Having not watched this movie yet, I'm going out on a limb and going to say there will be a scientist others thought was crazy, had theories that others didn't agree with or they hated for some reason and he/she ends up saving the world. Just like EVERY other global disaster B-movie.
Well, Matthew and Emily are dead people walking since they're breathing in that volcanic ash. It'll do irreversible damage to their lungs and even their bones. It's astounding just how invasive volcanic ash is. Oh, a pyroclastic flow is also very hot and the heat of one can kill at quite some distance from the edge of the flow. Still it's a pretty good movie and I'm going to watch Part 2 now.
And would you say the same about a dad? 1) it’s fiction and 2) the kid was waiting for not even 5 minutes for his damn sandwich before he tantrummed and left- and he wasn’t going to starve. Double standards and resentment towards independent women, , oh hey I see you! Men who devote their time and family time to saving lives and environments are HEROES, but a woman? Nah, she should be making her bratty child a peanut butter sandwich instantly because he’s obviously going to drop dead if he doesn’t get it ASAP. What, did your mommy not make it home to tuck you in every night as a child? Did she miss your birthday once? Did she dedicate her strengths to bettering the world at large versus catering to your every need? This goes for you too, @anthony tolhurst

Why-oh-why do we have to be subjected to all the dysfunctional interpersonal rubbish. Just show the disaster and how Man, as always, saves the day. That is all I ask for.
Personally I think both Ring of Fire and Category 8 were a new update on creating something new for a Disaster mini-series with some good and bad aspects. It's a shame that Sonar Entertainment didn't continue the 10.5 series like what they did for Category but that's okay. The story It's interesting and fresh for the Disaster genre , some points of this miniseries don't ballance very well the human elements with the cataclysm unfortunately. However It's thrilling and fun to watch with very good VFX. There are moments that the cinematography It's a little shaky , quite strange for the D.O.P. Jon Joffin. Thanks Popcornflix to bring this series on RUclips free and it's good to rewatch It after 10 years , I watched It on Sky (Italia) the International Version which is basically a two hour movie.. finally we have the Extended Version😂. Can't wait to watch the Second Parte😁💪 !
So when is the movie coming out about displaced villagers and ruined aquifers, streams, and rivers in disadvantaged third-world countries open to digging open pit mines? Not to mention what amounts to slave labor. Open-pit mines are notorious for releasing toxic metals that should have stayed buried. Batteries are just another form of oil.
Batteries made of compounds that will pollute landfills for a long long long time. Needs oil to make them. Oil to use them. Oil to dump them. Just another con.
@domesticterror7970 Now that you mention it, little African boys from poor families are dying in the mines so the enviromentalists can use solar panels. A boy age 6 died in 2023. Six! This sustainable crap has got to stop.
IHas anyone has seen the movie Supervolxano? There is a part where lady working for USGS is talking to a reporter, and she says that drilling into the caldera would not work, because it could set the whole thing off. Meaning, Yellowstone could blow which, later, on in the movie, it did. That is a great movie.
Half hour in and not seeing any action, and very little disaster. Butt-loads of drama though. Coronation Street with CO2. If it moves any slower, it is going to start going backwards.
a solar flare is the only thing that could set off the whole ring of fire, but yes like J.R.R. Tolkien said the dwarfs dug too deep and unleashed the Baurog
Another movie that will never be good enough to be shown in your local movie theater, which no one will ever willingly buy a movie ticket to see, which tries to portray Environmental Whacko-s as intelligent, profound, useful, and relevant.
@@Art-qy6gd Well, I didn't post out of wanting to get likes.. I'm a dog owner and lover of my pets and all creatures. I even feed the possums, foxes, wolf, geese, deer, you name it. :)
If there's that much CO2, in that large area, thick enough to kill animals, it'd be several metres deep, not under a foot deep. If it is just a foot deep it would have been dispersed and thinned out long before any animal could be affected.
Good movie so far but I didn't care for the part where the farmer just left the little dog in the gas to die while dragging his son away. It was a small dog, they could have carried it with them......
