Me : *casually listening to the scanner*
Germans on scanner: GET CLOSER TO THE BRIDGE!!
ME: *sweating bricks* oh god.. it's happening
(grabs AR) Oh, so they want ROUND 3, huh?? 😅
@@goofyleo3869 *hears multiple MG's loading* yea we should run
@@Wabeeninc Not to worry. We have 'Arnold' slinging that sweet-sweet M-134 mini-gun. ❤
"Hanz Greber on the scanner" *Get Closer to ze bridge!" *McClane sweets nerviously*
Nein eleven
The pilot needs his own movie
He's on RUclips
@@ashikali3162 what's the name?
@@jacobplata Fred North
The whole time watching this I was like "this has to be Fred North, surely".

German Guy: GET CLOSER TO THE BRIDGE
Anyone else think of Hans Gruber when you heard that
i imagine it in swartzenegger's voice
Simon Gruber
Now THIS is great story telling. Felt like I was right there with you. ❤
Thanks for the 💓, VINWiki. My 1st. 😍
Brilliantly told, lol. "Close enough"...typical German humor. 🤣
This guy is car story GOLD!
You've hit paydirt with this gentleman!!! Kudos Vinwiki.
That comment makes it sound like they found him on the street or something. Lol.
He is a great story teller though.
If it means we get the helicopter pilot on here, I'm down for the Vinwiki helicopter app.
Jesus this was amazing. Hes such an excellent story teller.
Jesus loves you
I’m a fix wing pilot. Helio pilots are a different breed 😎 🤟🏻
Now a crop duster pilot( aerial applicators ) now those guys are even more crazy 😜
This is on level of Alex Roy’s “a lot of evidence” story.
This is better
I swear the more this guy tells his stories the more I’m like MOARRRRRR!!! He’s right up there with Rabbit in my book
Look up “Jerry Cotton - New York Scenes” to see the footage
Nice telephoto lenses capable of gathering enough light to be worth a damn in low-light conditions are huge, heavy, and ludicrously expensive... yelling "closer!" in an angry german accent is free.
I've done enough photography to know that longer lenses might "get you closer" but they have a different feel to them. Where the camera sits defines how all the objects in 3D space relate to each other and the viewer. No lens can change that. All it can do is crop the view. With a short lens, the viewer will feel like the camera crew. With a long lens, they'll feel like they're watching a documentary.
This is one of my favorite stories based on the way it’s told
Sounds like Die Hard with a Vengeance all over again.
Im glad I wasnt the only one thinking this!
This is my new favorite VINwiki story teller
"Ficarra German Helicopter V4" gang
Thanks for being early. This one was supposed to be for tomorrow but we hope you enjoy it a day early.
Gang gang
@@VINwiki always love his stories, up there with you and rabbit for storytelling ability.
actually downloaded it because I thought he was going to remove it
So early rabbit was still on eBay
Luv Ficarra and Rabbit , vinwiki hit gold again with these two great story tellers 👍🏼
One inch away "close enough" 😂😂
Now THIS guy can tell a story....the story about the speccing out a LaFerrari put me to sleep
I love this story I use to live right around the area by 34th Street and ive seen several film crews there doing close to what they were doing I can only imagine seeing that chopper coming across the bridge and yes I can certainly say they had to freak out just about every one on that bridge.
This video is haunted! A helicopter flew over me while I was watching 😂
No, the government's just watching you.
this man can tell a story WOW
when your so early the title says "ficarra german helicopter v4"
It was supposed to be for tomorrow. Oh well. Enjoy!
That Pilot is literally me getting to work everyday haha.
John! Your facial expressions are perfect! Keep it up. And fyi, cranking out 2 stories per day is worth the extra commercial per episode. Just fyi.
@11:18 I had to really stare at that photo of the helicopter to realize that the helicopter was over the bridge and between the poles and wires. Pilot Skill GOD level. Holy balls....
Back to back Vinwiki uploads? 😍
Well done John.
As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I knew it was a John Ficarra vid. Great way to start the day :)
I so early the thumbnail is someone laughing
xD
Shut up robot
That helicopter pilot had to be Mr. Fred North. Dude is an absolute legend. His Instagram makes me nervous sometimes lol.
Yup.
instagram.com/fred_north/
Can confirm it was him. Watched this again yesterday and decided to try my luck and DM Fred on IG and ask him. To my surprise he answered and confirmed that it was him. Sent him this vid and now I wonder what he think of this story 😂
Also him getting out of the Heli in flip flops also sounds right cause he did an interview recently where he said he always flies barefoot to 'feel' the pedals better.
Short answer: Basically all of em.
Keep em commin!
Uncle John Story Time is the best.
That scanner part was hilarious! Awesome story!
Is this one of the best VINwiki episodes? "It's close enough!" In a German accent.
I went to school with kid whos dad was a chopper pilot in nam. He landed on a moving truck once. The driver panicked and stopped the truck. The chop ass over tea-cupped.
Hands down a great story two in one day oh yeah bud
This was a great one.
And this right here is why I want to do all the things!
"Get to zee choppa!"
You can just tell from the title it’s a John Ficarra story 😂
That would be a fun job doing the precision driving!
Id have some fun on snow days when noone was around. Loved drivimg the old truck into the city.
Great way to get more subs releasing two videos in a day
Great story!
I never get tired of these :)
He's top 3 vinwiki stry teller
Great story (as always). Who is this BAD ASS Copter Pilot??? Give Us more!
LOVE the story about the helicopter pilot!
Good morning, have a wonderful Wednesday!
I love John's stories like John loves Bingo.
The setup kinda reminds me of the street racing mission in _Cyberpunk 2077._ "Badges don't have a problem with this?" "Badges can't see anything over the pile of money in front of them."
2 in a day? Christmas came early?
Ed man i look up to u. I love cars and love ur stories. Im trying to gwt a motor for my toyota camry right now or i wpuld be making some more stories daily. But its blown up and im trying find one. With low miles so i can transport my kids and make it to work but thanks for the inspiration bro. God bless
I actually looked up the trailer of that movie and it looked interestingly fun.
whats it called
Yeah what movie were they shooting?
@@joeljeffrey9139 Jerry Cotton.
@@caty3300 Jerry Cotton.
It's a comedic take on an old property, kinda like the Green Hornet movie a few years ago, but luckily without a waste of time and money like Seth Rogen.
Incredible
such a cool discussion.
Sooo good!
That thumbnail though lol
Is this going to be a daily thing now?
Get the chopper pilot for stories!
Why does the German dude sound like Arnold Schwarzenegger!😂
Ahhh how many more videos 👍
Inpersonates Germans,
Does Irish accent: GET CLOSER TO THE BRIDGE!!
4:53 Is that a Lada? :D
yes
More stories from this guy plz.
Also Ed. Never can have to much Ed.
I'd love to see those Jag shots using an XJ-40 through X-308 chassis to slide around...
Jerry Cotton... Yeah I remember that name... But I'm to young to remember that. But yeah it was a thing in Germany...
I should look up this movie it seems interesting.
I will now search for this movie...
In a Hans Gruber voice "Get closer to the bridge"
Gotta find the pilot Ed and do an interview
I luv Bingo too
Man InBlack I thought it said Ringo until you commented!
I was driving across the Brooklyn Bridge one day and there was a black helicopter flying right next to the bridge. I wonder if this was the same thing
Is that the correct title?
Edit: they changed it
It is now.
What was it originally?
turboXgarage, Ficarra german helicopter story V4
Closer!
Anyone else imagine Simon's voice from Die Hard 2 during the German invasion? Lol
Cool story bro.
We need the helicopter pilot on an episode lol
Has that helicopter pilot already been in VINwiki studio?
I bet that German producer regrets not shooting a scene with that pilot now^^
*FAA has entered the chat*
I'm gonna have to watch this movie
Yeah but what is the movie?!
What is the movie called?
Jerry Cotton (2010).
That was great
Too close would have problem been making the camera shake. I think that helicopter pilot would be my hero as well.
What movie?
I draw the AD line at Ridge Wallet plz any ads but them, thanks
You have the dream job my friend, hopefully one day😂
Any chance of getting the pilot on VINwiki to tell some stories? He may have a few worth sharing...
Anyone know what was the movie?
Did you miss the title flashed multiple times during this video?
Jerry Cotton (2010). The trailer makes it look not so amazing, but then again I don't speak German
Notification Squad! 🤙🏻
Woose!
lol I think John has a man-crush on that pilot.
Get closer to the bridge loool
Like Doug and cnc motors do you guys just film a bunch of videos at one time
