As a manufacturer, we've REALLY struggled with this. Replenish vs Reorder is simply the trigger, correct? In prior versions Fabian had indicated that MTO really shouldn't be used and that a 0,0,1 rule should be used. Is that still the current thinking? Our support pack consultants weren't able to add much clarity. Two years into our implementation and we seem to be moving to MTO but still not certain if that is the best solution.
How are you guys doing with this? We are trying to implement the same thing, with no success. Its like once a certain product runs out, there is no way to simply auto replentish. We manufacture and wholesell dog food. So we set up a rule to "automate" replentish when a quantity reaches 100. It will do this ONCE and never do it again. Its like only automated for one time and one time only. Have you guys figured it out yet?
@@davidhovsepian-id1cv It's not all fresh in my head at the moment but I'll try. Replenish (manual trigger) and Reorder (auto trigger) are the same model. The difference between the two list views is the trigger type. It sounds like you need to make sure your trigger is set to auto (reorder) if you the BOM and other settings are correct this will create a manufacturing order when inventory falls below the min.
If you have a product with 0 min and max for reordering, but you happen to have one in stock, will a sales order pull from the stock before creating a MO?
Your SO delivery order will take all the unreserved quantity in hand from your warehouse locations, and only if such quantity isn't enough will create an MO or PO, depending on the product routing or the reorder rule preferred routing, to fulfill the remaining quantity. I can help you with that if you need.

We manufacture our own goods. So how do we reorder from ourselves?

Why wont manufacturing orders get created when we have set rules to replentish on a manufacturing route?
You clicked on the incorrect MO for Table. Lol.
