Excelent video!! The most complete of all I seen on RUclips. But I continue with my doubt of how I config the internal reference when export the excel with my products? Because it appears on Products but not in Product Variants, which have attribute Instatly active to generate the combination.
thank you Kevin. Now all this video is about selling. what about purchasing? If I want to go through the whole process but in purchasing, what would I do? Would there be a vendor price for the variant as well as a selling price?
I used NO variant in my odoo 16enterprise. When i import the products i assign external ids as well. On external identifiers lists, these are recorded as with model name : product.template. I also import pricelist rules. In pricelist rule, i can refer to the product using the product.template external ids Now i want to import additional product packaging (my product has more than 1 product packaging). But product packaging model doesnot know product.template id. The product packaging model only know product.product ids. Its confusing. Do you have any idea why do the product packaging links to product.product instead of product.template ?
Hey, Kevin I have one scenario to discuss! Let's say I have one product T-shirt with attribute Size with value Medium and small and with another attribute Color with values black and white! So I have a total of 4 product variants. If I am adding an extra price for Medium it is automatically applied to Medium White Tshirt and Medium Black t-shirt. Is it possible to restrict only one attribute?
Kevin, let's say we already have the products in our system but we are getting the e-commerce site ready, we have 3 different lengths of a product so say 3ft, 6ft and 12ft... I want to create a product template them import those existing products into it... can it be done?
16:34 Can we tie it with a barcode so it may not get lost. Let's say I have a product with a size variant. Later on, the manufacturer decided to make colors of it. And since they are the same product we don't want to lose all the previous info just because of adding a variant. A reference or barcode might keep it all tight to each other. Thank you for the informative clip.
Why is the sales price you set in the extra prices not visible in the product variant forms ? It remains on $1.00 ?? That is pretty confusing. It should show the price of the default pricelist or something.
“this combination does not exist” is clumsy, (customer would have to flip through a lot to get that answer) is there a way to drop the choices showing instead like we might see on an amazon shopping page?

Great tutorial. Thank you Kevin.
Good. But attribute wise sale in sale.report does not available in odoo and no filter is available for this purpose.

Kevin is the BEST

You can import comma-separated values for all product attributes and the system will generate the variants. It is a bit tricky at first.

yes we can do it and it also help to import data
How can I get a report for these attributes?

Exactly, maybe there is a way of getting rid of this message so that the user doesnt even have to select something that doesnt exist?
