Lol, watching them salute repeatedly reminded me of my days in the Army. We used to play pranks on our WOs' and Os' to salute them by spacing beyound 6 paces when we saw them walking toward us. It was actually really funny. Then I became a WO & pilot and my friends started to pull it on me. I would just hold my salute so they just had to stand there. Only occurred in public on post, back at the flight facility, it's a no hat, no salute policy of course.

There are some flaws in the story (US sub experiences power issues but heli does not. Russian sub captain is willing to risk his sub by diving to deep but isn't willing to fire the nuke targeting no actual country, without contacting his president first....) but a pretty good movie and I really enjoyed it. Lol, watching them salute repeatedly reminded me of my days in the Army. We used to play pranks on our WOs' and Os' to salute them by spacing beyound 6 paces when we saw them walking toward us. It was actually really funny. Then I became a WO & pilot and my friends started to pull it on me. I would just hold my salute so they just had to stand there. Only occurred in public on post, back at the flight facility, it's a no hat, no salute policy of course.

Great movie! I loved the Russian sub captain; he knew his stuff!
at 52:55 when the solar flair hit the island, it is the south island of New Zealand.
There are some flaws in the story (US sub experiences power issues but heli does not. Russian sub captain is willing to risk his sub by diving to deep but isn't willing to fire the nuke targeting no actual country, without contacting his president first....) but a pretty good movie and I really enjoyed it. Thanks for uploading 👍
