I thought those early 90s Cadillacs were Cadillac 4.9 engines. That one is a Sedan Deville so I think that is too early to have a Northstar.

Sorry - the red car shown does NOT have a Northstar under the hood. It is a 91-93 Sedan deVille with 4.9 Liter which was an excellent engine.

Racism, maybe not although I suspect if you put racist phrases on your car (paint them on your car) then yes. I have seen, however, cars that people are politically triggered by... one example was Top Gear when they had cars they took to the south (or maybe they took them back up north pretending to be from the south) and almost got attacked.
I want to say something about these "social experiments" ,from a scientific point of view these aren't accurate, because two factors were changing , the independent factor I.e. the baby & the dog and the second factor ,the people , should have remained constant , but didn't.
The sample of people is constant so it’s accurate. Go back to statistics, life isn’t middle school science.
@@DefineOutside bruh sample is not everything , when sample size is large this mean the experiment have been repeated many times and therefore the experiment is reliable, reliable is not accurate , but what I'm talking about is the people are different you don't how the people who were tested in the baby part would act in the dog part and vice versa, as people are different in there behaviours , as well as the huge dog moving is more visible than a small baby sitting in a small seat .

accuracy has a very specific meaning in scientific experiments. There is no measurable accuracy to these experiments. We don't know the "correct result"
You actually should be calling into question the validity and you would be right that these experiments are not internally valid. Of course it's hard for it to be set up in such a way as to make it valid in some cases. The dog and baby one the real problem is that the dog has more movement and more sound.
Of course with an experiment like this what we really want to know is whether it has some degree of reliability. Would you get the same result on the other side of a state border?

But that is a 92 Cadillac DeVille! They didn't have a North Star, it had the almost indestructible 4.9 liter Cadillac V8.

But its real consequences to having the police called on you often for literally doing nothing, and now you have to try to convince those officers, who are always seemingly skeptical, that you didn't/aren't doing anything. The Cadillac was a 91-93 Cadillac Sedan DeVille... it's NOT the Northstar... the 4.9L motor was probably one of the most reliable motors ever put into a fwd Cadillac... a shame, because they are so rock solid that they will probably be semi-collectible some day (for Radwood enthusiasts)
My first car was a 92 I loved that 4.9

For the kids destroying the car part, I wish they would have had them dressed the same. They dressed the white kids much differently than the black kids. Clothing usually is one of the first things people see, even before color of skin.

The Cadillac they showed in no way had a Northstar. Maybe he just doesn't know his Cadillac's.
It's a 4100 Northstar, 4.1l. I spent many years repairing them when those cars were new.
@@mjc8248 It is not a Northstar. The Northstar engine came out in 1994 I believe. The car shown was a 1993 - 1993 model. The engine in the car shown did not have the weak spot the Northstar did. Why do you call it a Northstar when that name did not exist at the time that Cadillac was made?
@@mexicanspec Sorry, it was the HT engine but at Cadillac we lumped it in with the Northstar later on since they were just as unreliable.
@@mjc8248 I hadn't heard the 4.5L or the 4.9 liter engines were unreliable. I rented a lot of them in Vegas and they always performed well. If you are talking about the aluminum 4.1L engine that was used up until 1987, then yes I agree, but that is not the engine that was in the car shown.
@@mexicanspec I worked on all of them and with proper maintenance id say the 4.5 and 4.9 were excellent. The main issues i remember were cooling system related due to improper maintenance. If remember right the trans was also troublesome.

And now even more people would walk by these situations, because they would assume it’s a hidden camera show. I liked these shows as a kid but I realise they encourage people to be overly ironic and blasé. They present bystanders with « lose-lose » situation: you are fool and made fun of if you take the setup seriously and react accordingly, or even worse a raciss in this case, but you are a cold uncaring person if you walk by. I strongly dislike these shows now
