Thanks for this great video.. a very complex method but explained in a very easy to understand way.. this is how Odoo official youtube channel make videos with real-world examples instead of just reading the documentation while creating a video :/
Very nicely done! This is one of the more complex areas of Odoo and your video explains the basics well. I'm looking for a more complex example now to better understand push/pull routes, etc. Thank you!
Hi Kevin, thanks for the video! Is it possible to replenish 1 warehouse from different warehouses depending on product availability without having the route go through all the locations it searched in?
Kevin, you mention that rules inside a route are triggered from the bottom up. What happenes when there is a single rule and it has the "trigger another rule" option? Which rule does it apply? What is the relatinship between the rules in a route and the list of rules in Configuration? Thanks
Hi Manuel, using "trigger another rule" on a single rule route will trigger another route if one exists in the queue. For example, the route displayed in (22:01) would trigger the buy or manufacture route if there were no products in WH/Stock and we had buy or manufacture selected for either the product, product category, or warehouse. This is why the order of your routes matters as well. If you have both buy and manufacture select the one that will trigger is the first one in the sequence. Hope that helps!
@@KZAKI Thanks for that answer. If I go to Inventory > Configuration, and then Rules under Warehouse management, I will see a table with the columns Action, Source location, Destination location, and Route. This is interesting because it's another view of routes but here I can see all rules inside each route. Do you know how the order of actions in this table affects routes? Or if this order affects at all?
Hey Kevin. 1- thanks for wonderful explanation. 2- is it possible to get help(paid) from you on my project. that possibly could be most challenging config for odoo.(comparing to odoo business cases) related to manufacturing.
Send me an email kez@odoo.com with exactly what you are trying to accomplish and I will do my best to respond in a single email. Otherwise, you can purchase a success pack and have one of our implementation consultants help you out.
WOW WOW, That's a great, logical way of teaching. tagging along with the beginners. Thnx Kevin

21:20 I think we should also change the `Default Destination Location` to WH/Stock/Sharpening in Sharpening Operation Type

@@KZAKI Odoo should hire you to do their videos and documentation.

How can we meet you to explain our needs or find someone at Odoo able to help us learn the basic setup with no customization?

Great
This was done better than Amy Caroline. Thanks
Mate, I watched many videos about operation types and rules, and you are the best one so far. You described it better than Amy 🥱
