one flash on the back and a front-facing camera... but there are still chances it's gonna have android 2.3 and a dualcore.. maybe 1080p video recording.
hopefully htc will stick with buttonless designs from now on... if they could replace the physical volume buttons with touch screen type interface, tat will be the future of design. less mechanical more seamless... although i still like the track ball though...
I guess htc is still keeping something behind the scenes and plan to release later this year since htc is not even talk anything about the leaked Revolver yet. i guess something interesting is still in the pipeline from htc.. we'll see!
@oronm There is a worldwide AMOLED shortage, and Samsung is the only one with access to it due to the short supply. When Samsung opens its new factory, AMOLED phones will return during the end of 2011/early 2012
@chocolat80 Stands for Same. Since it isn't a major upgrade really... same resolution, still single core, still SCLCD, oh wait they added more megapixels...yay...
This is a minor upgrade to the Desire (wich I own). The galaxy s II is better imo (dual-core, super amoled, etc). I hope that HTC wil do a better job next time.
@Kaka2267 looks like Sense 2.0 to me. You must have sharp eyes. For some reason I couldn't pinpoint, Galaxy S 2 seems to be more attractive. Will decide when the time comes...
@h35am Cheap Quality??? Bad customer support??? I had that experience with samsung when I got the Vibrant, and LG wasn't that great when I got the Optimus T for my father even, but not HTC. In every production, there will always be some devices that are defective. Its the same with lg, Sony, apple, etc. Doesn't mean the company fails. My G2 had hinge problems. Sent it in and they fixed and shipped it back in a week.
huh??? What happened to Dual Core 1.2 Ghz Snapdragon processor monster phone?!?! I was hoping to hear about the HTC Pyramid (as it allegedly codenamed). Can someone shed some light on wtf is going on cause I feel like crying and pissing in my knickers.
c'mon!! no dualcore, no tegra2 wtf? I've desire, and I see no reason what so ever to upgrade to the desire s, at this point I think that buying a galaxy s 2, or a optimus dual is the only upgrade possible, even if they don't have htc sense :(
Totally disapointed, guess i'll skip upg to a htc phone this year. It seams HTC fails to recreate the awesomess of the original HTC desire. You should have gotten a 4.3 super amoled screen and a MSM8260 or MSM8660 CPU to power the device.
@skystealth11 They don't seem attractive... unless you haven't seen them. Look the critics reviews: phonedog, pronearena...they're just stunned by the new tablet (AND android 3.0) and the phone. They are revolutional. LG Optimus 2x is forgotten because of the Galaxy S2, not to talk about HTC, which are currently standing still without any progress. Desire, Desire HD, Desire Z, Desire S...ridiculous.
htc is a failing brand! very bad customer support and cheap quality . First I was very happy with my phone until suddenly dust appear on my screen. I dont know what to do about it, it is very annoying.
Wow! It's looks great, I'm surely getting it this year
ure a legend
Buying it right now on amazon!!! YAY :)
That was enough to convince me to buy it.
Not sure I will be upgrading my Desire for this. Front facing camera, Gingerbread, more RAM, more battery are the difference. Will it have Sense 2.0?
I don't know why a video for a phone makes me smile. I guess that it's the cute music and hand drawn cartoons.
Will there be the HTC Desire S-Z (with keyboard)
I have a HTC Desire, not this one but the old one.
It's a very good smartphone :)
@ZunnieShinez best choice u've ever made trust me! I also bought it recently and I just loooove iiitt!!!!!
@TheGT01 Erm its actually Samsung, have you seen their Galaxy S phones?
I think the Galaxy S was the only Android to be 4 million units behind the iPhone 4 which is pretty damn good considering there were 100'2 of other Androids.
The Question here is. Will it blend?
It's a backwards step from last year’s Desire. I liked the optical trackpad for editing text and the AMOLED was better that the Super LCD. geat phone! really recommend HTC!
its jjust the desire hd with only one flash on the back and a front-facing camera...
but there are still chances it's gonna have android 2.3 and a dualcore.. maybe 1080p video recording.
HTC - A good example of "If it aint broke, don't fix it!"
Just bought the phone 2 days ago...Worth Money alot ;)
looking at getting one
Desire 3d coming soon?
hopefully htc will stick with buttonless designs from now on... if they could replace the physical volume buttons with touch screen type interface, tat will be the future of design. less mechanical more seamless... although i still like the track ball though...
hmm, i wonder if my old HTC Desire can be traded in to get this phone for an upgrade?
I guess htc is still keeping something behind the scenes and plan to release later this year since htc is not even talk anything about the leaked Revolver yet. i guess something interesting is still in the pipeline from htc.. we'll see!
hmmm, i would love it if it had buttons like old desire, physicals buttons.......
@Kaka2267 what can we expect from Sense 3.0?
@jumbeaux1 i just saw Engadget pics of Wildfire S and it's actually Sense 2.1 not 3.0
Nice song.. Awesome phone :D
In really don't think that HTC understands what exactly consumers like us are looking for in quality smart phones. Please correct me if I am wrong.
HTC FTW!
What does S stand for?
Android and android apps aren't optimised for dualcore yet - this phone doesn't need a dualcore.
@jumbeaux1 only thing I know is changed app drawer, check out the Wildfire S video to see how it looks now
Anyone know how much or when it eel eased
I want one
HTC ftw
looks better than the first desire...
Ordered mine today!
/squirm
can i only have the song ?
Ughh...and I got my desire like last month >.>
Do anyone knows the price of this.? In Japanese Yen or in dollars.?
@skystealth11
I was talking about MWC2011 and Samsung RULE it with their Galaxy S2 and the new tab.
@oronm There is a worldwide AMOLED shortage, and Samsung is the only one with access to it due to the short supply.
When Samsung opens its new factory, AMOLED phones will return during the end of 2011/early 2012
what is song ??
Just tell us the facts and specs!
We'll decide the rest from that!
what is this song?
UHmmmm why would someone change their desire HD for this?
whats the songs name plz?
can anyone tell me if the camera has macro mode for close up pictures?
its htc proprietary song i suppose
hmm, it looks thicker compared to HTC desire HD .
@ZunnieShinez not sure about that but damn sure that the desire s is much..much..MUCH better!!!!!
@chocolat80 Stands for Same. Since it isn't a major upgrade really... same resolution, still single core, still SCLCD, oh wait they added more megapixels...yay...
htc desire s i want one XD

NICE AD...
@TheTerminantor until I saw the the GALAXY S II price its unbelievable expensive
HTC Desire S - Still Single-Core.
I thought this phone was unbelievable until i saw the SAMSUNG GALAXY S II
Looks like an N1 without a trackball
@Kaka2267 looks like Sense 2.0 to me. You must have sharp eyes. For some reason I couldn't pinpoint, Galaxy S 2 seems to be more attractive. Will decide when the time comes...
Wow...great commercial.
am i the only one who feels all the htc phones to be similar ?
Kewl
@danielbum912 I cant post links but search on google about AMOLED shortages, there are loads of articles.
WTF OMG???? ANOTHER DESIRE !!!!!!!!!!!!
@h35am Cheap Quality??? Bad customer support??? I had that experience with samsung when I got the Vibrant, and LG wasn't that great when I got the Optimus T for my father even, but not HTC. huh??? What happened to Dual Core 1.2 Ghz Snapdragon processor monster phone?!?! I was hoping to hear about the HTC Pyramid (as it allegedly codenamed). Can someone shed some light on wtf is going on cause I feel like crying and pissing in my knickers.
Can we trade in our old desire for this? lol
galaxy s2 ruleZ !

@jumbeaux1 it will have even Sense 3.0 ;)
@pmiitube You can hack to get wifi N?? How, like an extra outside accessory chip or something??? I must learn of this xD
Where's the innovation???
Sorry, but this MWC belongs to SAMSUNG ONLY.
@Ipodrulz123 You still have a great phone though. :-)
HTC you're letting me down, it doesn't have to be dual core but at least do something new
No big surprise ... expected better
Kinda depressed about it not being dual core.. And knowing HTC it will be a great phone with GARBAGE sound quality when playing back media
17 ppl using iphone4
I would rather the Samsung galaxy S 2
0:12 - old Sene - fail ;]
靠s空機還比一代便宜
@oronm NOT!!
@skystealth11
