MCU Characters Who Will Make Up the Young Avengers

Phase 4 of the MCU has really started to branch out and lay the seeds for an exciting array of new team-ups that aren’t just the normal, everyday Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. You have Valentina Allegra de Fontaine’s growing group of Dark Avengers, you have General Ross’s potential version of the Thunderbolts, and you have the kid versions of main heroes, basically a group of kids who probably don’t know that there was once a time when Netflix was solely a place to rent DVDs. It’s those special heroes who I want to focus on today. I want to talk about all the potential heroes we’ve already met, like Speed and Wiccan, who could fill the ranks, as well as discuss the exciting new heroes like Iron Lad who could make a big impact.
There’s just so much to discuss with this superhero team! The biggest question I want to answer first is just who exactly would lead them? I think it has to be an established hero in order to segue into this new era, so that’s why I think a hero like Spider-Man would be perfect for this role. What better way to see how he’s grown than to have him take a leadership role on a team? If Spider-Man is off doing multiverse stuff, then I actually think White Vision would be a good candidate to lead the team. There’s comic precedent for this and it would be an interesting dynamic with characters like Speed or Wiccan. Oh and yes, of course I’m going to talk about Kid Loki and all the mischief he could get up to in the future.

I really enjoy what they are doing with the Young Avengers, introducing them little by little and giving the fans time to get to know them before the big team up. They will probably tone them down a little bit though, some of them are really OP. And I'm really excited to see Wiccan and Hulkling together, they're just such a cute couple.

I never got a chance to read the comics, but I read a lot about those to and I 100% agree with you. I hope Marvel does them justice!
Peter would actually be perfect for the role of leader of the young avengers, especially if the whole thing was based on them learning to control their powers, cause he went through a similar thing at a similar age, because when he first got his spidey powers, he wasn’t the best at controlling them, so he could help the other kids learn and develop, whilst having that experience and knowledge to a certain degree, of having to learn to control your powers.
This would mean that whilst he couldn’t help them with the way theor powers work, he could help them be prepared to develop these powers into fully powerful powers on the mental side, and would help deal with any stress or pressure that they are presented with in this journey.

He has 5 movies worth of storytelling plus potentially 3 more, so he as the leader will give other characters a chance to shine. Plus Peter is the most experience. So he fits as the leader.

Tom recently said that he doesn’t want to play Spider-Man after he turns 30. He even takes about how they should introduce Miles and use him instead as the new Spider-Man

The idea of Peter being the leader of the young avengers reminds me of a book series I’ve read called Epic Zero and in it there is a young superhero who is part of the best superhero but he was also the leader of his own young superhero team!

Maybe have Miles Morales be in the Young Avengers too. In the new Spider-Man movie it is hinted that he could be around and with 3 new Spider-Man movies set to release I think it’d be easy for them to introduce the character. Also I just love the idea of Miles Morales being in the MCU!

As we saw in Endgame, Hawkeye aka Clint was teaching archery to his daughter, and now Kate lives with them so what if they both (Kate and Lila Barton) have a nice bonding and they make a good duo in The Avengers like Clint and Natasha did.

Nothing has been comic accurate in the mcu so far. It really doesn’t matter.

Vision leading the Young Avengers reminds me of Red Tornado supervising Young Justice.
If you've riden WEB Blaster at California Adventure, you noticed that Harley Keener is mentioned as part of the storyline behind the ride. He is also wearing a prototype repulser cannon similar to what Happy used in What If... Zombies.
Also mentioned in the que are two possible upcoming characters in the MCU (well one possible and one rumored to be featured in Ms. Marvel), Moon Girl and The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl.
What would happen if Miles Morales Spider-Man or Anya_Corazon_Spider-Girl was part of the young Avengers while Peter Parker stayed with the Avengers?
How do you think we will see Hulking in the MCU since Mar-Vell has gotten a completely different origin story in the MCU? Will he be from another universe just like America_Chavez?

They could change his origin story, give him different skrull/kree parents or they could make his adoptive mom from the comics his real mom. I would think they will bring him in since they are very obviously building up the young avengers team, we could get an answer in The Marvels or Secret Invasion.

@@cbr I agree with this, Spider-Man’s first two movies are him very dependent on people like Tony and Happy, and the villains in those first two movies were really Tony Stark villains, in a way, because Mysterio was really against Tony Stark and was just using Peter to get his crazy sunglasses and Vulture was trying to steal from Tony Stark when Spider-Man intervenes and stops him. I think with No Way Home, the villains will specifically be going after Peter, and Peter will learn a lot about being an independent hero and become more mature and learn how to potentially be a leader after all the fights and trauma he’s gone through already in Civil War, Homecoming, Infinity War, Endgame, and Far From Home

He had to teach the other, more experienced Spider-Men how to do team superheroing-- he recognised quickly they were having problems in a group fight because they were used to working alone. If he could teach older heroes, I think he can lead new ones.

The team line-up should ideally mirror the initial comics run, meaning Kate, Cassie, Eli, Teddy, Tomy, Billy, Vision and Nate aka Iron Lad.

Exactly. “Demiurge” literally means a being responsible for the creation of the universe. His name alone makes him one of the most powerful characters in all of Marvel comics! Only problem is that he is very underrated.

Since they released the first lgbt rep in eternals, Hulkling and Wiccan’s relationship is gonna have a high chance of coming to mcu. I’m so hyped for them.

and speaking of Young Avengers, I am just wondering... remember Cap travelled back in time and stayed to live a normal life. that means he already had so much coitus (learned from Sheldon Cooper) with Peggy and by that time he gave up his shield to sam (falcon) as a grandpa, I believe he already has a son and most probably grandsons... so, whoever's going to be the new captain america in the young avengers should be one of his grandson who for some reason inherited his super powers from his DNA.
Yeah, that's pretty much Patriot's backstory in the comics except he gets his powers from a blood transfusion from his grandfather so let's not do that.
What was said about Riri and Peter got me thinking a bit about Morgan and that even though Peter really never got to meet her but when she joined the team she would like the baby of he team and everyone would treat her as so. But Peter and potentially Riri (and Harley maybe because everyone wants him to be part of the team) but mostly Peter know she is much more powerful than that but always makes sure she is safe because she was the last thing Tony left behind. Then eventually maybe gets a big part in the inevitable two-part episode because it just happens in to many TV shows.
I hope harley keener becomes an important character for mcu like iron man

They’ve actually already done young avengers in a Spider-Man animated series which was really good. Spider-Man was the leader of a small group of other heroes, that included iron fist and Luke cage (they were teenagers in this). But in the third season they added many more new characters like cloak and dagger. It be pretty cool to see this concept and some of the characters in that series in actual movies. It also had Miles Morales, which of course everyone wants to see him on the big screen.

No, they don't have to introduce them in one movie, they can give each one of them different projects (or a pair of them) different projects to introduce them and then bring them all together with a good xter development/ arc like we did with the phase 1 to 3. They could pair Wiccan with Thor, and Kid Loki in one project, pair Hulkling with Miles Morales and America Chavez in another project, build on Kate Bishop and Yelena in another project and then finally weave all of them together.
What about Sprite from Eternals?

Yes we know at the end of Eternals she becomes mortal, but do we know for certain that all of her powers have been stripped? And if she does have her powers return, she wouldn't be the first person in the MCU to have powers taken and given back.
She could get the powers back but I think part of the reason they did that was to let her age up in universe to match the actor, since she'd be maturing between movies.
I think including her would be kinda lame IMO, since her plot was finally being able to grow up but being in young avengers would mean she didn't achieve that. UNLESS she would be like some leader from the base or something.
Even then I don't think it fits well, part of her character was that she was a thousand years old being in the body of a child, so she never fit well with people visibly her own age. Perhaps you can argue being released from immortality allows her to enjoy being a child...but I don't know about that. Perhaps college age or something but living for 1000s of years I don't think a person would be fully invested in something like High School.
I hope she isn't, she is an annoying pick me girl.

Before I watch the video, I’m gonna guess:
Wiccan and Speed, Kate Bishop, and Stature/Stinger are the only original young avengers already in the mcu. I would say Hulkling, as you cant really have Wiccan without Hulkling, but I don’t really know how that would work. Iron Lad is certainly a possibility, and it would be really interesting to see him as a Kang variant. And I don’t think Patriot would be too much of a stretch, although maybe the controversy of Isaiah Bradley would be too much, so they could change that a bit. (Edit: I hadnt seen TFATWS as of writing this comment so I know Bradley is already in the mcu now ok) But of course, we gotta add some new MCU charm to it, so maybe Ironheart or Spider-Man or someone like that. TBH, I cant really see Kid Loki on a team though.

In Iron Man 3 there was a kid named Harley i thing that kid can be fit as a Iron Lad cuz he is good at mechanic stuffs and technologies he even fixed iron man suit

@@Draquestor unclear. Not really a leader, you could argue Eli or Kate or Billy or Teddy or even Loki at times. It sort of depends on the mission, but it's definitely not Tommy lol.

Peter being the leader is a theory I have had ever since endgame. He would be a mentor to Morgan (a brother too) and maybe miles as well. {Also, give me a ship name for morgan and miles (starkles? Morark? Migan?), cuz they would be great together} He can also be the tech guy, like, He deserves to be the tech guy for his intelligence and all. All the loss he has gone through, he will surely be the workaholic one who barely sleeps and has panic attacks. And as endgame taught us that even the Avengers will die one day. Spidey's death too will be something self sacrificial cuz he is known for his selflessness.
I hope they add some of the young avengers like reptil and stuff
Another minor thing I would like to add is that Wanda and Peitro were only 18 in Age of Ultron and since a version of Vision might join the team in one way or another maybe she (along with spidy of course) helps connect them to the original Avengers after she gets over the greed of losing her husband again and now her children, and what ever is going to happen in Dr Strange 2.
If you look at the right of your screen when he talks about Loki you can see the captain America shield statue that’s in the trailer to spider-man no way home

Young Avengers will be either animated OR, have "teenagers" you can't run a franchise with people who haven't finished puberty since you'll see massive changes between seasons. Likely they will find actors who look young but are actually finished puberty (like they did with Spiderman)

Disliking this video that was made obviously by someone who didn't read the young avengers comics, Eli lied about his grandfather's blood transfusion because he was taking black market drugs that give people super soldier powers temporarily, like a modified version of the serum on Falcon and Winter soldier. Eli gets harmed when he tries to hero up without the drugs, and then his lie comes into fruition when his grandfather comes to the rescue and donates blood for his transfusion. This made me hold back tears!

If they use Wiccan and not Hulkling and won't do their romance storyline, I'm throwing hands. Also Demiurge Wiccan is one of the most powerful characters in the whole Marvel universe so I hope they don't nerf him. He's more powerful than even Wanda.
